Farmstay vacation rentals in Canada

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights in April for our 4 year anniversary. We found the location extremely beautiful and the cob house is unique in its design and decoration; we had a lot of fun staying here. We had the opportunity to feed the hosts’ sheep which was a highlight for us, as well as watching their dog Angus keep an eye on the sheep! The place is very private both from the hosts’ space as well as other neighbours. The location is close to the grocery store and beautiful beaches (though everything on Mayne is close to each other). The cob house is definitely rustic and you will likely encounter some spider or ant friends, whether that be inside the house or while venturing outside to the toilet or shower. Be prepared for insanely yummy fresh bread and jam upon arrival! Overall, we found our stay here to be extremely relaxing, and a nice disconnect from the busy atmosphere of the city.

Lara’s Farmhouse was beautiful, and in a lovely location. Close to all the amenities we desired, but quiet and peaceful. We felt very comfortable and had a wonderful time.

Stayed here for a short vacation with our family of four and a couple dogs, we loved it! Colleen was a kind and wonderful host. Beautiful property with a lots of friendly animals. We'd definitely love to come back and highly recommend it to others!

Would highly recommend! A very spacious spot with lots of activities and lovely surroundings. The place is very cozy with the wood burning stove and plethora of candles. Annette was very pleasant, responsive and accommodating! We had a great time playing with her dogs in the snow. We will be back!

Our family of five had a wonderful stay. Very clean and comfortable old stone farmhouse but with modern finishing and amenities. My kids particularly loved the hot tub and we had fun tootling around the local town. Only minutes away from Picton and Bloomfield among others so very convenient location.

The hosts were kind and communicative (despite my anxious dog not making a great first impression!). The hosts provided a fenced in 'back yard' area at the entrance to the suite, which made for many sunny hours lounging in the sun after a walk to the river at the back of the property. The interior of the suite is quite basic and not the most private (I believe their office is on the other side of the door in the living room area and not sound-proofed), and you must be sure to keep your food secured as there are a lot of ants in the suite/kitchen - but what the suite itself lacks is made up for by the sprawling green expanse of the farm and surrounding wildlife. The alpacas were curious and friendly, and my dog enjoyed watching the neighbour's geese down the road. Overall I think my dog enjoyed the property even more than the beaches we visited while in town. Thanks again for the stay! I would visit again just to sit at the river and bask in the forest.

This was such a wonderful little oasis! We stayed here for our wedding night and it was perfect. Nice and rustic and peaceful on top of that! Scott and Lisa were very good at responding to messages I had and very flexible with check in which is great!

Again, we had a wonderful stay at Sheila’s Place! It was the perfect setting for a family holiday get-together!

Stayed for a weekend while doing some work locally. Easy check-in process. Place was as advertised. Very clean & cute. Kitchen is very well-equipped with all necessary utensils/items. Would for sure stay here again!!

We are a family of 4 with 2 kids 3 and under and a dog. We had a great stay! The place is as described and more. Very well stocked with all the essentials for kitchen and otherwise. Lots of space. Clean. Heating and cooling. Thoughtfully decorated. Lots of yard space. Beautiful view of the local mountains. Scott gave us a tour of their farm and our little guy fed the ducks - fun! Right next to Little Qualicum Cheeseworks - fresh dairy awaits. Location is good - farm setting but close to town. Overall great value and would stay again!

Let It Bee Farm Stay is a tiny house with a big heart. Nicole is a great host. Her communications were always prompt and, during our stay, most respectful of our space. Highlights of our stay:- their two big white friendly and well trained dogs who were excellent welcoming ambassadors; all the chickens and ducks; the enjoying an evening wine on the deck watching the river flow by; a shower with a view; the serenity. Thank you for a delightful stay.

All is perfect, the short stay for one night is unforgettable. Rebecca is extremely nice and always willing to help. Every detail can tell the big effort they made to make everyone feel like home here. Will definitely rebook for a longer stay.

Barnyard BnB is truly something special and easily the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. The place is tastefully decorated and had anything you could ever need, including farm fresh eggs! This was the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. I could not recommend it more. Kelli was so helpful and accommodating and the Airbnb was spotless when we arrived. The property is beautiful with goats, a hot tub, a pond, and tons of nature. We had wonderful mornings sitting on the deck drinking coffee and walking around the property and the road. It was relaxing and wonderful and if you are looking for somewhere to stay, this is it!

The house was exceptionally well-built with outstanding insulation. Even on a blustery, chilly day, the interior was incredibly quiet and cozy. The living room featured three spacious, high-quality couches that were not only comfortable for relaxing but also served as great sleeping spots for some of our guests. Everything about the stay made us feel right at home, and we’re already looking forward to returning. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Jodi’s farmhouse and the property are stunning. So well kept, definitely hoping to come back one day and enjoy the lavender fields in the summer! The house was spectacular, something out of a magazine

Staying at Kim’s cabin was an excellent experience! Accommodations were spotless, peaceful and had everything we could possibly need. The surrounding area is breathtaking with adventure right at our doorstep. I highly recommend living your best life at Kim’s Cabin!

Great weekend in the valley and this place was perfect for our needs.

We had an amazing stay on the horse farm with our two young kids (3 years and 9 months). The animals and the people were so friendly — it was truly a highlight of our BC vacation. Our kids were constantly entertained, and it felt like such an adventure for the whole family. The property is also perfectly located right on the Galloping Goose Trail, which was fantastic for walking and cycling, and took us to many beautiful outdoor spots. We couldn't recommend this place more — it absolutely did not disappoint!

Had a great girls' trip here over the weekend! The space was private and spacious, with a remote farm feel while still being close to town. Equipped with games and DVDs that made the rainy days more entertaining and cozy. The hosts were very responsive and gave us a tour of the farm!

We've been to Monica's farm house many times now and it never disappoints. The location is stunning and so peaceful. We always feel so welcome and right at home. Monica is so thoughtful with extra little touches that make the stay magical every time. We'll be back again and again - we love it!

Really loved our Easter weekend staying in this charming cabin, with beautiful, thoughtful design and the most adorable quail and chicken neighbours. Yvonne and Morris were so lovely to chat with, and we really enjoyed their background on the property and fantastic recommendations for local wineries and restaurants. The complimentary sourdough, eggs and bottle of wine were such welcome treats🙏! And the Similkameen Valley - wow. The surrounding landscape was enchanting, with the sagebrush and bunchgrass hills glowing in the ever-shifting light. Really enchanting spot, we hope to return soon :)

Very comfortable accomodations. Port Alberni is a great town with lots to see and do close by. Host was easy to communicate with and very kind. Peaceful stay. Wish we had more time to try the golf course.

Extremely beautiful, peaceful and spacious! House is comfortable, spotless and has enough spaces to relax and lounge around!! The views are amazing and the big windows allow lots of sunshine in. Kitchen is fully equipped to make meals and it was spotless! More than enough clean bedding and towels were available. Cleon and Christine have thought of every little amenity and provided for it. Everything was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The highlight is and always will be the variety of animals Cleon has and takes care of. His love for them is evident and he has thoughtfully provided them with warming sheds when it gets too cold. All the animals looked very well taken care of and content.. we enjoyed feeding the lemurs, marmosets, kangaroos, sheep, various birds, Guinea pigs.. and quite a few I am definitely missing 😊 Cleon set up a fire for us and it was very enjoyable and peaceful.. the ponds are so so beautiful and the sound of the waterfall is relaxing. We will be back!
