Cottage vacation rentals in Frisia

We had a lovely and quiet time with Heiko & Ina. Everything was as described and we felt very comfortable in the sweet little cottage 😊 The kitchen has everything you need and the cottage is very cozy design overall. Since the weather was unfortunately not quite as good, my grandma and I read a lot but that's exactly what our extended weekend was meant for.

Our recent stay was for 4 nights, but we wished we had booked longer. The property was very clean, very modern and had parking that was safe and easy to find. after the long drive the hot tub was hot and lovely to relax in! We loved that the property was accommodating for animals and we immediately felt at home with the very friendly hosts. we would definitely stay again.

The place is great surrounded by nature and animals. We had a warm and lovely stay. Would recommend staying at Nanda & Peter's place!

What a wonderful weekend we have had! It is a very nice house with lots of privacy and secluded location. The house has a very nice energy and has all the comforts. The adjacent Dokkum is highly recommended to visit. I would recommend this cottage at this place to everyone.

Fantastic place to stay and definitely going to book to go back. The apartment was immaculate and there was a guide to help you understand how to use things. Isra's communication was great and quick at getting back to you. The surroundings were lovely and very peaceful. The shops are 2 minute drive away and with Amsterdam only a 30 minute drive away. Couldn't have been happier. Highly recommend booking .

Judy is a lovely person who cares for her guests. I loved using the hot tub each morning and relaxing in the sunshine in the afrernoon in a peaceful setting. Judy recommended a bike shop and I rented a bicycle for my stay! It was so easy to get around and the area is beautiful! The town of Buren has some nice restaurants and it is a pretty, Dutch village. I truly enjoyed my stay and I highly recommend this place if you need peace, quiet and time in nature....simple pleasure!! Thank you Judy.🙏

We had a great stay in Esther and Marc's cottage. Beautifully furnished with such attention to detail. It had everything you needed for a short break. The view over the water in the sunshine and the sunsets were lovely. Friendly restaurant with good food just at the end of the road. Beach, villages and towns within easy reach. Hot tub in the garden and a canoe and bikes at your disposal and a delicious breakfast brought to your door. Highly recommended 👌

Wonderful place to stay, an idyllic retreat in the middle of a green wonderland.

We stayed here for Christmas and New Year. It is a very cozy cottage. Sparkling clean and equipped with every comfort. Marlies had taken the trouble to decorate the cottage in Christmas atmospheres. There was even a Christmas tree. She also had a delicious Christmas turban at the bakery. We really felt at home. We had some bad luck with the weather but you can walk here with various excursions within walking distance. Maybe not the cheapest place to stay but really worth the money.

Nice cottage in the middle of nature. (woods) House was clean and everything present. Spent a few nice days on the Veluwe, cycled a lot and walked, so had beautiful weather!!! Certainly subject to repetition.

Stephanie and Wim's house is just great! Very spacious, comfortably furnished and super clean. The garden with swing and trampoline was a highlight for our children. But they liked the sweet dog Isa best, who visited us daily and very quickly won the hearts of our children. For us adults, the tranquility there was very good. The beach and activities were a few minutes drive away. Wim and Stephanie were always friendly, helpful, and responsive. We felt at home from the start and would be happy to come back.

Mariska and her family are extremely welcoming and great people. They have a folder in the tiny house that describes everything you’d want to know. Spending time on a farm with all these animals was incredibly calming and peaceful. 10/10 would visit again if in the area!

so from to East Frisia, our first Airbnb experience was great and exactly what I was looking for had a quiet location, mostly accessible, comfortable beds, great opportunities for families with children and what I particularly noticed is a garden that is not East Frisian perfect so that dogs also had fun. I can only recommend the house the furnishings and the equipment is good.

A peaceful jewel to warm up in foggy November - felt right at home, the fire burning, cosy blankets and pillows, a big couch, a gas stove, a toy for the dog and many places to discover nearby. It’s a very special heart warming place and I felt very happy to be there right from the start. Sitting on the couch, the fire cracking, looking outside into the beautiful garden, a tree bowing in the wind right next to the window- all this is just pure bliss.

Very nice place to stay. Quiet location and beautiful view. Frederika was very kind. We will be happy to come back.

If you describe a beautiful English style cottage in a forest, you are probably describing this sweet little cottage de Larix! Everything your heart desires; a crackling fireplace, a lovely bed, a kitchen with all comforts and a beautiful environment! Here you can only wander through the huge forest and enjoy the silence. Prefer some distraction? Quadruple wood is also just the corner! The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

We stayed with Ben for two weeks in connection with our renovation and we enjoyed it! Despite the renovation crowds, it felt like a mini vacation. Our 2.5-year-old son was able to play in the garden and everything was present in the house for a carefree stay. Ben's hospitality was fantastic and we felt at home straight away. Thank you!

Had a very nice stay. Good communication with Richard to enter the cottage (he was still on vacation himself). Very clean cottage with all the comforts. Beautiful large garden with views and lots of tranquility. In the summer it seems wonderful to come back here. A double bed is on the landing and this space cannot be locked. With slightly older children, that is easy to do, but given the bed is on an open staircase, I do not recommend this for very young children. Or you have to sleep under a very sloping wall as parents. Underfloor heating was very pleasant. We had a great time in the area! Thank you Richard!

Had the most peaceful week at Marlou's lovely cottage - 100% would recommend! The cottage is beautifully decorated which gives the place a cosy, serene and calming atmosphere. It's also excellently equipped - with everything you could need to cook each night in the kitchen, high quality teas and coffee, very comfortable bed, a large comfy sofa & tv with netflix etc - plus thoughtful touches like candles. You can do walks in the nearby wood from the door. Marlou was super friendly and communicative. Stayed in lots of air bnbs but this one really stands out in terms of quality and value!

Chantal's cottage has everything you can think of and more. We especially enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen and the fireplace on cold evenings. Communication was easy and questions were answered in no-time. Definetely recommendable :)

We did enjoy this cottage! It is in a beautiful area. Unobstructed views over the meadows, birds chirping everywhere and beautiful hiking and biking trails nearby. The cottage itself is not very spacious, but super furnished with a modern kitchen, comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. The sweet cats that walked around outside the cottage made it all the way.

We had a lovely, quiet weekend at Nordstrand Cottage and were very satisfied. The place is very clean and tidy, we had everything we needed for. It was very cold and stormy outside but in the cottage we were able to make ourselves really comfortable by candlelight and the fireplace. A little unusual was that the restaurants on the island were (almost) all closed and were only open in the high season. We found a very good restaurant (Deichgraf) and can recommend it. In the small local shop, which is minutes away, we also found a lot of groceries.
