Amazing place! So beautiful and peaceful. The cottage was as described. Check in/out was seamless, and Lindsey communicated everything we needed to know well beforehand. We felt very supported during our stay. The cottage is well-equipped, though be advised to pick up firewood if you want to use the fireplace. The bedding and furnishings were all clean and well maintained. The WiFi is quite slow, so if staying connected or using online streaming/entertainment is important to you, that is something to be aware of. The driveway up to the cottage is steep and bumpy in places, so pick your travel vehicle wisely - especially if you are in a rental! All in all, it's an absolutely incredible place to stay and the view is beyond what you even described! Absolutely breathtaking - you truly feel like you are up in the heavens 😊 We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend a stay at Highbourne Cottages.

A very peaceful farm stay, perfect for an overnight stop

Tugela river lodge is the perfect blend of nature and comfort. Highly recommend for anyone looking to disconnect and recharge!

Cecilia and her family (especially Hendrik:)) are the best hosts you can imagine. She is always available and she is very keen that you feel comfortable and have a wonderful time on her farm. The farm is a little off the beaten track, is wonderfully quiet (with lots of flowers) and is located right on a river where you can swim. On the farm there are dogs, cats, pigs, horses, chickens, geese and cows. Perfect for kids is that there is a trampoline and lots of toys. The Drakens Mountains are also just 45 minutes away and perfect for a hike. Hendrik gives a great tour of the farm and is otherwise always there for a nice conversation. You come as a guest, you leave as a friend. Thank you so much for the great time! If there were 6 stars, we would give 6 stars.
