Vacation rentals with a hot tub in County Durham

Paula’s place was beautiful. Perfect for a group of friends with small children - the kids loved the sheep at the bottom of the garden and playing on the climbing frame. The hot tub was great for us adults in the evening The house is very well equipped with anything you need to cook for 10 people and plenty of glasses etc and plastic ones for outside Paula was really helpful and gave really clear instructions for everything we needed. The beds are super comfy and the bathrooms beautiful! Thanks so much we will definitely be back!

We had a fantastic stay at The Shed! It was much bigger than we expected, providing plenty of space for our family and dogs to relax comfortably. The place was spotless and came fully equipped with all the essentials, making it feel like a home away from home. The outdoor area was a highlight — perfect for letting the kids and dogs run around, and it really added to the overall experience. Highly recommend for families or pet owners looking for a clean, spacious, and well-prepared rental. We’ll definitely consider returning!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was lovely, especially the kitchen/diner and bathroom. The hot tub spa was a real highlight and something the whole family enjoyed. Location was ideal with plenty to do and close to shops and places to eat. Lee as a host was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for him. He had good communication and responded quickly to messages.

Had a couple of lovely relaxing days, really impressed with Maple Cottage, great peaceful surroundings, cottage is like a home from home, warm, clean and comfortable, everything provided, wanted for nothing. great hosts, definitely recommend. Bonus for us was the cloud free evening, with no light pollution, the view of the stars was amaxing. Jeff & Margaret

A beautiful little find. Such a lovely and welcoming space, so cosy and warm perfect for a weekend away. A good base to explore Durham and the surrounding areas, lots of walks to do and things to see nearby. Responsive hosts and had clear instructions of how to get into the cottage. Parking was easy and was easy to fine. Overall a fantastic stay and we would love to return!

We have just come back from spending Christmas at Heather cottage in Frosterly.The house and location was beautiful, had the best time with the family and dogs.l would highly recommend for family and Friends get togethers.

Blue Heron Lodge was beautiful. The facilities were great and festive decorations were a lovely touch. The location is beautiful very peaceful and great views of the castle, plus it was a short walk into the village/town. Hot tub was also great. Highly recommend staying if you want a lively relaxing stay 🥰

I travelled with my two sons and one of their friends all various ages from 13 up to 18. The lodge had everything we needed for our night away. There are a great choice of amenities which we all made use of. We had the pool and the games room to ourselves, whilst the older lads enjoyed using the gym. It was very blustery so it was nice to sit and soak in the hot tub. The area is so peaceful and the view is amazing. The hosts are really responsive. They have thought of everything including snacks, a great choice of towels, robes and slippers. We made use of the fire Pitt which was wonderful for a cold February evening. We can’t wait to come and relax here again soon.

Great weekend away for Valentine’s Day, close to Durham for a day out and very relaxing to come back and spend time in the hot tub, overall a great experience :)

What a beautiful place , Angus met us there and was so welcoming , accommodating and overall lovely ! Close to shops and 10 minutes from the centre of Durham , thank you so so much ! Can't thank them enough

What can I say about staying in Ash lodge?! Our hosts Allison and Jonathan were wonderful. Provided us with all the information we would need and were quick to respond when we needed them! Friendly, welcoming and all round lovely hosts! To top it off, as we left, Jonathan helped us get our car out of the snow and gave us a tow up to the car park - not all hero’s wear capes! We practically lived in the hot tub in the evenings. The instructions in the handbook are easy to follow. The tub was fun to get going and even more fun to enjoy! Now how about that cheese? It was phenomenal! I recommend getting the cheese board add on when you come. Also the breakfast pack is amazing! The lodge was clean, tidy, uncluttered, and had the most wonderful warm homely feel. The amenities were everything we needed for the weekend. Highlight of our stay would have to be the moment my partner proposed to me IN the hot tub! It has been the most MAGICAL experience. We even got to see shooting stars!

we came here and stayed for one night , we had a lovely stay was easily accessible and check in was so straight forward. it was lovely and clean on arrival even though we arrived an hour early we checked in with no bother. it was so peaceful and out of the way you had plenty of privacy we would highly recommend here for a break away to truly relax and turn off.

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying here in a lodge named The Lookout. Finding the location was simple, thanks to the clear instructions provided. The lodge was very modern with lots of natural light, thanks to the huge windows that offered stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Very well equipped with all essentials. The hot tub was private and the temperature was just right. Emily and Callum were exceptional hosts, going above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Can’t wait to return. Wholeheartedly recommend.

Me and my partner had a wonderful stay at Pete’s cabin. It was lovely and peaceful. The hot tub was amazing. Pete was always on hand to help re heat the hot tub. The fresh eggs from the hens were a great addition and were very tasty! Overall it was an amazing stay and would highly recommend Pete’s cabin to anyone wanting a lovely peaceful get away!
