Monthly Rentals in Fond Cani

As soon as we arrive we were greeted by the lovely Rosa and a rainbow over our villa. Great place.

I already miss the view when opening the shutters in the kitchen, just like the view you get from the bed You can open a window or the door and have a direct view of the rainforest right from the bed. It’s a beautiful open- house concept. We love nature. Occasionally, a little gecko would wander into the house. But don’t worry, the animals leave you alone. And it’s something truly beautiful. We had no mosquitoes inside! We also had an extra mosquito net. We slept like babies. With the sounds of the rainforest and the rain, it was simply dreamy. We cooked for ourselves and had all the utensils we needed. Pots, pans, plates. The surroundings are also wonderful. From the house, you can easily reach the Trafalgar Falls by car. Sara is very helpful. She is one of the friendliest hosts we’ve ever met. Her dogs are lovely. We fell in love with Titou and he visited us regularly in the garden. It was a good time for us. 2 weeks in this location may appeared for some as a long time, but for us working remotely it was nice. The surrounding is nice in terms of nature and there is a few stops for a beer or some basic snacks. However, if you want to cook a lot, this is a basic kitchen. The garden is quite large and you feel very much in the nature. A nice cat is coming from time to time, you can see a lot of aguti walking around and many lizard !

We had a lovely stay at Niels' place. Niels was quick to respond and provided helpful instructions for accessing the space. I would highly recommend this space and location if you plan to explore some of the wonderful hikes and scenery in Dominica! The house was perfectly situated for our plans (Boiling Lake, canyonining, Middleham Falls, etc.). We really enjoyed coming back to a space that was well-kept, comfortable and open to nature. As other reviews mention, you can hear some road noise and animal sounds (e.g., dogs barking), but that was no issue for us as we usually went to bed early and were up early to explore the sites. This location is also ideal if you plan to do any activities with Extreme Dominica as they are right downstairs, which was a huge perk for us. We also enjoyed being greeted by Loki, the incredibly friendly cat on the property! Thanks for a great stay!
