Home, Land and Sea Adventure

Anji has a beautiful home that she shares with guests. I had a room with a view, private bathroom and use of shared spaces (kitchen, lounge). The view of the bay is beautiful. This location is on the outskirts of Christchurch but if you have a car it is easy to get around.

Beach Tranquility in Tikao Bay

What a beautiful spot. It was larger than we expected which was nice. The night sky from the deck is gorgeous if it’s clear from clouds. Bathrooms and bedrooms were great. Would recommend!

Our stay with Michael and Jackie was more than we could have asked for. Beyond being a great value in a beautiful cozy location, they went above and beyond in every way possible and contributed to our mums dream vacation to NZ. Their hospitality is next to none. I really feel like we have walked away with new friends. Description is accurate. We love Cass bay! You are close to the city (on the bus line) yet immersed in nature. We love walking the trails Each morning and enjoyed going to the Lyttelton Saturday market. This is a gem of a stay, you will not be disappointed and the genuine kindness and love Michael And Jackie put into their home is comforting and refreshing. Beds were very comfortable and our mum loved the heated blankets. Thank you both for a wonderful stay, we hope to come back!

Papakowhai Bach

IanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Comfortable bach surrounded by native bush: We (two adults and a doggo) stayed for two nights and had a great time! The kayaks were a highlight, even though we didn't expect having to transport them by car. The listing speaks of a private beach access, but we were unable to find it. The property is high up on a hill so it would likely have been too far to carry the kayaks. The bach is surprisingly spacious and was perfect for two. I think 4 would be comfy too, as long as you're happy sharing a small bathroom. The kitchen offered everything we needed. The portable induction hot plate was a game changer! Generally speaking, the place was more on the dusty side, with lots of cobwebs on the windows on the outside. The deck was great for stargazing and the bird sounds in the morning were beautiful! Liz has also added blinds to the bedroom. Our original party size was 5, and $600 was a good deal. In the end our friends couldn't come, but the price didn't change. Slightly disapponting
