Vacation rentals with a patio in Witsand

We planned a riverside getaway with some friends and a boat. House has a lovely deck overlooking the river and floating jetty- we spend many hours there. The house itself is really well suited for a family. It has ample outdoor furniture and deck space to enjoy. The Nespresso machine was a treat. The area is safe and quiet, neighbours are close, but never felt intrusive. The house has access to a well kept slipway- launching a smallish boat with a 4x4 was pretty straight forward. Reaching the house with a 2x4 is possible, but would recommend using a 4x4.

We had high expectations, and this place exceeded them. The garden was amazing, as advertised - pristine, lush grass, incredible mountain backdrop. We could walk out our front door and connect to one of many local trails, or drive less than 1km to the nature reserve. The pool was refreshing on a hot day. My daughter loved all the old children’s books. We were even invited to feed the horse and donkey next door - a big highlight for my kids! The town of Greyton is also lovely, lots of nice spots to eat and shop. We loved it and hope to come back.

The Pecan Tree Cottage is a wonderful place that offers many opportunities to relax and recharge your batteries, but it is also the perfect starting point for all kinds of activities. The cottage enjoys a wonderful location and offers numerous amenities, offers plenty of space and comfort. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. From the moment we booked, Philip provided so much detailed information about the area and so many suggestions for stops on the way to Montagu that we could have easily spent two weeks in the Montagu area. We only spent two days there, but they left us with many wonderful memories and the desire to come back. In that case, we would definitely book The Pecan Tree Cottage again. Not least because of our two excellent hosts, Sheryl and Philip. They made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and pampered us (not only with the sensational treats in the fridge). Thank you for having us.

Amazing place very quiet area and peaceful and the host made sure to check in that everything was okay

We spent the night at Daryl's place during our out and back hike from McGregor. Daryl was a great host, friendly and helpful. The cottage was clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back.

What an amazing experience! Our family of four loved our stay, we will definitely visit this gem again. The unit had everything we needed, and the views of the Breede River is just magical.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Sandy Bottom in the Langezandt Fishermen’s Village. Vincent was a responsive host, very accommodating and provided clear instructions. The house was beautiful and tastefully decorated bringing out the fisherman cottage feel. Each room had its own ensuite shower room in addition to the family bathroom. The kitchen was our “kuier” spot, with nice comfortable chairs, a dishwasher and washing machine. There’s also an outside “stoep” area with beautiful fairy lights for the evenings. We brought our two dogs with and the large, enclosed yard was amazing. We felt safe and secure at all times. Wish we could have stayed for longer.

Greg & Sam, are amazing hosts. They let me know which dirt roads are the best for travel and kept me up to date with information about the area. As a keen hiker, I was invited to hike with them in Rooiberg Mountains and experience its pristine beauty, which is food of the soul. Thank you for the generosity of sharing veggies from your garden, and gift of staying at the Happy Place!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The host and owner were both very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and comfortable, and had everything you would need for your stay. We worked remotely from here and the setup was perfect. It was very accessible to the lagoon for kitesurfing. Also had a nice big area for washing kiting gear.
