Lake house vacation rentals in Florida

I’ve stayed at my fair share of AirBnB’s and VRBO’s and Mike is one of the absolute best hosts I’ve ever had. He was very proactive with his communication and was super-accommodating upon our arrival. He gave us a personal tour of the property and ensured our stay was awesome. The views from the property were amazing! Additionally, the property was very well cared for. Will definitely be back!

This was exactly what I was hoping for! A beautiful location in a quiet neighbor. The neighbors were very friendly, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Despite the quiet setting, the home location was very convenient for getting to the store, restaurants and the surrounding towns.

Great little place on the water perfect if you want to spend some time outdoors. We were visiting for a wedding so didn’t get a chance to enjoy it! Bernadette was a great host and lives right next door if you need anything!

Peter was a great host! We really enjoyed our stay, using the boats/kayaks, and enjoying the peace and nature in this private location!

Great place and great host! The pictures shown do not do the place justice! We were shocked when we walked in. Very easy short walk to the beach too. Kids also caught plenty of bass in the pond out back.

Great place to stay! Can’t to town for a concert at the Yuengling center and was about a 20min car ride. Walking distance to the hard rock which was awesome! The house was very clean and the view was great! Michael was vey nice and responsive. Will definitely stay again!

This place was awesome as were the host. The house was very comfortable and super clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. I just can’t say enough about how great our stay was. We are definitely looking forward to visiting again next year.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The outside space especially was lovely and really comfortable. We liked fishing from the dock, playing pool, having fires in the fire pit, and sitting in the sun. We were unable to take the Jon boat out on the lake but we took the kayaks out and had fun fishing off them. We caught bass, cichlids, tilapia and catfish. The inside of the place was clean and comfortable, and we liked the laid-back vibe in the neighborhood.

Amazing waterfront property, great fishing, turtle & bird watching. The hosts Doug & Marcie welcomed us, gave us helpful tips and recommendations. The home is very well stocked & like the pictures. Cute decorating with lots of helpful things to make your trip easy. Kitchen is well supplied & organized. If you want a relaxing peaceful old Florida trip this is the place.

Can't say enough great things about Jonathan and his place! We loved staying there, felt right at home, we were there with 5 kids and there was always something fun for them to do, swimming in the pool and hot tub, s'mores by the fire, pool, air hockey, pacman was a hit, basketball, and lots of games, books and movies to choose from. There was plenty of space to spread out and feel comfortable and Jonathan added so many thoughtful touches to our stay - greeting us with an Apple Pie on the kitchen counter, a bowl of chocolates in the entry way and plenty of coffee. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, there were plenty of towels for showers and swimming, life jackets were supplied. The kids said they wanted to move there : ). Need I say more? haha

If your looking for a place to get away and relax, this is it. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the lake. Thanks Micah!

We had such a wonderful stay this weekend at Zack’s place. The house and location are beautiful. Extremely comfortable beds in all rooms, lots of towels and bedrooms and all the living area beautifully decorated. We used the kayak to go out on the lake which was so fun and got to see the most beautiful sunsets during our stay. The kids loved the bedroom games room so much and the queen bunks are just so fun and HUGE! Most of all Zack was so responsive and helpful with any questions or minor issues we had. Huge thank you and we will be back in the future to stay again.

Huge place, very comfortable, outside space was wonderful. Sitting on the deck listening to the birds was great. Neighbors were very friendly and it was nice to walk around the lake nearly every day. It is exactly as described. This is their camp so it’s not fancy and some of the floors are a bit uneven or saggy. But it was very livable and a nice place to stay. Victoria was very responsive any time we messaged her. Would definitely recommend.

Incredibly peaceful, waterfront house. We were there for work and it was so nice to come back to a relaxing, quiet place to unwind! Definitely recommend this property with lovely hosts as well!

It was a very good experience. If I could make any suggestions, it would be to have more towels available. It was enough for a day or two, but we were there three nights with 4 people and there didn’t seem to be enough. Also, hooks in the bathrooms would have been nice. This is just some picky suggestions. Overall, a wonderful location and very nice house.

we had a great time relaxing at lake talquin! the house is very roomy and has everything you need for a great stay! a couple things to know before you go is the listing says keurig coffee machine. so I bought keurig cups for our trip but then there was not a keurig coffee machine. it was just a regular type. but it was no big deal because Melissa had plenty of coffee available for us at the house. also, the house is off a dirt/rock road which for most people isn't a big deal but my husband is a car guy and hates dirt roads lol. I definitely wish I'd known before hand because we woukd have brought a different vehicle had I known. overall we had the best time and would definitely book again! Melissa communicated well. she even brought us firewood for the fireplace which we were not expecting! so thankyou for your hospitality!

This was a great house with a beautiful view of the sunrise. Our kids really enjoyed their time on the lake fishing, swimming, and canoeing. I do recommend bringing a canopy or umbrella for shade in the backyard. We had brought one thankfully because the Florida sun was nice and hot. The house is right on a main road and the cars fly by. This was my only concern having kids and a small dog but that falls on the adult actively watching. We had an amazing weekend with our kids celebrating our oldest turning 13 and this was the most perfect place to do so.

Was looking for a place to accommodate a group of 6 on a business trip. This place was wonderful! I would definitely book again for my own personal vacation! Cindy is a wonderful host!

The view of the lake is sensational. The home is nicely furnished with antique furniture and everything you need to relax. Large, shaded front yard with plenty of parking.

The home is spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The views to the lake are to die for, and the kitchen is a dream. We barbecued, made s'mores in both fire pits and took the kayaks out on the lake almost every day. We fished from the dock and saw lots of Wildlife. The area is tranquil and private, but close to grocery stores restaurants and shopping. We visited five major natural springs, all were within 40 minutes. We also really enjoyed spending the day in the historic and charming downtown area of Mount Dora, less than 1/2 an hour away. We absolutely loved this home and the area and will be back.
