Cottage vacation rentals in Amsterdam

What an amazing place to stay it with kids, there was so much space around the lodge which all felt really safe to let them explore different activities. There was a quite a few groups there but it was never noisy or overcrowded. The lodges were really cool and different to what we stayed in previously, it did go a little cold one of the nights we were there but they were still comfortable and nice (you can rent heaters if needed). We would 100% come back in the future if we travel that way again. We went for a trip to Amsterdam which was easy to get to and Sprookjeswonderland which I would recommend too with children under 6/7

Jokelien and her partner were kind, thoughtful, and enjoyable hosts. The house is situated in a peaceful and beautiful place, they anticipated many things we didn't even know that we needed. The property was charming, clean, and wonderfully located. They had recommendations which made our visit smooth, comfortable and special. Highly recommended!

Our recent stay was for 4 nights, but we wished we had booked longer. The property was very clean, very modern and had parking that was safe and easy to find. after the long drive the hot tub was hot and lovely to relax in! We loved that the property was accommodating for animals and we immediately felt at home with the very friendly hosts. we would definitely stay again.

Was here with three friends and had a great time! Very quiet, great nature and very well maintained! Definitely recommended :)

We had a great stay in Esther and Marc's cottage. Beautifully furnished with such attention to detail. It had everything you needed for a short break. The view over the water in the sunshine and the sunsets were lovely. Friendly restaurant with good food just at the end of the road. Beach, villages and towns within easy reach. Hot tub in the garden and a canoe and bikes at your disposal and a delicious breakfast brought to your door. Highly recommended 👌

Wow! Nor and Mat’s cottage was the perfect escape. The most comfortable stay with picturesque views. The home was immaculate, and Nor and Mat have thought of everything—including toys and crafts for our 3 year old. Their communication and instructions were great, too. The location was wonderful too—a short drive to many restaurants and stores while still quiet and peaceful. We loved our time there!

John is a very friendly landlord who always responded kindly and quickly to questions. In the house itself, we were warmly welcomed according to instructions and were very impressed by the many details. The house has every comfort and nothing was missing. The only small drawback I have to say is that the house is very audible. Every toilet, every shower, etc., all the fellow travelers had something, but still the life in the house was very pleasant. The lower room does not allow privacy, but this was already mentioned in the reviews by our predecessors. We would recommend the house and the landlord at any time!!! ❤️❤️

Had a very nice stay. Good communication with Richard to enter the cottage (he was still on vacation himself). Very clean cottage with all the comforts. Beautiful large garden with views and lots of tranquility. In the summer it seems wonderful to come back here. A double bed is on the landing and this space cannot be locked. With slightly older children, that is easy to do, but given the bed is on an open staircase, I do not recommend this for very young children. Or you have to sleep under a very sloping wall as parents. Underfloor heating was very pleasant. We had a great time in the area! Thank you Richard!

Angelique is a super host, very responsive and on hand if you need anything answered or help with directions etc. I have not encountered a better air bnb host :-) The water cottage is peaceful and restful and has everything you need. For Amsterdam you must be either prepared to drive or happy to walk just over 1.3 miles into the town. Its a 45 min bus into Amsterdam which is pretty regular or you can drive 15 mins to a train station and make your way in from there. We had no problem with this at all but some might be put off. However the location and quiet peace by the water was super and worth it!

Everything was as described - we felt very comfortable. The dog had a demarcated area in the garden and could run freely. Hosts were always available and responded immediately to inquiries. Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful week here. We stayed here with 3 people. The house is in a very quiet location, is very nicely decorated. We didn't miss anything. We felt very comfortable here. We also found the personal welcome very pleasant. You can walk to the center in about 10 minutes. You can do great bike rides here or hike through the dunes. The beaches are fantastic. Frank is a very nice host. We can fully recommend this place and would be happy to come back.

Very beautiful place peaceful relaxing

I had a nice time at Anja and Hans's cottage. It didn't feel "tiny" at all and everything was definitely to your liking. You will definitely relax in this location and the deer complete it. Anja and Hans were super nice and made sure everything was clear from start to finish. I'd definitely be back again!

We stayed with Ben for two weeks in connection with our renovation and we enjoyed it! Despite the renovation crowds, it felt like a mini vacation. Our 2.5-year-old son was able to play in the garden and everything was present in the house for a carefree stay. Ben's hospitality was fantastic and we felt at home straight away. Thank you!

Staying at the Pelican Dune was really beautiful all around. The cottage is totally quiet and beautiful in the residential area of the place while being very close to the beach. We felt right at home. The kitchen was absolutely sufficient for everything we had planned, we even prepared 2x dinner ourselves. Willem was very friendly and was immediately available when we had a question. He has a folder with all kinds of tips for the area in the house, so we also looked in a few times:) Suffering is also very close and beautiful! Especially the market. Our first time vacation in the Netherlands was really a success, and our stay in Nordwijk was natural.

Nice, complete house. Nice outside space. if weather is nice really enjoyable to sit outside. A quiet 'park' on which the chalet is situated. Kids can play outside, the access road to the chalet can only be reached by foot. Kitchen well equipped. Sufficient bedlinen, towels etc. Good dishwasher and washing machine. Marion responds quickly and accommodates where she can. All in all a nice place and a good starting point to see rural North Holland with close proximity to Alkmaar and Amsterdam. And to sea/beach/dunes/forest!

Very pleasant place. Beautiful large space where it is wonderful to stay with a small child. Near the forest, lake or village. Plenty to do by bike!

Jolanda’s place is located on the edge of a nature reserve. So long walks along the river are a must with some very unusual birds to be seen and heard. If you have a car, you have easy access to Motorways, you can also hire bikes from Jolanda and quiet rides into the neighbouring towns are within 30 mins. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and the hosts are friendly and were great for suggestions of where to go and what to do. Hope to visit again sometime.
