We just want to express how truly special our month-long stay at Finca La Petisa was. It provided me a wonderful opportunity to work remotely, thanks to the reliable internet, and for my husband to do much birdwatching, tallying over 80 species of birds over the month’s stay. Leaving behind the long winter in Canada already felt refreshing, but having a breathtaking view of the valley from my window as I worked uplifted me constantly. Meanwhile, my husband discovered new bird species every day he wandered the Finca. We did have to make some adjustments to our new environment, but those proved minor and were more than compensated by the beauty of the locale and the country (thank you Juan for recommending Tesoro Escondido; really enjoyed).
