The photos don’t do this place justice! It absolutely exceeded our expectations. After spending our childhood in the sounds and then moving to Australia, it was so lovely to be back here and this was the most perfect place to stay. It has everything you need and more. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Can’t wait to come back.

Jenny was very accomodating. We had our two young children in town and the place was extremely child/family friendly. They child facilities included a high chair, bath and portacot which were all clean and easy to use. There was also black out blinds and curtains in every room which was amazing!

We had a wonderful stay in Garden view Cottage. Rhonda and Max are incredibly warm and generous hosts and make you feel right at home even before you arrive. The cottage is stunning, incredibly tranquil with an amazing view back down over Picton and the harbour. It is super clean and feels very luxurious. We had some lovely suppers on the balcony and could have stayed forever! Whilst it is up above the town, it is an easy walk down to the harbour and back. I enjoyed a run one morning and it is mostly flat. Max is very proud of the garden and encouraged us to forage for anything we needed. The chickens were fun to watch and their eggs made a great option for breakfast. Don’t hesitate to book. You will have a great stay and feel relaxed and refreshed even if you are only there for a couple of days!

This is a wee gem in Waikawa Bay. We stayed in the Beach Apartment and could not have been happier. Very generous space, beautifully refurbished and presented. Such a lovely welcome and David is such a generous host. We made the most of all that Waikawa Bay offers, swims, bike rides, walks, coffee with marina views and loved meeting friendly locals. Highly recommend this accommodation, host and location ... thanks for an amazing 3 nights ... wish we could have stayed longer

We loved watching the ferries come in and go out from the deck. The place had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. And, we feel in love with Picton. We will definitely be back!

It was just wonderful. The view is sensational, so much so that we cooked and ate in on the three nights we stayed, we had every intention to go down the road to the pub, but didn't. Loved the washing machine under the house! It's also not a long way to Picton where we caught the ferry to Wellington. Don't forget to bring your food supplies as the nearest shop is in Havelock. Perfect stay, would highly recommend it.

A well equipped lovely place in one of the world’s special places. Exceeded our expectations and a great spot to have a break.
