Great Location: Volcano to Hilo

CalRating, 5 starstoday
Kerrine was an absolutely fantastic host! From the moment we arrived, she made sure everything was perfect. The space was spotless, cozy, and exactly as described. She was super responsive and gave us great local tips that made our trip even more special. You can tell she really cares about her guests having a great experience. I would 100% stay here again and highly recommend booking with her if you get the chance!

Waiola Guesthouse & Zen Garden

Wendy and David were absolutely lovely. The hale was gorgeous, perfectly integrated with nature. The lanai and bathroom are gems. We had the most delicious orange / tangerine of our lives right off the tree in the front yard.

Coffee Farm Retreat

EricRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Wonderful hosts, Roy & Joy made our vacation extra special. They were there to greet us upon arrival and ensured we had everything we needed for our vacation. They graciously shared so many fruits and veggies from their farm, as well as their own roasted coffee. Could not have stayed in a better location. The road to their home is no joke, but they did accurately warn us about it and we were prepared for it as part of our vacation adventure.

Big Island Cottages #1

JulieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Cherie’s cottage was a fantastic place to stay, I wish we could have moved it around the island with us and stay there every night! We stayed one night on our way to Volcano from Kona, and it is the perfect halfway point. Such a beautiful location, my kids loved seeing the wild animals. We also loved being first in line at Punalu’u bake shop as it is within a one minute drive. My husband also loved chatting about island life with her husband. I would 100% recommend staying here, and it will definitely be on my list for a must stay next time I’m in Hawaii!

Mini Plantation with a View

TeriRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Our family loved the house. There was plenty of space for everyone and the set up was perfect for our needs. We especially loved sitting on the lanai in the mornings and evenings, and falling asleep to the sound of the tree frogs. The location was a further from the ocean than we realized, but we enjoyed the lushness of the hilly terrain and would stay there again. Susan and Iris were very responsive when we reported a few minor appliance issues and it didn't impact our overall experience.

Beautiful property in tranquil, relaxing setting. Centrally located in upcountry with easy access to nearby towns and distilleries. The home is beautiful; you can see the little touches that make it special and shows much pride in ownership. Hoping to make this an annual event and enjoy the property again!

Private Paradise Organic Farm Stay with Ocean View

EmilyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our three generation family all enjoyed our brief stay in Krista’s very nice farm home. The grounds were beautiful and we especially enjoyed the front deck with farm view and can see ocean beyond. We loved walking around trying to decider what kind of fruit trees were on farm. Farm hands were very friendly and happy to answer questions. We will always remember the longons! (Thanks Pierson!) Krista was very kind to take time to give us a farm tour that we really enjoyed. She was a very gracious host, extremely easy to communicate with (she always responded quickly), gave long list of recommendations when I inquired.

Charming 2-bedroom cottage with large screened lanai and unique view of Kealakekua Bay

LoriRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This place was stunning. I could go on and on about all of the wonderful things about this place. Every evening I was gifted with an incredible sunset. The songs of the frogs lulled me to sleep each night only to wake up to the songs of the birds in the morning. The property is not only lush and green but isolated, private and wonderfully peaceful. The local Kona Only market on Sunday, the poke shop down the street, the local Hawaiian lau lau shop and the excellent Coffee Shack restaurant leave you missing nothing from the tourist center of Kailua Kona except the crowds, cars and hustle and bustle of a crowded tourist center. Great snorkeling and beaches within 15 minutes.

Kanaho Place in Holualoa

NaokoRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was easily one of the best Airbnbs I've stayed at. It's a spacious unit located in a peaceful remote neighborhood, yet it's only a 20-30 min drive to larger grocery stores, beaches, and hiking trails. Erin is friendly and responds to messages in a timely manner. No stove in the kitchen, but there was a portable induction stove. The bed was soft for my taste, but still slept well. I'd definitely stay here again!

Family Suite Farm Stay in Kohala

KarenRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We are back to visit Starseed Ranch again and again! This time we stayed in the Ohana Suite with a private bathroom and kitchen. The room was very large and beautiful with sliding screened doors and windows with a private sitting area. If you want to get away from it all and stay in gorgeous surroundings this place is it! The area near the Pololu Valley Lookout is completely magical and Starseed Ranch has its' own magic within it. The hosts are wonderful and the grounds are gorgeous with outdoor eating and sitting areas that include an outdoor gourmet kitchen as well. The yoga room that sits near the creek is a wonderful space to practice or relax in while taking in the breeze, listening to the birds, and the water running along the creek. The stars at night are amazing. We will be back every year to stay at Starseed Ranch as there is no place as magical as this. Thank you Dash and Erika!

Dragonfly Healing Farm

ChristineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
It was a nice place. Pretty view! Cold in the mornings, we used the space heater. The neighbors were a little noisy, someones dogs were barky too. Prepare with a small cooler if doing day trips, for beach time, there isn't one to borrow.

Haiku Hideaway - Stand-alone 2 bedroom farm house

BryanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Absolutely wonderful stay, the place was clean, well appointed, private, and beautiful. My kids were the first ones in when we arrived, and they ran back downstairs to tell me how nice and clean the place was. Cary and his family were wonderful and welcoming, but gave plenty of privacy and space. The outdoor dining area was wonderful, and the kitchen was shockingly well-stocked. Bathroom is large, clean, and also fully stocked. Highly recommended, will definitely be returning when we get the chance, this is a great little Haiku hidden gem.

Kona Coffee Vacation Rental Holualoa

AlgirdasRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My wife and I LOVED our stay at the Kona Coffee Plantation. The spacious, tastefully furnished apartment is set in a beautiful, jungle like setting. Although the unit sits above the main house it offers complete privacy. Loved the large deck off the main living area and the huge sliding doors that lead to it—helped bring the outside, in. The photos don’t do the property justice. Kona, itself is a few minutes drive down the mountain by and some of the best beaches in Waikoloa are an easy half hour drive. Our favorite was A bay. Staying here gave us the best of both worlds—beach and mountain side. Highly recommend!

Peaceful Studio - Hobby Fruit Farm - Beach 10 min

AnthonyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Alejandro is an excellent host, "super" in every sense! The property is unparalleled and as long as you are tech-savvy, easy to locate! Fortunately, being in the luxury travel business and familiar with remote locations in general, I made certain to have all GPS assistance with me. If not, it might have been a bit tougher to navigate. Nevertheless, the unit was very clean, quiet, cool and peaceful! Well-stocked (kitchen, bath, and supplies) with full & reliable wi-fi access, streaming services, etc. Keep in mind that the laundry services are shared and hours are limited (not located inside the unit itself). Not a big deal, but something to note for those who like to do laundry at any time of day (or night). It's hard to beat the overall beauty of this expansive farm! I highly recommend it to all and expect to return soon!

Holualoa Country Home

LonnyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A quiet, cool spot to get away from the crowds and beach area. We enjoyed the temp drop when you climb in elevation to the house. The area seemed very safe and I never worried about theft or trouble. Nice area with nice people around the house. You will be about 20 minutes from Costco and are at a central starting point to go north or south. We didn't spend a whole lot of time at the house other than to sleep and be out enjoying the Big Island.

Staying at Michelle’s house was an absolute dream. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We especially loved the peaceful setting—it felt like our own little tropical retreat. Waking up to the sounds of nature each morning was unforgettable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kauai!
