This place was truly a gem. The home is old and cute. It’s comfortable and cozy and warm. You can walk to historical sites and a restaurant. The view is unbelievable.

Absolutely stunning location and home. Peaceful, scenic and cozy! Lots of space, a beautiful kitchen and the work deck was so dreamy. Chad was supportive during the stay to ensure everything was perfect. Highly recommend this stay!

This cabin was the perfect getaway! It was well-equipped with everything we needed, making it feel like a home away from home. The view of the pond was stunning and added to the peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing escape!

the house was so clean wasn't a speck of anything anywhere. location was beautiful short five to absolutely beautiful scenery in any direction. the host were so friendly and helpful. I t was a great experience

My friends and I had a great 2 night stay at Aaron’s place. There were 3 couples. The home was very clean and well stocked with towels and extra linens. The bathrooms were quite clean with an abundant supply of bathroom tissue, hand soap and other essentials. The kitchen was also fully stocked with dishes and pots and pans along with paper towel and kitchen essentials. I would actually say it was one of the best stocked kitchens we have had at a rental. The beds were comfortable and everyone had a great night’s sleep. The view was beautiful overlooking Dildo. We did spend time outside for a barbecue and campfire. The fire pit was available but we had to bring our own firewood. While outside was quiet and private there was little lighting on the back property. Overall I would recommend staying at Aaron’s if you find yourself in the area. We would most certainly stay there again.

More than we expected, the place had everything, comfortable and cozy. The host provided excellent service and surpassed our hopes of having a nice place to stay with lots of little touched that made you feel appreciated as a customer, can’t say enough and wish we could of stayed longer.

We stayed there for a hockey tornament in Feb. Dave and Gail were very responsive to any questions and reached out before check in to advise us of a few things. It was a bit chilly in the house upon arrival but once heat kicked it it was quite cozy. Would stay there again.

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay. We could make day trips to hike, experiencing nearby communities and return to Upper Island Cove for an evening just steps away from the water. This place is filled with artwork and artifacts, interesting details and has thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor spaces that made our stay. Lisa was a fantastic host and we could it have asked for more. And Newfoundland is so worth the trip. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We have stayed at a lot of places traveling with our kids for sports and this by far was the absolute best place we have stayed at!! It is beautiful and clean. We felt right at a home and the host went above and beyond. Thank you for the great stay we will absolutely be staying again.

this was a fantastic spot. beautiful community it was so quintessentially Newfoundland. the house is old but in a good way they remind me of my childhood grandmother's house. super large kitchen you can almost see where the pot belly stove was sitting. the rooms were clean and comfortable. I really like the fact there was no Wi-Fi or TV great to unplug. this is the perfect place if you wanted us to get away from the city and relax beautiful deck to tell it was recently repaired with a barbecue if something so peaceful but sitting out in the evening looking at the bay while cooking your supper. it was great for a family however the lack of communication TV May dissuade people but the house is great thank you for your hospitality it was everything we needed for our trip

I stayed here with my sister for a little sibling bonding trip, and we had an amazing time. The house was perfect, it was spotlessly clean and we had absolutely everything we needed. It’s like the host thought of everything— anything we possibly could’ve needed was there for us. The proximity to the beach is perfect, it was super easy to take walks down to the water in the evenings to watch the beautiful sunsets, and we loved that the house itself was in such a quiet and quaint area while only being a short drive away from Carbonear. The host also suggested lots of great activities to keep us busy; we did the drive down through Hearts Content and Dildo and the scenery was just gorgeous. On top of everything, the host was very kind and responsive. Only thing to be aware of is that there were a LOT of spiders that congregated all over the doorway and deck, which made it a little difficult to get in and out. Overall we absolutely would stay here again, I’d recommend this place to anyone!

Mary was great to deal with right from the beginning. Google maps didn’t take us right to the place but it was easy to find as maps brought us close. Easy to get into the place. The views are great. Mary had fresh bread, homemade jam and treats left for us. We really enjoyed our stay and Mary’s hospitality

It was lovely, peaceful and private. Right in the middle of nature. Loved the hot tub and enjoyed the fire pit in the evening. The host Paul was lovely and very personable. Had a great chat with a bit of history lesson on the area. Will definitely go again. Plus check out his mud products which he gives a complimentary sample. Love the soap! Thanks again Paul.

An amazing location to host 12 family members attending a wedding locally! The house met all of our expectations in a beautiful location with lots of room. Very comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen to cook up a huge Newfie style breakfast post wedding shenanigans😉 The hosts were friendly, kind and easy to communicate with! Would highly recommend this accommodation and hope to be back in the future: )
