Family-friendly vacation rentals in Dorset

Honestly this is a hidden gem and is definitely hijabi friendly... We had our own private space, including hot tub and outdoor heated swimming pool. Keith sourced produce so that it was accessible, he helped us in getting appropriate taxi services.

We had a wonderful stay with all our family to celebrate a special birthday - we loved the house, all able to eat together around the table was wonderful, enjoying chatting and drinking in the beautiful lounge and the younger ones loved the hot tub and braver ones the swimming pool. Great position for all the lovely New Forest areas and walks

Gill and George made us feel welcome from the start. The property is perfect for the family get together which grew after booking. Gill was extremely accommodating with the changes we made last minute and made our stay at the house really enjoyable. The house was spotless with all the bedrooms set up perfectly and the layout of the property also allows for some quiet time if you have 16 staying! The kids (and adults) had plenty to entertain themselves with from Pool, Table tennis, table football, board games and hot tub. I would highly recommend the house to any family wanting a house to celebrate or holiday together. 3-4 excellent local pubs for great food and a farm shop next door selling the basics and great breakfast sandwiches!

From Start to Finish Paul was the perfect host, could not do enough for us making sure that the log burners were lit every morning for us - hosting he was great fun and even joined in our activities. Paul has a great place here - you just have to realise that there is no kitchen in the main house but that did not bother us as we spent most of the time up in the area by the Hot Tub which had fantastic kitchen, games, karaoke, bar facilities - thank you Paul you made a great weekend even better !

If your looking for a quiet romantic getaway then you've certainly found it! After looking extensively for a little getaway to celebrate our anniversary and within our budget we found that the coach house ticked all the boxes. Only a 20 minute walk to the beach and seaside town which has some lovely places to grab a variety of food. The property itself is easy to find and has everything you need to enjoy a cosy time away. What a wonderful place to stay. The peace I sought was found, the relaxation that was so much needed was there and very much welcomed. Days spent walking in the New Forest were finished with a chilled glass of wine in the hot tub that was tended daily by a really lovely chap. The lodge was spacious, clean and comfortable with the basics of equipment there for your use, which is helpful. The whole experience is one I shall repeat and have already begun to tell others to check it out too

We found the property easily and we were met by Allan the host. We were shown all the amenities and outlay of the property including Hot Tub , with precise and helpful instructions. The beds were extremely comfortable with spotless linen. The property was spotless clean and boasted every amenity you can imagine. It was the perfect property and location for our family Christmas. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous little hut set in beautiful surroundings. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. The wood fired hot tub was a very welcomed extra during a cold February.

This is a delightful attic flat…. Everything immaculately clean and of excellent quality. Mike was the perfect host…totally unobtrusive but very helpful. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay. Jo is such a lovely host, our 5 year old has a wonderful time feeding the chickens and playing with ruby the dog. When we left he said ‘I miss Jo’. Looking forward to our next visit already.

We stayed at Crin's over Xmas whilst visiting relatives nearby and it was exactly what we needed. Communication was great with Crin, she was warm and welcoming. The property was great for a walk around with our 4 year old to burn off some energy.

Richard and Mo were great hosts and provided us with all the information required to meet our expectations. Richard met us on arrival and it was lovely to have the basics for breakfast provided for each morning, which was an added surprise and very welcomed. This facility was perfect for my wife as she has mobility issues, and the Airbnb is all on one level with walk-in shower, so made moving around was made so much easier. We would highly recommend staying here, and will look to rebook for our next visit to Devon.

Great location - 5 minutes from the beach and town centre. The townhouse itself is quirky but functional, and one of the best stocked Airbnbs I've been in for a while. Lots of thoughtful touches like fresh scones, huge coffee selection and bacon and eggs in the fridge. Would definitely recommend for couples, small families and dog owners!

Spacious property in a lovely location. Very peaceful and quiet even though a residential area. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed walking along the promenade into Portsmouth. Parking was never a problem. Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely time staying at the cottage. The cottage was a great base for our exploring round the Isle of Wight. I can imagine the decking area is lovely in the summertime. Lots of space out the back for our dog to run around outside. The rooms were good size and clean and the kitchen well stocked with utensils and cooking items. Gail was very helpful and responsive and we are very grateful!

We had a wonderful stay. The Lodge is beautiful and has everything that we needed as a family of four. The Lodge was clean and inviting and Gary is an excellent host. Gorgeous views, loads of space for the kids to play and a brilliant hot tub too. Thank you!

We had an incredible stay. Ann really made us feel at home, and the house is amazing. Lots of space for a group of 7 adults and 1 toddler. The hot tub and pool really made our weekend extra special.

We loved our stay at the Party Barn. Katie was incredibly helpful with local recommendations and letting us use her lovely warm pool (set hours in the late afternoon, but she also gave us lots of flexibility during the day around her swimming lessons). Our kids loved visiting the pigs and sheep. The barn was very comfortable and we felt right at home there immediately. I'm sure we will be back. Thank you Katie!

My wife and I had the most relaxing time at the "Condo" it was a great location to explore, the property was just perfect for the two of us and had everything we wanted for the weekend. It was clean and tidy with a wonderful log burner which was wonderful to sit in front of and listen to the wind and the rain on an evening. Jacqui was very responsive and helpful. The black dog just down the hill was welcoming and does the best Sunday lunch. A great find!!

This is our second time staying in this lovely caravan. It’s always pristine and lovely. I always felt like a home away from home there. The bedrooms are a good size and the extra full bathroom is a definite plus! I’d highly recommend staying here.

Just had a wonderful 2 night stay with our 3 young children. It was a cosy and homely base for our exploring, and we thought the added extras of tea/coffee/biscuits were lovely. We hope to return in future :) thank you!

We had a fabulous stay at Lois’ for a weekend friends reunion. Lois and Paul were welcoming and took the time to talk us through local information. The house had more sleeping areas than we’d realised, which was great. We used the pool and were delighted to find Lois had left us an array of treats in the kitchen. Thank you for having us, I am sure we’ll be back to this fab location.

Had a lovely stay with family. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the property and surrounds. The living area was inviting and convivial with a cosy log fire. The host was very friendly, helpful and responsive, going out of her way to accommodate and make our stay memorable. Definitely recommend.

Superb little place to stay, very cosy, was lovely to find the heating on ready so all toasty when we arrived on November chilly evening after a long drive down. Nice little welcome basket and Milk in the Fridge too ! Great seating area to chill out and watch TV or have a Nap. We had a great few days just walking Berry Head and surrounding areas and some nice Food in Brixham by The harbour. Have added it to our Favourites list for potential return trip as it seems to let late in the year when we prefer to take short breaks. Defiantly would recommend to anyone asking.
