Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Zakhama

Peleto and his wife are really warm and gracious hosts. The home-cooked meals they provide are delicious and definitely one of the highlights of staying here. The room itself is well-furmished and has everything you need. Peleto also went out of his way to help me do the Japfu trek and he always provided recommendations on things to see and do nearby. Overall I had a great time staying here and think it's one of the best places to stay in the area.

Had a wonderful stay at Danyele's accomodation. The housekeeper Ruya, along with the house itself, made us feel right at home!

I am glad to have found this place. Its a beautiful stay with good view of the Kohima city and lots and lots of nature. You wake up to the sounds of ducks, chickens. The place is everything a nature lover wants. Coming to the hosts, Kerie and Keneth have been such wonderful hosts. You just tell something and they will make every efforts to make that happen. They took out time and showed me some great local places, suggested good food items to try. Also, they helped me plan my itinerary and made my first Nagaland trip just memorable. Food made by Kerie was just delicious. Be it the chicken curry or the kheer, loved them all. Keneth drove me to any place in my wishlist. He helped me explore Kohima just like a local. I am already missing the place and the sweet hosts. Eagerly waiting for my next trip to Nagaland soon :)

If plush mattresses, uninterrupted electricity or heated rooms are important, continue searching. If you value genuine village hospitality, with a view into Naga family life - and the chance to participate in and learn about it - then this place is simply the best. The host family is graciously welcoming, friendly and helpful. I felt truly cared for and extended my stay because it was so comfortable and fun. Dinners by the fire, breakfast in the sunny garden, lively conversation with the hosts and other guests; healthy, fresh local cuisine; easily arranged outings to nearby sites. Even the pets are friendly and engaging, definitely part of the scene. Just bring warm clothes -including nightwear- during the chilly months (eg, January). I highly recommend Dawn Homestay and very much hope to return someday.

The best thing was the wonderful, friendly, delicious and fun food service provided by Zayie and Atsi! I felt so welcome and was treated like a king! (-: Please let them know that I appreciate them very much and hope to see them next time I am in Viswema!

Ikheshe's place, I K Guest House is a pleasant surprise. It is definitely one of the best accommodation options that one could wish for in the beautiful city of Kohima. The hosts are amazing people and go out of their way to make you feel at home.They are more than eager to help you with local tips etc. The breakfast is great and so is the home cooked food available for dinner. The menu includes a wide array of local Naga delicacies, offered for a very reasonable additional cost. More than anything else, the warmth and hospitality of the guests are outstanding. The property is very well maintained. The rooms and attached bathrooms are sparkling clean and the beds are neat, clean and comfortable. The rooms are equipped with room heaters and the bathrooms with geysers for hot water. The property also offers sweeping views of the valley and the hilltop houses, especially the view at sundown from the wide open terrace adjacent to the rooms. Overall, wonderful hosts and a great place to stay in Kohima. Highly recommended!
