Ken's place took us back in time where we could imagine a fisherman and his family living in this space. The space is small and the decor is intended to match what it might have been like many years ago, but it worked just fine for our family of four. Be aware that the kitchen is a very tight space with a loud refrigerator and that there is only one bathroom with a claw tub/shower. Also, there was no WiFi and the cell service in the area was spotty. The location is beautiful and you can walk straight out on to a local foot path. We did have to contact Ken to get more specific directions on the location of the property so be sure to have this information before arrival. Would be very hard to find in the dark. Consider using Google Street View. We would definitely consider staying here again if we go back to the area.

Jacquelyn’s place was absolutely adorable! I can not say enough about how neat, clean, and guest oriented this little home was! So many little touches that help make a stay more comfortable. Comfy beds, extra toothbrushes, bottled water in each room, and the character of the house itself is just beautiful! Jacquelyn was an incredible host. I had to reach out to her a couple times (for my own reasons, no fault of hers), and she replied quickly and offered help! I will absolutely look to book this home the next time we travel to Placentia! My only suggestion to any future traveller would be to bring a pair of slippers as the floor downstairs is a little cool, but definitely not a game changer! Strongly recommend this cute little home 🏡 🩵

Jill‘s home is very welcoming. It makes you feel at home immediately as you walk through the door. The yard is pristine the trees put on a magical show dropping their fall leaves, beautiful colours the ability to watch the sunrise from the front porch was so lovely. Highly recommend this space comfy beds, beautiful eating areas absolutely lovely. Thank you so much.

Beautiful, roomy, well equipped, comfortable homelike feeling. Extremely quiet peaceful environment. Short walk to harbor and fishing fleet. Amy was very accommodating. Restaurants and stores a short 10 minute drive. A very picturesque area! We are planning to return!

The place is beautiful and immaculate. We brought games for the kids, but there were also some there as well. The hot tub was a hit, especially in the cold weather and there was a store close by where we picked up seed to feed the ducks! Will definitely be back!

This was such a cute and cozy place to stay! We stayed there on a night that all three units were rented out, and with the placement of the hot tub and privacy walls for each unit, it was a very comfortable and private stay. It is very spacious inside, with a fabulous view outside. The hosts put extra effort in to decorate for Valentine’s which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!

We had an amazing time at Alcatraz. The cottage was spotless. All beds were super comfy. Cottage has everything you would need for your stay. Used the smoker bbq for the first time and the meat was delicious.

We all felt that our place was a 2 minute walk to Conception Bay. It was peaceful to sleep at night. A confortable place at a reasonable price. We had access to fridge and everything in the house. Newfoundland is a welcoming place and so inviting for tourists.
