David’s place was ideal to use as a base while visiting our son for our granddaughter’s birthday. Our son only lives a three minute drive away .

Carlene was a great host and made our weekend away simple and stress free, will definitely be coming again when we are back in the area!

Lovely stay, we were only there a night but it was super quiet, bed was super comfy and it was a lot bigger than it seems in the photo! We will definitely be staying again!

Gorgeous little cottage on a working farm, felt very welcome and the cottage was very cosy. We loved the log burner and the dark skies were amazing. You need to take everything with you, tea/ coffee, condiments, soap and washing up liquid etc as none of that is provided. Great locations for days out to Beamish and for cycling and walking, we did the Derwent Valley industrial trail which was interesting. All in all, a great place to stay, friendly and helpful hosts and a lovely area to explore.
