Family-friendly vacation rentals in Aventine Hill

If you are planning on spending more than a week in Rome but do not want to reside in any tourist area, look no further than Antonia’s absolutely fantastic home in Garbatella!!!! The bedrooms (three!) are all spacious and well-lit. The bathrooms provide everything one needs, including a washing machine! We cooked several of our meals in her well-appointed kitchen as it contained everything one needs, including a huge refrigerator by Italian standards and a dishwasher! The BEST part however is Antonia herself! Fantastic communication throughout our stay and the most generous of persons, even dropping off fresh Italian pastries one morning! 5-minute walk to the metro; fantastic cheese and meat shop around the corner; 12-minute walk to the train 🚂 station and all in a vibrant neighborhood of true Italy!

Fidias home was perfect. It is near the Piazza del Popolo, walking distance to the Prati neighborhood. Approximately 11 minutes to the Spanish steps. The home is clean and spacious, very comfortable. We had a rainy day on the trip and we were happy relaxing in the living room. The bedrooms are large and the beds are very comfortable. Fidia was very kind and responsive. She arranged transportation for us from the train station and to the airport, which made our trip even smoother. Overall, our experience was wonderful, and I can't recommend Fidia’s home enough for anyone visiting Rome!

We enjoyed our stay at Germana's place! We loved the location, walkable to everything in the Trastevere neighborhood and about a 25-30 min walk to the Colosseum. They provided coffee, tea, a snack, and a small bottle of prosecco which we appreciated! It was also well stocked with shampoo, a hair dryer, and iron, and a closet with hangers.

Andrea was amazing! He let us check in early and we truly appreciate that since we were so tired. He responded right away with questions we had and gave us wonderful recommendations for food. The house is beautiful, just an FYI at night it is loud and you can hear everything but there is nothing the host can do about that. I 100% recommend this place.

We really enjoyed our stay in Rome. Mauricio’s place is in a great location being walking distance to the Vatican and lots of buses to get to downtown Rome. The apartment was very clean and spacious. Maurizio was very responsive when we needed to contact him. Highly recommended.

This apartment is amazing! It’s in a great location and in a lovely old building with a marble staircase. The apartment is spotlessly clean and very well-appointed. One thing which really stood out was that the main bedroom and bathroom are extremely spacious. It was a bonus having great outside space which we used even though our visit was in February. The communication from the hosts was excellent and the details provided regarding getting into the apartment were clear and detailed. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Had a great 3 night stay at Luca’s. Was in a safe area and walkable to Villa Borghese, Vatican, and center storico. Apartment was clean and comfortable, no complaints, would recommend the property to others and stay here again myself.

Edoardo was a great host. (Also if you are lucky enough you might meet his dog Paco who is also lovely). The place is great for large families as it has a large kitchen and two bathrooms. The location is great, as there is a Carrefour close, metro station and several bus stops.

Emanuela was an absolutely fantastic host! Friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. The apartment itself was spotless and smelled lovely! It was also perfectly located, being very close to the metro station (Pigneto - 2 stations away from San Giovanni) which made getting around Rome incredibly easy. While not far from the city center, we also loved that it was situated in a neighborhood with some fantastic local restaurants, bars and supermarkets that weren't overrun with tourists. Highly recommend this place for a memorable Roman getaway!

Giuseppe is a welcoming, available host who recommends the essentials to do. The place is good for a stay in Rome. Ideally located, you can visit the city on foot or go to the places of your choice by transport (metro a short walk away). We will not hesitate to come back if the opportunity arises.

The communication with Giorgia was great, he helped us with everything we needed, in the place we also found recommendations for local restaurants, restaurants in the center, information about supermarkets, pharmacy, etc. The place is close to the Pigneto metro line, about 3-4 minutes, you get to the center of Rome very quickly via the metro or via the bus. The place was clean and equipped with everything you need. 5 stars to the fullest!!

Excellent location, in front of the subway. The region is very good, with several restaurants and shops. Very helpful and considerate hosts. Spacious and very pleasant apartment. I highly recommend it.

The apartment's location is unparalleled, literally one block from the Colosseum and very close to all the other attractions. Pamino is very friendly and the access is very easy. Highly recommend.

It was a wonderful stay. Paolo was very helpful and attentive. The apartment very organized and clean. Paolo was careful to leave a cupboard stocked with products for the preparation of a beautiful paste, ( noodles, olive oil, sauce and seasonings) This was perfect because we arrived at night from the tours and prepared a beautiful meal. There were also fruits and cleaning products is hygiene. Really, it exceeded my expectations. Paolo Valeu will definitely indicate your space to my friends.

We stayed during the Christmas holidays, the area is great, convenient to visit the entire historic center of Rome on foot, but at the same time very quiet. The accommodation has everything you need and is comfortable to accommodate a family of 5. Giuliana was helpful for any need, often proactive in her advice.

Stefano’s place was absolutely amazing! We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. The location on the 6th floor offers stunning views that are truly unforgettable. I especially loved the hot tub and terrace, where I spent every evening relaxing. The place was spotless, and they even let us drop off our bags the morning we arrived. I give Stefano’s place 5 stars, and we’ll definitely book again when we visit. It felt just like home!

A haven away from the hustle and bustle of Rome. Only a 15 min drive from the station where you can hop on the metro and be at the heart of the city in 15 mins. The house was really well equipped set in beautiful gardens that are perfect for relaxing in after a busy day. Licia was there to greet us and was welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable about the area giving us some great tips on what to do and where to go. Highly recommended.

Cosy apartment with real fire

We stayed 3 nights at the accommodation and were very happy to receive clear instructions to come and also the recommendations for outings. The property is small but convenient for 2 people and clean. Small downside the ventilation of the bathroom impossible to stop at night which was disturbing for me. With earplugs no worries. Above all, we enjoyed being able to enjoy restaurants and others outside of Rome city center: much more interesting prices and really delicious food. Finally, transportation is a 10-minute walk from the property. We also had the pleasure of meeting the cats and chickens in the garden. So we recommend this place for those who want to experience a more authentic and less touristy place in Rome.

After a stressful airport journey it was nice to meet Alessandro’s mother who welcomed us and showed us around the place. It is a very warm and intimate place - perfect for 2 people. The area has walkable grocery stores, restaurants and cafe’s and a beautiful mall within a 10 minute drive. Although it was nice to stay in February, I would definitely recommend visiting in the summer time :))

The house was exactly as described and we had a wonderful time. Communication was always spot on and Flavio was a great host. Everything worked perfectly. The house is in a great location. Perfect for day trips into Rome or to the surrounding hilltop towns. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.
