Cottage vacation rentals in Bancroft

Our weekend winter getaway was enjoyed by all at this lovely cottage. As soon as we walked in the front door we knew we made the right choice. We went snowshoeing on the lake and even managed to shovel some deep snow off for skating. We also tried Ice fishing but that didn’t work out as the lake was too shallow no matter how far out we went. Hot tub was a bonus and the wood burning stove (wood included) made the place cozy. Host responded quickly to any questions we had. We definitely would recommend this place for a winter getaway.

Greg’s place is a perfect cottage: homey enough to feel comfortable yet special enough to feel like a treat. The view out the huge window is a lovely mix of sloped pathway/stairs, trees, lake, island in lake and more lake in the distance. The main room has the most comfortable couch and the 500 movies include something for everyone. We especially loved the wood-fired sauna down by the lake. I hope to stay here again!

We brought our kids here as part of their Christmas present and something to look forward to over the winter. So they could have a chance at having a real Canadian winter experience and make snow forts and see the beauty of being up north. This place offered it all! The hot tub was very clean and the house was so warm and inviting and Nikki responded quickly whenever I had a question and her cottage was pristine. We will love to come back. Our kids had a blast!

Family and I did a Winter Getaway where we wanted peace and tranquility. Kevin's place is an all year place where you can find what you need or go to any time of the year. For our family it was so beautiful to chill out at the hot tub or playing games looking out on the (frozen) lake. When we first arrived we were greeted by Kevin and the reception we got from him was heartwarming. Kevin is a person who takes pride of his homes. Kevin's images on the website are true and beyond when you are staying there. A hidden gem. Really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return. Sharon H.

My family and friends had an amazing, unforgetable long weekend at Mustafa's place in early February! A beautiful place: a lovely cottage that welcomed us with many indoor and outdoor activities. All rooms were very clean and well designed, so our stay was very pleasant. Location is a plus, with private access to Redmond Bay and a beautiful sunrise! Surrounded with beautiful nature, I would recommend this place for those looking for beauty, peace, and tranquility stay! We observed a few snowmobilers on the bay, which we'd like to try next time. It is a very convenient location, just 10 min from the Town of Bancroft with stores, and a variety of great parks, activities and more fun. Looking forward to returning very soon! Beautiful cottage on the lake with lots of rooms. The view from upstairs watching the sunrise was beautiful despite all the snow!

My family and I and our fur animals really enjoyed our stay at Mac’s Hideaway. Amanda communication was amazing and also provided a late check out. The cottage was so cozy and peaceful. We enjoyed the hot tub and the amenities it had. Even though it was winter we had a nice time. Amanda also had stuff for our fur animals (bowls, treats). Definitely would book again

Kathryn and Lora’s place is magical. We had a short winter stay, but could have stayed much longer. They have done such a lovely job of elevating this sweet, simple cottage into a perfect, cozy retreat. The hot tub was all ready to go when we arrived, the wood stove was well stocked and the kitchen had everything we needed to make birthday dinner and bake a cake :). Btw, Instacart delivers directly to the cottage for all those less prepared travellers like us. We hope to visit Somerville lodge in the summer sometime so we can enjoy the river and the area a little more, but for this time - we were very happy to go nowhere and do nothing. Thanks Kathryn and Lora for a truly lovely stay.

Beautiful and peaceful lakeside cottage! We had a great stay. Host was extremely responsive and helpful. It was very spacious and had good amenities.

Kerry's place was fantastic! One important thing to note is that guests need to provide their own linens, pillows, towels, and toilet paper/paper towels. This information is found in the "About the Space" section, but it’s crucial for guests to know, especially since we arrived at night when it was quite cold and hadn’t brought any supplies. I recommend that this information be included in the welcome message when a guest books the property to avoid similar situations. On the day we arrived, the heater stopped working, but Kerry was quick to assist us and sent an electrician to address the issue. Fortunately, there is a chimney in the cottage, and once we lit it, the space became warm and cozy. As first-time cottage visitors, it truly felt like an adventure. The place is magical, and Kerry is an outstanding host. Thank you for everything!

Had a great time at this property. Even though we stayed at home due to snow we had great view. So many indoor games and fun things to do at the property. A perfect budget friendly weekend getaway. Would love to visit in the summers soon

The airbnb so nice we had to visit it twice! My friend and I have stayed at Roger & Julie's cottage twice in the last two months to get a full appreciate of Ontario winters and have close access to Algonquin & Silent Lake provincial oarks. Everything was perfect, and the hosts very kindly came to plough the driveway twice during February's second storm. Great hosts, great cottage and great location. 11/10, would recommend!

I had an amazing stay at Ke’s property and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable getaway. The place was spotlessly clean and tidy, and I immediately felt at home. The firepit was a wonderful touch, providing a cozy atmosphere for the evenings. As a parent, I was especially pleased that my 1-year-old baby was also very comfortable here. The space was safe and welcoming for our little one, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The scenery around the property is absolutely stunning, adding a peaceful and natural beauty that made our experience even more memorable. Lastly, I can’t say enough about the Shannon’s kindness, quick responses, and hospitality. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and made us feel truly welcome. I am so grateful for their attentiveness and care throughout our stay. Thank you for an unforgettable experience! I will definitely be returning in the future.

Lisa's home is exactly the type of accommodations we look for. We love keeping the wood stove going, the personal touches like the handmade counter tops, and the huge bay windows letting in tons of natural light. You can walk down the snowmobile/atv trail before dinner and the next day hike the Old Rail Trail all the way across into the border into Algonquin Park to you heart's content. The town is in the middle of nature and is for nature lovers.

South Bay Cottage is truly a perfect and lovely lake getaway. Drive off the main road and into your own private cove outfitted with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Once inside, the view of Lake Stoney can be seen through the large windows from anywhere in the main room. The sunsets and starry skies were so peaceful - and even though locals told us it was unusual - we actual had an amazing view of the Northern Lights! We loved that this cottage included all the linens we needed and lots of areas to get cozy and read a book - including the extra-special gazebo. While the kitchen area is small - it is well equipped with everything we needed. Close to great hikes (Petroglyph Provincial Park, High Falls at Eels Creek, Warsaw Caves, and many others.) Also great to explore the area's great golf courses, Wanderlight Alpaca walks (a must do), Peterborough Pete's hockey, Peterborough theatre, and amazing restaurants in Lakefield (Loon, Cassia, and more). Melissa was a wonderful host!

Laura is definitely a 5 star host she has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Laura responds to questions very quickly and has lots of information about the area and the cottage. I appreciated that she emailed me on a rainy day for things to do. From the time we entered the cottage we felt welcomed with a candle and a s’mores kit which was put to good use. The cottage is very peaceful and well stocked and very comfortable as show in the pictures. The host has thought of all your needs from newspapers to start a fire to coffee . Now make sure you are physically ok to climb stairs as my Apple Watch gave me a new 5 day trend for climbing stairs. However it’s a necessary evil to enjoy the cottage. If you want to relax and enjoy sitting on the dock watching a few ducks and reading a book than this is your place

Tracey was an amazing host. She checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and when we asked if there was a way to clear off some of the lake for skating during our stay she helped us hire one of her neighbours with a tractor! Everything was perfect. Thank you for making our Family Day Weekend so incredible!

Our stay was perfect, chalet had everything you could ask for and more! We stayed for work so we didn’t get a chance to go to the beach, or play any of the ample board games, but the kitchen was wonderfully stocked and the shower had great water pressure! Could not have asked for a better stay!

We all really enjoyed our stay. The cottage had everything we needed. Very much enjoyed the sauna and lakeview. Host was very responsive and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Excellent cottage! Spent Thanksgiving weekend with family at Deb's place. The location is amazing on marble lake with great water views and all the amenities needed. We cooked, BBQd enjoyed the wood burning fire place, relaxed and enjoyed each other's company. The walking trails near the property are also gorgeous and we enjoyed some great hikes in near by Bon Echo PP. We definitely will be back to the Daisy cottage!

Tammy was the sweetest, most helpful hist to my parents. I booked this place for their 1 year anniversary weekend and they were in love. She left them a cute note and got them a bottle of wine to celebrate. They loved the space so much and felt right at home and didn't want to leave. Tammy thank you SO much for your hospitality and taking such good care of my parents. They will absolutely be back!!

This spot was great! It was the perfect refuge for a snowstorm. The kitchen was large, the bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathroom was pristine when we arrived. It's a very quiet area in close proximity to Campbellford and loads of conservation areas. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the surrounding forested area, the jacuzzi in very cold weather and cozied up in the living room with Netflix and food when the weather was too cold to venture outside. Parul was a great host, she even went as far as calling a snowplow to clear the driveway for us before we left. She was always ready to answer any questions we might've had and gave clear instructions regarding check-in, check-out and any issues regarding the property. Two big thumbs up! Thank you Parul!

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay during the last week of August! Some of our favourite parts of the place include: the canoes/kayaks that were available to use at our leisure, the check-in process being seamless, the essentials being provided (all kitchen supplies, beach towels, shower supplies), the other amenities (board games, BBQ). The place itself is quite beautiful. The dock with the chairs, the fire pit (even though we did not use) and the solarium were all stunning. I would just mention that it is a bit smaller of a place inside, so did find it a bit cozy and tight in the rooms. Also, the place is supplied with quite a loud window AC so sometimes it would get a bit loud/warm in the place. However, we would still give the place a 5/5 all things considered.

Chantyle's cottage was a great find for our family. While it was basic and nothing fancy but that is just what our family loves. We basically only need a spot to sleep and cook, other then that we are outside enjoying the nature we are surrounded by, and this spot was perfect The beach was perfect for swimming, crystal clear, and shallow so the kids could walk out for quite some distance. On top of the beautiful area and comfortable rustic cabin we were greeted by a very friendly, accommodating, and very helpful campground manager Phil and his wife Tanya. Helped us with things we needed right away and gave us suggestions on places to check out that our kids ended up loving....overall amazing experience thanks for having our family stay it was a great location and great place. friendly seasonal campers as well. our family will definitely be back ?
