A perfect bolt hole in idyllic surroundings with a very friendly and welcoming host. The cottage is very comfortable, spotless and there are lovely views from the bedroom. Thé extra touches - fresh eggs, apple juice and flowers, were gratefully received. The amenities were generous and we enjoyed eating our meals in front of the log burner. Perfect in every respect!

It was such a beautiful place , James was a nice and very helpful , i requested for some toiletries and he responded so well and quickly . It was such a lovely and peaceful place , I would just suggest it might be great idea to add toiletries for guests . The rest was amazing . But a great tauba to James for his help , our car wheel stuck near this cabin , which was hardly 10 minutes drive , my husband requested for help and and he came to help us with in minutes . I am so grateful . Everything was 5 star We left a small note of thanks with a box of chocolate for you James . Please 🙏🏽 accept it as a token of thanks for all the help 😊

I was visiting the area of my childhood and in fact The Nook was right next door to my old house. The walks straight onto Selsley Common and the views from the common were everything I remembered. Fabulous. From the sitting room you had a beautiful view of The Severn and beyond. Gillian had provided a well equipped kitchen and lots of little thoughtful touches like somewhere to put the shampoo in the large walk in shower and a mirror for the hairdryer! Smashing place for one. If two the sofa may have been a little too small (but cosy). Just be warned it is a tight turn into the lane leading to the Nook and I am not sure if a large car would manage it. Gillian would be able to advise.

I really enjoyed my stay at Heidi’s place. The annex is very well-presented, with everything you could need for a self-catering stay. There were so many nice touches and thoughtful details to what was provided, such as a bottle of milk and breakfast provisions, along with a lovely selection of teas. Even down to there being an umbrella to borrow. Heidi was very friendly and great at communicating, giving clear instructions on how to find the place and park. I wouldn’t hesitate to book for a stay in Stroud.
