Vacation rentals with lake access in Bega Valley Shire Council

We had a great stay at Wapengo Lake, Ann's house was lovely and it felt like we were staying at a friend's holiday home rather than someones investment, it was furnished and equipped in a similar fashion as if it had been our own. One of the best AirBnb's we have ever had! The kids loved all the books and games which was a bonus. There was a huge amount of local information and maps at the house which was most useful. The only negative I can say is there is no cooling just one ceiling fan in the lounge, we had one hot night and nobody got a great sleep that night, ceiling fans in the bedrooms or even just some pedestal fans to use would have made a big difference. Also note you may not have good reception there so make sure you screenshot the lock code details etc before arrival! I didn't and had to hop back in the car and drive back to find good enough reception.

Beautiful place & great views, walking distance to the beach & very relaxing after working all day. House was clean & beds comfortable, would recommend for anyone looking for a getaway to relax & unwind.

Lovely location right near the boardwalk. Nice views of the bushland and water from the house. the pool was fantastic! The house is well stocked with kitchen utensils and supplies. Kelly super responsive and friendly when we needed to reach out to her. The only feedback would be that WiFi would have been great!! Thanks for a great stay

We had a wonderful stay in Sirocco on Main. The house was super clean, with comfortable beds and great amenities, and is perfectly set-up to spend time with friends as there was a bedroom, separate small lounge and kitchen downstairs. It Is an easy and pleasant walk to town, with Woolworths and Aldi both conveniently located in the Main Street. We would definitely stay here again.

Kerri's house is a beautiful house with fantastic views. Very clean, amazing balcony, and close to town. We spent 4 nights here and it suited us perfectly. For two of our days there was rain, and watching the storms roll across Merimbula provided entertainment when we couldn't head out to explore. The neighbours feed the local birds so it was entertaining to watch the antics of the lorikeets (very persistent) and cockatoos (used their size) as they jostled for the food. There's a great beach called Bar Beach not far from the house (walkable) that's really calm, protected from surf and crystal clear - perfect for swimming. Head to Green Cape for the evening if you want to see wombats grazing in the wild. Highly recommend!

Spent the Australia Day weekend at Rhonda’s place in wallaga lake. Great location with beautiful surroundings! Ample parking and a short 5-10 min drive to Bermagui. Kids loved the access to the lake!! Highly recommend

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The listing is perfect fit for a family vacation to the Sapphire Coast. The house is comfortable, thoughtfully furnished, and has all the amenities we could ask for. It was impeccably clean. The host was communicative and extremely thoughtful in sharing tips for the local area. We couldn't have asked for more for our stay in Merimbula and would stay here again without hesitation.

We had a fantastic stay at Jason’s place!!! Spotlessly clean and tidy, beautiful furnishings, very welcoming. Jason was very easy to liaise with. The unit is well placed within walking distance of the town and beaches! The pools and other amenities on site were well looked after.

Lee is a wonderful host and her place is cozy and quiet. The location is excellent, with beaches and restaurants in easy walking distance. I was slightly concerned that it is in a complex but this was not a problem at all. The place was quiet and peaceful and we had a great time. You have your own private garage with an automatic door, your own small backyard to chillax - like being in a home. Lee gave many great local recommendations and was very responsive throughout. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Accommodation could not fault, quiet are on the edge of town but still only a short walk into the town. Would highly recommend.

Everything was easy from our initial enquiry through to checkout. All Communications were answered very promptly & very politely. The apartment lived up to all of our expectations. It was beautifully clean & comfortable with everything we needed in the kitchen & laundry. The bed was extremely comfortable. The best thing was waking up to the view over the estuary each morning or sitting on the deck with a drink in the afternoon with the cool sea breeze drifting over us. The town & beach are a very easy walk away as is the local boardwalk, which is well worth doing. Try the cafe at the end of the boardwalk. Thanks Ree, it was a great holiday.

The self contained apartment has all the comforts and conveniences you would find at home. From all the utensils in the kitchen to washing machine and air conditioning you have everything you need. The view from apartment is beautiful, overlooking a well maintained garden with Lake views. An easy walk to shops and restaurants, or a stones throw to Cranky Cafe and nearby beach. We would highly recommend this apartment and look forward to returning in the near future.

Excellent apartment at the back of a complex so nice and private. 2 storey place with living area upstairs. Great location. In walking distance to cafe, fish and chop shop, beach, park, and river. Short drive to local towns and beaches.

A home away from home! We didn’t want to leave. Christine’s place is located in picturesque surrounds where nature abounds. A stones throw from lovely Tathra and gorgeous Bournda National Park. A great base to explore the Sapphire Coast. The cottage has everything you need. Light-filled and homely with views of the family’s beautiful and expansive property complete with private gardens and tennis court! Our Labrador Maggie loved her stay too- plenty of space for her to roam freely and securely outdoors. We’ll be back for sure. Christine is a marvellous host. We loved the bowl of fresh organic veges from her garden and the personal touches that make a place feel welcoming and easy to relax in and enjoy. The pictures online don’t do the property justice. Our expectations were exceeded upon arrival. My husband’s words, “this is paradise”. If you’re after a lovely place to escape the rat race- this is it. Thanks Christine.

The view from the cottage is absolutely stunning - you’re looking out through the trees over a valley with a river below, so peaceful and quiet. They have some kayaks that you can use, and I paddled from the property down the river to the ocean mouth one day. Just keep in mind that it’s a tidal river, so don’t do my trick and be paddling back upriver to the property when the tide’s going out and the water’s against you. Because the cottage is high up on the side of the valley, we had a cool breeze blowing up the hill. We didn’t have any phone service at the property, so drove back into Eden when we wanted to make a call or send messages. The owners are lovely and are great with advice and helping with any requests. They gave us a pedestal fan when we got a bit warm. There are lots of great beaches and restaurants in the area. This is a great escape for a couple who want to to get back to nature and slow down.

Dinah’s place was great for our family of 4 plus our fur baby. Easy walk to either Bar Beach or Short Point beaches and the main town isn’t much further. We loved opening up the house to the breeze, and it was like going back in time playing lots of backyard cricket on the lawn. Beds comfy, bbq and kitchen great. House does get quite warm on a sunny 30+ degree day, but cools quickly once opened up in evening.

Set on a beautiful rural property, complete with calm horses and pooches, this is a peaceful and classy stay. The location is excellent for beaches and towns along the coast. The choice is yours to explore it just stay put. Mike was very responsive to any needs and Sarah was very friendly.
