The Icehouse is such a beautiful, unique home. My gf and I spent Valentine's Day here and loved it. It's not every day you get the chance to stay at such a lovingly designed home. Whether you're curling up in front of the fireplace, listening to the creek just a few steps outside the door, or cooking a romantic meal with their stocked kitchen, the Icehouse makes everything seem magical. The hosts are communicative and full of great recommendations. Honestly the best home I've ever stayed at on Airbnb.

We had a great stay, with two families and really enjoyed this cabin, which was exactly as pictured, every square inch of space was used well The bar around the kitchen was great for adults to hang out while someone was cooking. Our two boys loved sleeping in the loft upstairs and built an epic pillow fort around the reading nook. We hadn't realized that the downstairs bathroom was not only ensuite from one king bedroom, but also a 'Jack and Jill' setup from the other hallway with queen and king. That was a pleasant surprise because that meant no one had to climb the stairs to use their bathroom! All in all a great stay -- definitely enough room for 2-3 couples, with 4 twin beds in the loft upstairs for kids.

Our stay at this hilltop retreat in Sutter Creek was absolutely perfect! We spent the entire long weekend soaking in the incredible views, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, and taking full advantage of everything the house had to offer. The fully stocked kitchen made it easy to cook our own meals, and the dining table provided breathtaking panoramic views while we ate. The hot tub was the perfect spot to relax, especially at night under the stars. The house itself was spacious, with plenty of comfortable lounging areas—ideal for watching all the championship football games over the weekend. The beds were super cozy, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. Every detail was well thought out, making our stay effortless and relaxing. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and are already planning our return. Highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone looking for a true retreat!

This home was absolutely beautiful. My family and I stayed here for a quick vacation and this couldn’t have been a better location. Everything was so easy to navigate and Elizabeth and Laurence’s descriptions could not have been better. We had Laurence come by for wine tasting, and it was so lovely. He made us feel welcomed! We loved learning about the vineyard from him :) We will definitely be booking again when the time for another vacay comes!

We stayed at the mountain soul cabin this past weekend for my birthday with our family and dog! Beautiful property pictures do not do it justice! Brittany was very responsive during our stay and very friendly. The place was easy to find and easy to check in. The master bedroom is huge! Perfect backyard for dogs. We would love to stay here again in the future!

We had a great time staying at the cabin. It’s rustic and charming. We were happy not to have any snow, but we were able to easily travel up to Bear Valley for skiing and sledding. There are lots of nearby amenities and just a short drive to the grocery store and restaurants. The cabin was very warm and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed watching the DVDs and playing with the games. The beds are also super comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

The hosts to the property are amazing people. Very family oriented place to rent. Took our dirt bike out, we got to pet the farm animals. Amazing weekend we had visiting. Also if you have time for a little drive down the way to Shingle Springs there is a restaurant named CT European Cafe very delicious food. My family and I will definitely be returning when we are in the area. Can not express enough how great the hospitality was. Thank you so much for everything.

This such a great home located walking distance from the beautiful and charming downtown of Sutter Creek. The house was clean, matched the description and it had everything our family needed. Stephanie and Kevin were such a great hosts and they communicated with us every step of the way. They also went so above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had what we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

This was our second time staying at Bryan's home, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The house is fully stocked with everything we needed, making it feel just like home. Bryan was great with communication, reaching out early to inform us about some scheduled work in the neighborhood well before it started, which was much appreciated. We enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful mountain getaway.

David was a wonderful host! He communicated everything very well and even helped us figure out the volume in the theater one night. The house had everything we needed, even some spices to cook with! It was a very cozy home and we felt very comfortable there.

Cute cottage tucked in the woods perfect for 2 couples. Very private and peaceful. Located 20-30 minutes drive from restaurants, wineries, etc.

Great stay for our 3 families. The kids loved their loft sleeping and play area (and we loved how entertained they were outside of the main living area). Aside from having to do dishes “old school” because of no dishwasher/disposal, we loved our stay.

Great cabin for the weekend. It was very cozy and super clean. We were unable to get the main floor heater to work but there were plenty of space heaters for us to use to keep warm. Perfect location for Bear Valley and Big Trees. We would love to come back again!

This was just what we were looking for - serene location right around the corner from Big Trees and close to a sno-park for our toddler to explore. Nearby market made it easy to pick up food supplies. We'd stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay, it was perfect to fit 3 couples and a dog! The house was well equipped with AC to keep our stay warm through the cold weather. The location was very convenient to get to Kirkwood Ski Resort ~45mins drive.

This Airbnb is nothing short of amazing! The location is perfect, with easy access to everything we needed, and the property itself was spotless, cozy, and exactly as described. It had all the comforts of home and then some! But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the incredible kindness and care of the hosts. During our trip, we faced an unexpected emergency that required a 16-hour visit to the ER. In our absence, the hosts went above and beyond to help us. They not only ensured everything at the Airbnb was taken care of but also looked after our beloved dog, who had to stay behind. They even brought our dog to their home, played with him, and cared for him as if he were their own. We were overwhelmed by their compassion and generosity, it meant the world to us during such a difficult time. These hosts aren’t just amazing, they are exceptional human beings. We will always be grateful for their kindness and can’t recommend this Airbnb highly enough! ❤️

Laurel’s place was fantastic. Not only was the location great but she has stocked the house with all that you need for a fun filled vacation! She was super responsive to questions and gave perfect local recommendations for snow play areas for our kids and dog. 10/10 would book again!

We rented the Airbnb because we had 11 people staying with us for a wedding. We also had a group of bridesmaids come to the Airbnb to get ready for the wedding. The house was spacious. It accommodated us all. We were able to make breakfast for all with plenty of room and all that we needed to cook breakfast. The Master bedroom bed was very comfortable. Beautiful area with lots of deer in the area. The owner let us know that the heater wasn’t working properly prior to our arrival, but he was able to get someone to check it. It worked very well and the whole place was warm. The owner was very responsive, answering all of our questions quickly. The road leading up to the Airbnb had a lot of twists and turns. We needed our navigation system each time we left and returned. It was a nice stay overall. I would recommend it for large families or groups.

Tony and Diana were excellent hosts! Getting to the house and getting into the house was easy. The house was very clean, and had all the amenities we were looking for - pet-friendly, fireplace, hot tub, kitchen equipment. We appreciated Tony's call to check on us during our stay to be sure we had everything we needed. The house is cozy and comfortable with gorgeous surroundings. We were really happy to stay, and hope to visit again!

We rented this amazing villa to spend the holidays with our family and we loved every minute of it! This place is absolutely amazing. It's much bigger than you'd think from the images. All the rooms are essentially suites, with private bathrooms (except for the two upstairs rooms, which share a bathroom). The rooms are beautifully furnished, like a European chateau. The surroundings are gorgeous. We went in winter, and I now want to go back in the summer! There were 8 of us and there was so much space. The hosts were very responsive and made us feel right at home. Thank you! We will definitely be back!!

The whole family had such a great time, especially stargazing from the deck, which was an unforgettable experience. We were also really impressed with the host's attention to detail. The included permit made everything so much easier, and the guide with recommendations for local activities and dining was incredibly helpful. We especially loved hiking the rim trail, which was perfect for our dog — the trailhead was just a quick 2-minute drive away. The host was super responsive to any messages we had, making the whole stay even more enjoyable. We will absolutely be coming back! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with a four-legged friend!

Booked Jono and Keri's place at the last minute, as my original booking at Tamarack Lodge was suddenly unavailable. They were very responsive when I requested their place and very friendly to deal with. The cabin was spacious, tidy, and wonderful to stay in for me, my dad, and my two kids. We stayed there as a home base for skiing at Bear Valley, about 30 minutes away. Jono and Keri offered up some great tips for equipment rentals and checked in with me to see how everything was going. Given the time of year, the wood stove came in handy. Really appreciate them as hosts, along with their well-equipped, well-maintained place. Would definitely book again!
