Vacation rentals in Yufuincho Kawakami

I was worried about my first trip to Beppu, but it was close to the train station, so I was able to travel very comfortably. I traveled at Christmas time and really appreciated the Christmas cake the host prepared for me. There were a lot of restaurants around the accommodation, so I ate out, and if you go down a little bit, it was good for shopping because it was at Tokiwa Department Store. I think it would be a good choice if you are preparing for a trip to Beppu.

His sushi is very nice and kind person. His place is very clean and structured. The onsen is very good. I had a full sleep everyday there. I would recommend anyone who is looking for the place to stay in Yufuin to choose this place. Surrounding areas is very peaceful and quiet. Walkable distance from yufuin floral village, kirin lake and also yufuin station. 💚

I was honored to be able to rent this house for a month. The host often uses it for yoga classes and retreats, so it has a beautiful yoga and meditation space that I appreciated. I was able to use the full kitchen for cooking, and the internet was excellent. There is also a nice bathroom with full bath, but the location is right in the Kannawa neighborhood, which is famous for its many hot springs establishments. After spending a few weeks in Beppu, I now realize what a privilege it was to be living in this neighborhood. In my opinion, it's the best part of Beppu! From the house, it's a short walk to the heart of Kannawa (albeit a hilly walk). The host is super friendly and proactive. As a bonus, there is a nice road bike in case you want to run errands. I even took it on a few much longer rides, as there is some nice biking along the coastline. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We purposely flew from Tokyo to Oita to make our second stay at Sakura Beach for 5 nights. It is a wonderfully private and peaceful haven directly on the water and is the only property around that has beach access. We were greeted this visit by the plum trees and daffodils in full bloom and will have to return some day when when the Sakura are blooming. Amane-san and Takashi-san are hosts without equal. They provide such a warm welcome and introduction to the house and have the house ready for your stay with great breakfast options. There is a western style bedroom and a traditional Japanese bedroom with tatami mats. We went traditional this stay and enjoyed the calming sounds of the ocean. My wife especially enjoys the large bathtub overlooking the bay. The house is in the country so you'll need a car to get around, but the area is slow paced and the driving is easy. There are nearby grocery options and restaurants as well as sightseeing opportunities.
