Beach house vacation rentals in Galveston Bay

If you are looking for a place right on the water, this is the one! At high tide, you'll almost be IN the water! Beautiful views and we especially enjoyed seeing the large ships come in and out by the jetty. It is a short beach walk to the jetty. We enjoyed watching so many people fishing on the jetty. Surfside is a small community, so if you are looking for a lot of entertainment and restaurant options close by this is not the place for you. If you are looking for quaint beach community with friendly residents, this is your place. (Keep in mind we were there late Nov./Dec. so it may be different during warmer months). It was a quiet, relaxing visit and despite the colder temps (overcast, mid-60s) my 11-year-old enjoyed her first experience in salt water!

We have stayed at Terry and Katherine’s place before and as always WE ENJOYED!!! The beach front is awesome. The deck is PERFECT for watching boats, people, but for us, it was the sunrises!! The house isn’t cluttered and there’s lots of room in the living area! They allow my fur baby too which was amazing! The master bedroom was large and bed was comfy!! The kitchen had all we needed and overall we enjoyed their place! Definitely recommend to stay here! You just can’t beat the view!

This is our second time staying at Vincent’s place. We really enjoy it! It was 8 total adults- so great that everyone gets their own room with a balcony! Even though it’s the second house from the beach, the way it’s built makes it feel like the first. In winter, we’re the only ones around and the beach is a private dream. The house is super clean.

Cat Alley was a great place to spend our family Labor Day vacation. The house was clean, comfy and beach access was the best. Our daughter loved the plethora of beach toys the house provided. The showers were hot and the AC was cold. The cherry on top was the patio platform that gives you un-obstructed views of the gulf from sun up to sun down. If you need a beach house, you've come to the right place!

We had a wonderful time staying here. The beach is easily accessible. Everything was exactly as stated. We even had a tornado a few miles away that knocked out the power and the hosts were very accommodating. We would highly recommend anyone staying. Especially with a large family. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Our stay at Gloria’s place was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we booked, Gloria’s communication was superb—she was incredibly responsive, helpful, and made sure we had all the information we needed before and during our stay. The house itself was spotless, with everything impeccably clean and well-maintained. But the real highlight was the backyard oasis—it was truly amazing! A perfect spot to relax and unwind, it felt like our own private paradise. Having access to the golf cart was an added bonus. It was super convenient and fun to cruise around the area with ease. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend staying here—you won’t be disappointed!

We had 75 degree weather and rain for 5 days straight in July. Who would have thought?! Having the hot tub and fire pit really saved the trip for us. We did make it down to the beach each day for a couple hours but it was rainy and cool so we came back and warmed up in the hot tub. House was very clean and had a great selection of beach toys to borrow. Terrible mosquitos, but I think thats normal for the area and the amount of rain. Overall we had a nice time and would return. We loved the home. It’s spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is stunning and the rooms are all large and well decorated. Joe is an amazing host and was clear on instructions and is quick to respond. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. We really enjoyed the house and we would definitely stay again on our next trip.

The house is gorgeous and it has the most amazing views. Sunrise from the master bedroom windows was the highlight of each morning. The owners were helpful and very responsive - we had one or two small issues at checkin that they handled immediately. We loved the closet of board games! The area is quiet and there is only one grocery store but it had everything we needed. We didn’t go to any local restaurants. A few things to consider: the listing says 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. This is true but one bedroom and bathroom is in an apartment downstairs so it wouldn’t be good for kids. It is a longer walk than it appears to the beach. It was fine for me and the kids but would’ve been way too far for someone with mobility challenges. The kitchen wasn’t as stocked as I had hoped (no real glass wine glasses, only plastic, not a lot of silverware, short supply of spatulas etc). Finally, there were no amenities for the beach, no buckets or shovels, no beach towels, so pack your own.

House was fantastic and perfect for our long weekend away with friends! Super walkable to the beach and easy access via golf cart or vehicle to nearby local spots. Angie was a great host and super responsive and quick to address any issues with the house.

We took a risk and booked during December knowing well that we would not be able to get in the water due to cooler temps. Despite this, we had a great time! The view was beautiful. The location was private. We were the only ones at the beach during or stay. I would love to come back during the summer. There were a couple of upkeep issues but the host let us know with time and responded quickly as well. Overall it was a good experience and would love to book again.

We had a great stay at Casa Surfside. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Quality appliances and kitchenware that made cooking easy. Plenty of towels and toilet paper. Comfy furniture. Loved all the beach gear and toys for the kids! The location was excellent. Definitely recommend staying here!
