Cabin vacation rentals in County Durham

The perfect little getaway. House was immaculate, beautifully decorated to a very high standard. Everything you need and more. The ONLY thing i would add is some extra directions how to find the place as the main road was dark and busy and the postcode only took us to the road. Beautiful cosy home. Very up to date with technology which made it feel really luxurious. Thankyou for a beautiful night!

Couldn’t have asked for better!! The location was perfect/very peaceful, the lodges were immaculately clean and modern, the staff were so friendly and helpful both in person and via message! The just relax area was a massive bonus as well, I had a facial from Jill and she was so knowledgeable whilst also so friendly and chatty ☺️ I can’t wait to see the place with the sauna upgrade etc, will definitely be back - thank you guys!

What can I say about staying in Ash lodge?! Our hosts Allison and Jonathan were wonderful. Provided us with all the information we would need and were quick to respond when we needed them! Friendly, welcoming and all round lovely hosts! To top it off, as we left, Jonathan helped us get our car out of the snow and gave us a tow up to the car park - not all hero’s wear capes! We practically lived in the hot tub in the evenings. The instructions in the handbook are easy to follow. The tub was fun to get going and even more fun to enjoy! Now how about that cheese? It was phenomenal! I recommend getting the cheese board add on when you come. Also the breakfast pack is amazing! The lodge was clean, tidy, uncluttered, and had the most wonderful warm homely feel. The amenities were everything we needed for the weekend. Highlight of our stay would have to be the moment my partner proposed to me IN the hot tub! It has been the most MAGICAL experience. We even got to see shooting stars!

Beautiful lodge and the perfect getaway! So peaceful and quiet. The lodge is perfectly clean and so cosy and warm! The hot tub was very easy to use and the perfect temperature to relax in. Gillian and Ray were the most perfect hosts and insanely helpful with clear demonstrations and instructions for use of the hot tub as well as helping us to clear our car from the heavy snow on our check out day! The most amazing place and we will definitely be returning:)

we came here and stayed for one night , we had a lovely stay was easily accessible and check in was so straight forward. it was lovely and clean on arrival even though we arrived an hour early we checked in with no bother. it was so peaceful and out of the way you had plenty of privacy we would highly recommend here for a break away to truly relax and turn off.

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying here in a lodge named The Lookout. Finding the location was simple, thanks to the clear instructions provided. The lodge was very modern with lots of natural light, thanks to the huge windows that offered stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Very well equipped with all essentials. The hot tub was private and the temperature was just right. Emily and Callum were exceptional hosts, going above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Can’t wait to return. Wholeheartedly recommend.

Great place to stay, exactly like the photos. Quiet location with bar/restaurant on site, wild rabbits running aroud the lodges was lovely to watch. Comfortable beds and furniture. Would definitely recommend.

Really nice stay, everything was warm and prepared for us when we arrived, the host sorted our booking issue well (my error) the location is beautiful and peaceful. We woke up to see horses in the sunrise. amazing. We're already planning to come back in the summer.

I stayed a Peter's place for two nights. it's very close to the university. My stay was very comfortable and Peter is a great host. He is very respectful, welcoming and it's like being in a home from home. I managed to park on the road outside his place. I would recommend staying here. Great host, great location and very comfortable.

The cabins are so unique and wonderful. There was 4 of us and we had a fantastic time. All info provided was extremely useful and Alasdair was very accommodating. Thank you so much Alasdair for having us, you were a wonderful host and we hope to come back again in the summer!! :)

We had a great couple of nights at the lodge. Carole was very friendly and helpful, super host status fully deserved. The lodge was easy to find, cosy and very clean. Everything you could need for a short break was provided. The surrounding area around the lodge was very quiet and peaceful. Hamsterley Forest visitor centre was so close, it hardly warrants driving round to it. If you enjoy wooden walks there are plenty just a short drive away. Overall we has a lovely quiet break and enjoyed our time around the lodge. Happily go back. Thanks Carole.

A flying visit but I'd recommend the location, particularly for us city folks that need digital detox and quiet night's sleep.
