Cottage vacation rentals in Yorkshire

3 Railway Cottage is a fantastic base to explore the amazing beauty of North Yorkshire. The cottage is located a 20 minute walk from the centre of Pickering but is in a really quiet and private location. The only exception of course is the opportunity to wave at the heritage railway trains that pass at the back of the cottage a few times a day which is really amazing, especially if you wave from the comfort of the hot tub! I can’t recommend this location highly enough, it is a really comfortable and well equipped cottage in a fantastic location - what more could you ask for?

The cottage was cosy and clean with lots of things to keep us entertained- especially the darts board and hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked and modern and the local host was very helpful and responsive when we needed help as well. Overall I would 100% recommend and well worth the stay :)

We had a lovely stay at this property, it was remote and quiet which was perfect for a couples overnight getaway. The hot tub was the highlight and we loved how there was lights and curtains so you could stay in after dark and also have some privacy. Everywhere was clean and tidy and there was every utensil available to make dinner in the evening, tea coffee milk and biscuits were also a lovely touch, we would definitely recommend! Thank you so much ❤️

Excellent hosts home made cake lovely welcome pack was very nice touch even put candles on the cake and decorated for my birthday very helpful with local places to visit and eat rose barn was immaculate we felt right at home don’t essitate to book it’s stunning stay thankyou again

Just had the most wonderful stay at The Potting Shed. James welcomed us and made sure we had all the information we needed to be comfortable during our stay. The shed is beautifully decorated with two generous double bedrooms, 2 roomy bathrooms and a well resourced kitchen . The rural setting is idyllic, it’s not often you can watch barn owls going out to hunt from a hot tub! Would highly recommend

We had a wonderful short break in this property. The sea views are incredible from the house, hot tub and garden. We had everything we needed, along with bonus sunny weather in which to explore the local area. Thank you Lisa, a great host - this was our first Airbnb holiday and was absolutely brilliant!

The cottage is within walking distance from the train station approx 20mins walk. beautiful promenade park situated close by. cottage is peaceful with contrasting cottage core vibes with the log fire as well as modern luxury with the hot tub. The morning sun rises we're a beautiful viewing from the cottage conservetory. The location is wonderful and happy to say the local parks ornamental gardens and promenade have had a facelift lots of gardening work completed. architecture and local history and photography was the aim of my short break and I very much enjoyed it. many thanks Gemma

We stayed for a wkend and immediately felt at home. A delightful quaint little cottage, with everything we needed for our stay. Bed was comfy and so quiet at night we slept well. We wished we could have stayed longer and would definitely return.

Stayed with my two dogs and it was perfect for us. Alot bigger inside than originally thought, very cosy. Perfect location for local walks just a short drive away. Wish we could have stayed longer

Maeve was there to welcome us when we checked in and was very helpful with making sure we had everything and gave us some really good recommendations! The air b&b was lovely, clean and in such a good location to walk to castleton and hope. Also close by to a lot of great places to visit! Having the view of mam tor from the back garden was just amazing! We didn’t want for anything while we were there and we can’t wait to come back :)

An amazing property, best I’ve booked on Airbnb. Beautifully presented, extremely clean and very well stocked. You can tell the love and care that has gone into creating this rental and Julie clearly has very good taste. Everything you could possibly need - Julie has included it and she’s gone the extra mile with lovely extra touches. The cottage is well located right in the heart of Tideswell with walks and restaurants on your doorstep. If you have a dog, the boot room outside is fantastic with its warm shower and Julie even supplies dog towels and shampoo. I cannot recommend this property enough and we’ll most certainly be back!

A wonderful cottage in a fabulous location. Fizz, fresh bread and homemade jam to greet us. Lovely warm and surprisingly large cottage with a gorgeous view of the ford. Great walks straight from the door with wildlife aplenty (sadly no red squirrels but our host did point us to a hotel where we managed to see them). All in all, a cracking place to stay.

Wonderful cottage. Very well equipped kitchen. Beds were very comfortable especially the double room. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy. Extra touches such as tea and biscuits was a nice surprise. The location is right in the heart of Staithes with everything you would need within a 5 minute walk. We parked easily at bank top car park and walked to the cottage. Only suggestion would be the smaller sofa (non leather) isn’t very comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Emma's place. The secure garden was great for our dog to roam whilst we relaxed in the hot tub at the end of the day following plenty of walking around the Lakes. The cottage itself has loads of character but everything you need for your stay. We were fortunate to have the weather to make use of the gas BBQ. Emma was very welcoming and chilled with the fact we had a good run up and arrived half an hour before check-in time. Nothing was too much trouble and the fresh eggs were delicious! The cottage is just a 10 minute drive from Windermere, (20 minutes to Ambleside, 30 minutes to Grizedale forest), so whilst it's not in the throng of all us tourists, we benefited from the peace and quiet when we wanted it, but nothing was too far away. We'd also highly recommend the fish and chip shop in Staveley, just a 4 minute drive down the road. Hopefully we'll be back!

We had a fantastic stay. The cottage is lovely and spacious, with plenty of room. It was clean and well presented and the views from the back over the River - absolutely stunning! It was such a quiet and relaxing place to spend a weekend. Jeremy was responsive and a pleasure to book with. The cottage is within easy walking distance of two excellent pubs and a very nice Indian restaurant. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely loved our anniversary stay at Crumble Cottage. Was everything we needed for relaxation and more On check in, Stewart was on hand and gave us an overview of the place, surroundings and suggested great places to visit and eat. The cottage itself is approx 15min walk into the centre of Cartmel - with great places to eat and drink there We visited the Wolf Predator experience by Grange-over-Sands - it was amazing!! Really enjoyed the comfort of the cottage and the tranquility- Will definitely be back again! Thanks for having us (Heidi & Craig) ☺️

Catherine is an excellent host, great communication and keen that everything is ok, quick response to queries raised. lovely welcome touch, of milk, cereal, bread, pastries, fruit juice jam, butter and apples and a supply of tea and coffee. Lovely compact cottage with a good kitchen, with a dishwasher and microwave. peaceful and quiet, away from everything but only a short drive in to Kendal

A scheduled and stunning getaway set in beautiful and private grounds. Incredibly quiet and peaceful and the space was very large and comfortable

I had a lovely relaxing stay at The Hen House, it was perfect for my needs. Lovely dog walks on the doorstep, very friendly coffee shop (Dog loved her free sausage). Would definitely recommend The Hen House if you’re looking to get away and recharge your batteries, very dog friendly.

Nice and quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and people. Just a short 10 minute drive to knutsford and close to the motorway which suited my needs.

Zeta's place was so peaceful, with beautiful surroundings. We really relaxed and the break did us good, after a difficult time. We loved the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Zeta was friendly and very helpful. A lovely place. We will return again in the warmer weather.

Lovely cottage on a private farm. Easy to get in, minor problem on arrival which was quickly solved even though late at night. Lovely weekend.
