Rachel and Dominic have fantastic places to stay at Moonacre, there are a variety of different options in a stunning location. Quirky and fun, these outdoor living spaces are a joy if you are looking for a peaceful retreat in the countryside or an adventure with your family. It’s not unusual to raise your head from your book or laptop to see a herd of deer peering at you from the fields or woods. This time I stayed in Monty the Motorhome, a converted motorhome, a very quiet and relaxing night. I will stay again when I get the opportunity.

Our second family get-together in Anna & Eric’s gorgeous “garden”. The quirky accommodation options are fully equipped with anything you could possibly need and made homely and beautiful by Anna’s tasteful interior decoration. The addition of a “Pavillion” since our last visit made our evenings even better as there was plenty of room for our group of 15 to play games late into the night, after a day of tennis, tug-of-war, trampolining, bbq, chilling in the hot tub nestled in greenery while watching their peacock stroll back and forth…

This is a wonderful and peaceful place. The caravan is spacious and full of games, books and general stuff to keep everyone entertained. Garden is just fabulous and the wildlife flourishes. This is a very child friendly place with lots of space for kids to run around and lots of things to do without having to leave the comfortable space…and you have chickens as your neighbours. Location is ideal for exploring nearby places & attractions and / or you can just walk to Longford which is a stunning place.

Had an amazing long weekend staying in the Gypsy Caravan. It was absolutely beautiful accommodation and with the summer house to enjoy as well we had loads of space to relax. Rachael was really lovely and we were amazed by all the thoughtful little extra touches - the blankets in the summer house for chilling on the decking in the evenings, the marshmallows for toasting over the fire pit. It was a gorgeous setting and so peaceful - perfect as a base for exploring or just relaxing and having a quiet weekend. We would highly recommend to everyone and would love to return. Jill’s Far Out Caravan Site was wild and wonderful. A perfect mixture of adventure and peace. The caravan was homely and well cared for. I recommend the walk to the beach through the most magical woodland. I great find - a few minutes drive from Blackgang Chine. The sea view from the caravan was stunning. What a picture to wake up to. Tranquil and private caravan site. Jill is super friendly and accommodating ✨✨🌸

The big hoot is a perfect place to stay if you're looking to get away. The garden is beautiful and so peaceful. Great to wake up to. My son really enjoyed the play barn. There's so much there to do for children and adults too! The caravan was lovely. Everything was very clean, cosy and comfortable. Everything was easy to find and Nigel and Maria were very welcoming and attentive. We would love to come back one day! We really enjoyed our stay ☺️

A wonderful little haven in a fabulously peaceful valley. Ideal place to get away from it all. Compact and cosy but with everything you need to relax. We had a lovely three nights escape, within really easy drive of Taunton. Great for my three year old as well as myself. I particularly enjoyed sitting out under the stars after little one was in bed. Amelia is a fantastic host and Penny is very welcoming and accommodating too. My daughter loved feeding the ducks, and seeing the goats and chickens. The trampoline was very popular too. We will definitely visit again as we have family in Taunton, and have found our home from home.

It was so much fun! We wanted to escape any New Year’s Eve fireworks, and from inside the trailer we could not see any other homes so it was very secluded. Phone reception and 5G coverage is surprisingly good for the location and toilet cabin is only 2m outside of gated garden. Bridget was kind enough to leave extra duvets and the heater warmed the place up very quickly. I wish I had brought binoculars as we stared at the stars for ages. Bridget’s communication was quick and detailed despite it being a last minute booking.

A great place to stay, molly was beautifully restored and quite unique. Well equipped and although in a garden was completely private. We loved the outdoor lounge and the indoor bbq, both great ideas with their quirky furnishings and trimmings, a great way to add additional space to relax in especially as the weather was a bit cold and wet. The location was perfect and close to many interesting places to visit. Thank you both, lovely hosts.

Our stay at the Nuthatch was beautiful. Everything was as described and Laura was on hand to answer any questions we had. We would definitely stay again!

I booked this as a last minute surprise for my boyfriend, and when we arrived he said it was being in a fairy tale!! Stephen and Amanda came and greeted us and showed us the caravan, which is tucked at the bottom of their garden, it was so peaceful, watching the birds and squirrels. Everything was catered for and enjoyed relaxing by the fire til midnight listening to the owls. And the bed was so snuggley! Slept so well!! Highly recommend if you want a piece of nature and outdoor living with all your creature comforts! Many thanks, definitely will return. 😊

What an amazing stay. A fantastic get away from the hustle and bustle. Throughly enjoyed our stay and the treasure hunt. Will most definitely be booking again, and again and again. Sooooo....relaxing. Even Dilan was a great host. Thank you very much James.

Retro Staycations was an amazing experience. We stayed in the airstream caravan Walt, which had little nods toward Walt Disney around the caravan. Everything was spotless and charming. Outside was well equipped with our own deck chairs, a picnic table, a fire pit and a BBQ. It was so lovely sat out in the sun overlooking fields, cooking our supper and chilling. Once it was dark we had an amazing view of the stars. The whole experience had a relaxed atmosphere and we came away after two nights not wanting to leave. Both Sarah & Alex from Retro Staycations we’re both friendly and very helpful. Thank you. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing place for holidays! My family and I had a great time! The caravan had everything we needed, was beautiful and comfy. Very clean which is something I really appreciate. Richard was very friendly and responsive at all times. I recommend this place 100% :).

I really enjoyed my stay, Chris was a superbe host and a generally lovely person. The caravan was immaculate and the bed was lovely and comfortable. There is a wonderful dog walk straight out the door and because the location is right at the end of a very small road it is so quiet and peaceful. i would definitely stay here again.

Ella’s place is really wild and beautiful!!! We saw a great spotted woodpecker which was an absolute treat! A perfect hideaway and opportunity to get back to nature. It was lovely to have the wood fired bath and the cosy wagon. Hot shower was a bonus too. Great to cook over the stove in the wagon. Ella made us feel really welcome and gifted us fresh apple juice, eggs and pan au chocolat - what a treat! And fresh flowers too. She really went the extra mile. Perfect for those who aren’t afraid to get stuck in and back to basics - get the fire started for the bath wasn’t easy cause the ground was wet and we needed to make tiny kindling but it was soooo worth it! Wellies were definitely necessary as it’s a mossy, springy magical spot that’s very wet. Listening to the babbling stream and staring up at the starry skies was dreamy. Thank you Ella 🙏🏼
