Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Connecticut River

My husband, dog, and I stayed at Melanie's place for 6 weeks while we were waiting to close on our new home. The house was incredible, very clean, and fully stocked with anything that you could need during your stay. The property was quiet and wonderful for our dog to enjoy her outside time. Melanie was very communicative during our stay - she had her cleaning crew come twice and was on top of any necessary snow removal while we were there. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be to stay there in the nicer months of the year! The location was fantastic as well, close to the main road but not too close that the noise of the cars would be bothersome. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at Melanie's place if they are coming to the area. Truly a home away from home!

Yellow Door House was a fantastic stay, paired with an even more incredible host. The house itself was well-furnished and clean, with plenty of extra house supplies for us to use. Kathleen was also impeccable as a host, going above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience; one of our party left behind a water bottle, and she was so accommodating as to ship it back to us. I could not recommend this place more!

The house worked out great for a girls’ weekend. Walk to the beach, hot tub and short drive for shopping and dining. House had everything we needed.

The house was great, clean, safe, and we all thought it was bigger and even more charming than expected from the photos. Big farmhouse style kitchen, back porch and 3 season porch, fireplace. Really great, Dan and Peggy communicate easily by text

We had a wonderful girl's trip staying in Diana's house! We walked to the beach and to Scratch bakery (twice). The house was perfect for the five of us with a great sitting area to hang out and chat. The house was clean and the instructions for cleaning up were easy to follow.

Joe was great. Very responsive and accommodating. Everything was as promised. Would stay again!

This space was amazing for a big family! Check in and check out process were both super simple and straightforward, the house was very clean, and the host was really nice. Overall just a great place to unwind with the family.

Such a cozy home! This moody Pond home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay during winter carnival. We walked into the village numerous times and were always happy to return to the cozy home at the end of the day!

LOVED LOVED! My friends and I all agreed that this house looks just like the pictures for once! Very nice unexpected touches/surprises. House had everything you could really need! I believe the host could get away with charging more in my opinion! I hope to come back in the future.

It was so nice to return to this place during a visit with my family in Connecticut. As always, it was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen each night.

Stayed here for 2 nights with a couple friends. Perfect spot for a quick getaway. Backyard and pool area was exactly what we were looking for with lots of space to lounge and relax. Lots of entertainment if you wanted to just hang inside as well. As some of the other reviewers noted, you can definitely hear the hosts move around upstairs. Didn't impact us too much except for Saturday morning. Was a little difficult to sleep in b/c of the noise.

Nice little getaway during the cold season. The hot tub was excellent and about 100 degrees so perfect even with the cold temperature. It was still possible to put together a meal with the propane grill and warm things up in the microwave or store them away in the fridge. The heat was excellent in the space. Seems like it would be a great place to stay in the summer as well!

Great get away! Amazing views of the mountains!! Clean, comfortable bed, cozy fireplace, hot tub, surround sound speakers, fully stocked kitchen, private location and much more made this a great relaxing trip. Plenty of hiking trails in the area. Close to the quaint town of Woodstock for restaurants, stores, etc… Susanna was very helpful and easy to communicate with.

My friends and I had a great time at Stephen’s place. Stephen responded to any inquiries we had almost instantaneously and plowed the driveway for us in the morning when it snowed. The house was very cozy but it did get a bit cold in some of the rooms at night even with the thermostat increased but the weather outside was also unnaturally cold in the days we stayed so it wasn’t that huge of an issue. We also had a bit of an issue with ants in one of the rooms but getting rid of them wasn’t that hard. Otherwise, we had a fantastic stay and would love to come back in the summer to get use out of the pool and beautiful backyard!!

Ron was great to work with. Very responsive! He emailed details ahead of time that were on point. The cabin was just as promised and did not disappoint. We were extremely happy! The kitchen was fully stocked if you like to cook basically just bring your own food. Beautiful home that is well maintained!

House was very clean and comfortable. Loved the decor and bed was super comfortable and cosy. Everything was there in the house- kitchen, bathroom, hot water. Well styled decor. Spotless. Felt very private and peaceful. Location was not as picturesque as I prefer, but fairly close to sight seeing.

We would definitely recommend Deb’s and Sharon’s cottage as a place to stay. The location is great, as it is within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and the water, but is tucked away in a quiet little neighborhood so it still also offers plenty of privacy. They were wonderful and responsive hosts and checked on us throughout our stay, though we didn’t end up needing a thing. They were gracious enough to allow our dog Bella join for the weekend too, which we appreciated very much as she goes everywhere with us. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely look to book again if we make our way back to the beautiful island!

This place is so much better than the pictures even show! It’s private, but also about a 5 minute drive from the little downtown. The neighborhood the house is in is gorgeous, the house itself is absolutely perfect for a couple’s getaway. The hot tub was so nice, especially with the snow Vermont has now! The host was also so kind and responsive. Plus, our dog loved the big private yard! We can’t wait to plan a trip to stay at the cabin again. Would highly recommend!

Such a lovely time and Chris & Cynthia’s! Cynthia was so communicative leading up to our stay and kindly greeted us upon arrival for a quick walkthrough of the property. They were so accommodating and easy going with check in times and were so pet friendly! Loved staying here!

My wife and I stayed at the Karma cabin with our two dogs while on a ski trip. This was my favorite air bnb I've ever stayed in! It is a really cool house, and you are supporting a good cause by staying there. It's extremely dog-friendly as well.

we have stayed at Kathy's place a few times now and it is always top-notch. we love the area cleanliness and the great communication. can't wait till our next long weekend get away

The cottage is cozy and comfortable, including the beds. It's in a quiet neighborhood yet very accessible to hiking trails, beaches, restaurants, and shops. Fiona was extremely friendly and helpful. She is definitely a Super Host! We would happy have stayed longer if we could have! For those who like to ride your bike: Rt. 127, the main road that goes around Cape Ann, is very narrow and has no shoulder, so I don't recommend planning to bike there.

Tara was a great host, which any questions she got back to us with the answers almost immediately. The home was just as beautiful as the view and was a quick distance to the center of town. Fantastic place to gather with family for a cozy weekend in the woods. Most definitely will be staying with her listing again in the future!

We had a great stay! The space was clean and cozy and the perfect size for our small family. We loved being able to bring our pups along as well. Bonus points for there being no TV, the great record collection and for the board games. The home is close to some great hiking spots and we checked out several recommendations from the host that didn’t disappoint. Would definitely stay here again!
