As another reviewer stated, if you are looking for peace and tranquility, you have found the place. This place is off the beaten path and gives you the real authentic experience of Puerto Rico. Literally right on the beach .... just a great place for sitting in the shade on the porch and letting the waves create their music and enjoy a most fabulous view. Jim and Teresa are excellent hosts! Their dogs are the best. We hope to return someday!

what a wonderful place to stay! we were absolutely Blown Away by the beauty of the house and the location and it's surroundings. we were looking for something a little bit more on the quiet side which is why we chose this side of the island and it did not disappoint. pool was great for all the kids and the size of the house and space was perfect for our group of eight. we would absolutely recommend this place and would consider this one of our favorite places we have ever stayed with airbnb! thank you so much for a wonderful time!

If you are looking for a tropical paradise with a stunning home, look no further! Our family of 3 loved every second of our stay here, from waking up to the sound of waves literally across the street to falling asleep to the coqui serenade on the forest behind us. We spent a lot of time after our day trips lounging on the comfortable and breezy porch and our teen had a great time in the pool, especially when it changed colors! Edna was a wonderful host, very friendly and responsive, with helpful suggestions and even let us eat some of her star fruit off her tree in the yard! Wish we didn’t have to leave 🩵

This was our second year in a row staying at Casa Sandia in Patillas with our 4 kids (4, 8, 12, 15) and we’re already talking about booking again next year. This part of Puerto Rico is gorgeous. Horses, cows, and chickens everywhere. Driving along the cliffs with the Caribbean Sea below. The hillside neighborhood is all local residents with their horses, chickens, and fruit trees on their properties. The house has an amazing view of the sea, an incredible saltwater pool, and is airy with windows everywhere to let the Caribbean breeze through. Our favorite beach is 10 minutes away, Punta Tuna. It’s a wetlands preserve and during the week you might not see anyone. Even on the weekend, there was no one within 100 yards. It’s a more remote beach feel. Our kids harvested so many coconuts that we didn’t even need to bring water. Two delicious food trucks on the way in Maunabo at the mobile station with incredible burgers and Açaí bowls. We love this place.
