Fallen Timber Ranch was beautiful to be at even during the winter. You are perfectly between Buena Vista and Salida so if you want to go explore a town or eat out you can, you can enjoy winter activities (skiing…) or you can enjoy their property and Colorado mountains. So if you are looking for a combination of adventures (skiing, hiking, rafting…), small town (local food, breweries…), and relaxation (fire pits, watching wildlife, cooking…) this is the place to stay. Plus the stars at night are phenomenal!

This was the perfect little escape from the usual day to day. The house was cozy, the area was beautiful and Eric/Hope are just the best!! The lack of tv and wifi was just as nice a the walks by the river. We got to see and join in the milking process and collecting eggs. We want to make this a reoccurring vaca location.

We loved staying here and getting to meet the horses and very friendly cats! The apartment is cozy and clean and we appreciated the bathrobes and breakfast items and country views. Steph kindly helped us meet her beautiful mustangs and told us about the farm, and the cats were incredibly cuddly. A lovely experience!

When we saw the pictures we said it was perfect but once you get there it’s even better. Everything about this place is amazing. The house was spotless clean with everything you need and might need. They thought about everything here. This place really makes you feel at home. John and Jennifer (momma as we call her now) were very helpful and always making sure we had everything we needed. Words cannot describe this place. You really have to get out there and check it out for yourself self. We will be going back pretty soon!

Everything was great, a perfect place for a guys hunting weekend, had everything we needed except a crockpot and Crystal had one sitting on the counter upon our arrival. WiFi wasn’t working when we arrived but Crystal came within minutes to resolve the issue. It’s not fancy but very laid back & cozy, love the hunting decor. We will be back!

Accurately described… out in the country. The farm dogs are very friendly, but if you have pups with you, be aware that the farm dogs will greet you. If your dogs don’t like other dogs, this might not be the right place. I enjoyed the cows and Amish buggies!

Pretty calm and peaceful area and very private that we enjoyed. We definitely enjoyed the hot tub with these chilly nights, most definitely would stay here again due to how private and close it is to hot springs

I have stayed at my fair share of Air BNB locations, and this has to be my favorite so far! House was well stocked and there were clear instructions on spaces that were for guests. It was very peaceful at the house and we had a great time watching it snow while utilizing the fireplace. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again when I come back to Kansas!!

Exceptionally clean! Pleasantly surprised how comfortable the RV was. Plenty of space for my husband and I with 3 kids 5 and under. Hosts were incredibly friendly and quick response time with any questions. I hope I get the opportunity to stay again!

We felt at home in the rustic old farmhouse. Being on the farm was beautiful and peaceful. Wevenjoyed going for walks on the farm. I got up early and sat outside with my coffee one morning. Through the e-bird app, I discovered there were 22 different birds chirping and singing. Very cool. We brought out kayaks and were able to take them to Eldorado Lake. I had a great visit with Craig who was friendly and informative about the ranch. My husband and I came home well rested. We hope to return.

Was looking for a peaceful night away with my husband and we found just that! The games were such a nice added touch. We were able to get into the hot tub while it was snowing! 😍 It was a beautiful time - we will be back in the summer so we can bring the kids and swim!

This is a place where you can relax and not be bothered by lots of distractions. There are opportunities to explore the surroundings or just sit and watch nature come to you, build a bonfire while enjoying a drink. This was a great place for dogs--like living in a dog park. The house was comfortable and furnished with everything we needed for a few days. We hope to visit again in a different season.

Pastoral setting and a house with everything you will need. The beds were super comfortable and we slept well! Well supplied kitchen, roomy, comfortable seating, and beautiful views. Kristy and her husband went above and beyond to make our experience a great one. I’d recommend if you are in the area you stay here.

The farm house was perfect for a one-night stay for our family. We were 5 adults and one small child, and we had plenty of space! There were even toys and a kids library in the house! We loved the kitty, Fegaro! It was also fun to have cows right outside. The home was comfortable and clean. We felt right at home! Our host was very responsive.
