We just got back from a sisters weekend at Kyla’s cottage and it was so peaceful and relaxing! The beds were SUPER comfy and the hot tub was very clean (the whole place was). We didn’t make use of the fire pit but it was a nice added feature for sure. The cottage was very modern/minimalistic and it just felt so welcoming and easy to fully relax in. Loved the area and we visited the nearby “Cake by the Maples” as we were leaving. Definitely a must stop when you stay here! We will definitely be back.

My family of 6 adults & 2 children enjoyed a wonderful 3 day mini vacation at the Birchwood. With three large bedrooms, a fully stocked kitchen for preparing meals, and plenty of linens and towels, the property had everything we needed. The coffee bar with complimentary k-cups was a lovely treat and much appreciated. Made good use of the hot tub; a nice addition for getting outside in the cold! Mark is a great host, friendly and always prompt to answer questions. Was more than accommodating with arrival & departure times. We would highly recommend the Birchwood; would love to come back and enjoy the surroundings during the summer months.

We were looking for a quiet, winter getaway immersed in nature with amenities such as a hot tub and fireplace, and Jennifer's place delivered that beyond expectations! We appreciated the clean, minimalist, but cozy home with all of the extras like a hot tub, fire pit, nature trails, and a variety of board games. Jennifer was an amazingly responsive communicator, which extended into the thorough but simplisitic house manual, complete with a map of the trails they thoughtfully have marked around their property. When a winter storm was forecasted, with potential for power outages, Jennifer and Austen proactively stopped by (with great advanced notice) to install a generator in case we needed it and to ensure our comfort through the last night of our stay. I have already recommended their amazing home to friends and wouldn't hesitate to book again!

It's our second time visiting and we are already planning another visit. Amazing spot and the wood-fired hot tub right on the water is an amazing bonus. The bed is comfortable and the filtered water tap means we didn't have to take water with us. And everyone that works there is friendly, helpful and responsive.

The home is so lovely and cozy, looked even better in person. I love the private hot tub and beautiful views, such a great way to spend a weekend away. The home had everything you would possibly need, especially if you forgot anything at home. The owners were so friendly and responsive, they even came out early in the morning to unfreeze the pipes. Great hosts! I will definitely love to come back very soon!

we absolutely love Arnels place , the games room in the garage was lovely we spent a lot of time with family and friends out there, love the fact that there is a wood stove in the garage and the cottage . The cottage had everything you needed plus more. The hot tub and the charcoal smoker were added bonus can't wait to come back again to go kayaking, and paddle boarding on the lake in the warmer weather . The back deck with the gazebo is another great feature and very private setting!

The location was so beautiful and quiet! The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of seating inside and outside. The one amenity that we missed was a dryer but the portable washer worked well. The host was very communicative and we felt like we get got a great bargain. Even though I came from the west coast, I got up at sunrise each morning and it was memorable!

This private accommodation was just as described and exactly what we were looking for. The kitchen was well equipped (ample supply of dishes, glasses pots/pans & some food provisions to start the stay), clean and comfortable to work in. The view was exceptional (we were very lucky with the weather!) and the clear, dark night sky was spectacular. The bed was comfortable and roomy, with high quality linens. The jet tub was very relaxing. The warmth from the wood stove made the whole place cosy... great for reading a good book with a glass of 🍷. Thanks for sharing Myrtle!

I had a lovely stay at David and Nancy's cottage. The cottage was roomy, spotlessly clean and fully equipped (the kitchen had a few items in it that I don't even have in my own kitchen). It was comfortable and convenient and David and Nancy were responsive, kind and generous. I would definitely stay with them again the next time I am in Hubbards. (I'd come back just for Nancy's homemade chocolate mints!)

Larry’s cabin is modern and well-equipped, tucked away in the trees ten mins walk or a couple of minutes drive from the private beach. We felt at home and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. My daughter especially enjoyed the ladder ball, frisbee and bubbles as well as the little red squirrel which was around most days!

Peter's place is an absolutely enchanting, warm, inviting home in the woods surrounded by forest and situated on a beautiful lake. Our stay was in the winter, and we enjoyed being able to walk trails without having to drive anywhere, the absolute quiet, the dark, clear skies for star gazing at night and the warmth and comfort of the indoors. We enjoyed all the perks of the instruments and games that are provided in the cabin too. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!

The lake house met all our expectations. The house is in a beautiful location, the fall scenery was gorgeous and the family had a great time eating, hanging out and playing games. Thanks for having us!

It was a great stay overall. Went on February, so one of the uphill connecting roads near the property was completely black iced, and had a hard time over there. So, just heads up to whoever planning trip there over winter time, please make sure you have winter tyre. Regular tyre won’t stand a chance. Overall, great location, peaceful environment, cozy place and a very responsive and friendly host.

We were looking for a quiet place near Annapolis Royal yet out-of-town, and we found it. The trips to surrounding towns, restaurants, and tourist sites were easy and there was little traffic. Although not all the rooms in the cabin have been fully renovated yet, Patrick thoughtfully provided comfortable furnishings, and there were many 'homey' touches that we appreciated, like adequate lighting in each room, good quality linens and towels, and flowers on the table. We enjoyed the well-supplied kitchen, great shower, and deck for relaxing, outdoor breakfasts, and views of Milbury Lake from the private beach. Patrick was a responsive host and made sure we arrived safely and had everything we needed.

I arrived feeling exhausted after a long drive from the USA. But, what a great place to land in Nova Scotia! I slept like a baby in a very comfy bed. The surroundings are beautiful--tucked amidst trees and overlooking the waters of La Have river- I found a little piece of paradise here. The cottage itself is charming. A well stocked kitchen including treats from the La Have bakery. Can't resist that! Joe is such a friendly and kind host. I appreciated that he was always quick to respond to any questions. He can tell you about all the sights and restaurants in the area. My favorite was Cresent Beach about a 15 minute drive--what a place to walk your dog and experience the ocean. I highly recommend staying here!

We absolutely loved our weekend getaway at the cottage. The place was spotlessly clean and cozy and had all the amenities you could possibly need. The place is very private and we got to enjoy the kayaks and a lovely bonfire under the stars. The hosts are very accommodating, friendly and responsive. This is one of the nicest AirBnBs I have stayed at and we are already planning to come again next summer. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed or stay at Ashley's Airbnb on Sutherland Lake, it is our second stay at this Airbnb. The host's are helpful and are responsive to emails and any questions we had. The Airbnb is comfortable, clean and welcoming.

We stayed here over New Year’s and it was the perfect getaway. Super comfortable, cozy woodstove, and amazing views. We’d definitely return!
