Mansion vacation rentals in East Dubuque

We had a lovely stay at Kapil’s home. We had 4 adult couples for a weekend get-a-away. The home is spacious, with a large great room on the main floor. We cooked most meals in the kitchen and found all the necessary tools, utensils, etc. The views are spectacular. Each bedroom is an en suite, which was really great for privacy. Kapil thought of every detail - coffee, sugar, tea bags were all provided. Shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper was also provided. Washer/dryer in the home as well. Each bedroom also had a nightlight, which was very helpful! The game room is a fun addition. Lastly, communication with Kapil was great. He’s very responsive, polite, detailed and clear. He responded within minutes each time I had a quick question. I would highly recommend staying at this Galena Get-a-Way!

Our friend group couples vacation gave us the perfect opportunity to stay at Dawn’s beautiful home. The property was immaculate and the house was very meticulously designed. It was equipped with everything we needed and more. Our husbands enjoyed ice fishing and the game cottage while us ladies enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing inside by the fire. We found ourselves gathered around the large island playing games every night. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, not to mention Dawn’s extremely quick and helpful responses every time. Kudos, Dawn! 👏🏻

Beautiful home. Showing need of some freshening up on some repairs and painting some furnishings could be replaced like the kitchen table. We booked a last minute trip and perhaps that is why we received a discount but had I paid full price I would not be happy at all. Over all a wonderful stay. Home is beautiful.

This was our second stay-we can’t imagine staying anywhere else! Beautiful property, has everything we would ever need. The owner even texted to warn us of icy weather and let us know that they left us salt to treat the deck outside the front door. A wonderful place to spend a weekend.

Great people. We had a swift check-in and were welcomed by a beautiful space that provides absolute privacy. Could have been better if it was warm so you can enjoy the enormous space around the property. Can be suitable for retreats, intimate wedding venue.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stephen’s house in Galena. My kids had a long weekend so we invited another mom and her son to join us on a 2 night getaway. The house was perfect for two families, so many fun things to do inside the house - which worked out well because one of our days was weather impacted. The hot tub, movie room, popcorn maker and overall spacious layout of the house made staying in a fun day! Also, it’s worth noting that the hot tub was already hot and ready to go when we arrived. This is such a luxury that honestly not many hosts do, and we didn’t even have to ask. Super appreciated! The area is also very lovely to explore. We enjoyed the Chestnut ski hill, a tour of Ulysses S Grant’s home, and dining in the VERY charming downtown. We even ventured to Dubuque for dinner one night. Overall a lovely place to escape to, and Steven was an excellent and friendly host. You can’t go wrong booking this house!

We had an amazing stay at Beth’s place in Galena! The home was beautiful, clean, and cozy — perfect for our group of friends and our pup. We especially loved unwinding in the hot tub, enjoying the fireplace in the evenings, and cooking meals together in the well-stocked kitchen. Beth was a fantastic host, always quick to respond to any questions we had. It truly felt like a home away from home. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, this is the spot. We can’t wait to come back!

We LOVE Jon's beautiful mansion. This is the second time we have stayed and we hope to be back again next year. With three generations of family all together, this really is the perfect place. Easy walk to the wonderful public library (which has fantastic children's area), Textile brewing (great beer and pretzels), Basillica, and the Brew and Brew; and a quick drive to Sundown mountain skiing. The home itself has everything you could possibly need- so much comfortable space to hang out, great kitchen, and large dining room table. We loved the new addition of the bunk beds. One of our favorite Airbnbs.

Enjoyed the extra touches such as the coffee bar, toiletries, and games! Beautiful views and plenty of space for our family of five.

Stayed at Emily’s place with a large group for a weekend ski trip. Emily’s house fit our needs perfectly with good sized rooms, PLENTY of bathrooms, and cozy living room. The surroundings were beautiful- we enjoyed the hot tub on a very cold weekend. Although it’s in the territory it was a quick 10 minute drive to the downtown shopping and 20 minimum to Chestnut. Comfy beds! Thank you so much!

We had an amazing trip at this home. It was stocked with everything you could possibly need, from a high chair to board games and books. There were Amazon Alexa’s and a hatch in the kids room, a lifesaver as we forgot our nightlight. Will be booking again as we felt right at home!

From the second we walked into R lodge we felt right at home. It has all the amenities, the hot tub is amazing. Everything in town is adorable and easy to walk to. We had a wonderful time and will be back soon.

This was our second time staying here and it was wonderful. Always a pleasure, the hosts are great and very responsive. The house is perfect for a getaway in Galena with tons to do, and just minutes from downtown.

The place is very beautiful and cozy, with many areas to share and plenty of blankets available for everyone. The only thing I should mention is that the sauna doesn’t work, and the hot tub takes several hours to heat up. For example, if you plan to use it at night, you’ll need to turn it on a few hours earlier to allow it to warm up. They are a bit stricter than usual with cleanliness and order rules, but it’s worth it because it’s a very nice place to share, offering many options for family and friends to enjoy together, such as board games, ping pong, etc.

Was a nice place, clean and close to a lot of things to do in the area. It was also nice to have the home owner perks, the kids enjoyed the ping pong, bags, and pickleball.

Came back for a 3rd year in a row for a girls weekend and once again an excellent stay. The attention to detail in this home is excellent with kitchen well stocked and labeled, hot tub clean and ready to go, excellent upgrade with downstairs theatre room and very comfortable beds. Would definitely rent again!

This is our second time staying here and have nothing but wonderful things to say. Jess is repsonsive and flexible, and the place was perfect for our friend group's annual winter getaway. There was so much space for us to place board games, watch movies, and hang out together. The area also has lots to do! Highly recommend staying here

We absolutely loved staying here! The view is amazing and it’s very quiet. Cynthia was very responsive and checked in on us during our stay! The house was absolutely beautiful and had so many things to do. We will definitely be back! :)

One of the best airbnb’s i’ve ever stayed at! We had several couples here for a ski weekend trip and the house was clean, had games, plenty of room and had full bathrooms for each room. The surroundings and amenities were also one of the best features of this house! Would definitely stay here again!!!!

I loved being here, this is everything that I imagined in galena, the house was the cherry on top. I want to come back next year withmy friends and family! They loved the house and everything that was included, we wanted to stay one more night but due to work we couldn’t! But next year we will add more days to enjoy the house 10x more 🤍
