A beautiful house in the most peaceful surroundings but five minutes drive from all amenities. The house is extremely spacious with high quality beds and bedding plus standout baths, making the stay feel really luxurious. There was no clutter and the house was spotless - a real home away from home for those visiting central Scotland. It was a memorable stay and we would have happily stayed longer!

The Bridge House was an AMAZING place to stay. We had a large group, and the accommodations were perfect for us! The house is a beautifully restored home, the surrounding countryside is jaw-dropping gorgeous, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly! I could not recommend this place more highly! Our stay was far beyond what I expected, in an incredible way!

Everything we could have needed and many luxury extras and treats. Super comfy beds. Really handy location with a lovely selection of local businesses and easy (driving) access to train service to Edinburgh. Spectacular view of the bridges.

We had an amazing stay at David’s house for 2 days. The location was perfect for our trip and the house was very clean and comfortable.

Great house, perfect for a hen party. Everything we needed, pool and hot tub were great although we couldn’t get many bubbles in the hot tub. Other than that tiny thing, we had a great stay and would stay again

Considering how important this building is historically it’s amazing that they let people stay overnight and cook in there! It’s very peaceful except on two evenings a group led by a reenactor were rather enthusiastic beneath the window! Only lasted ten minutes and it wasn’t later than 8.30pm. The bathroom gets rather chilly after 11pm when the heating goes off! A minor inconvenience and there is a real gas fire in the bedroom!

We loved this apartment. It was warm, cosy, comfortable and very colourful. It was perfect for us, we felt right at home there. Ross had left for us things that make a living space a home. Toiletries, condiments etc. he was there when we arrived and had taken our shopping delivery in. He is kind and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed for a great stay, including local restaurants etc

We had an excellent stay at Martin's townhouse in Edinburgh. Supremely well located in the New Town with a stunning morning view of Calton Hill. It was a lovely warm home, and very convenient for our group for a few days stay in Edinburgh. Great transport links and only a few mins walk from everything including supermarkets. Martin went above and beyond when we ran into a little issue. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This was a great apartment in a centrally located area. The apartment was as described and the hosts were flexible with check-in times. Susie & Amit were very friendly and even dropped off a few baked goods for us to enjoy. Overall, we had a great time in Edinburgh and I would recommend this place to all interested parties.

We had a fabulous time, Gareth was a really friendly guy we arrived early and he let us drop our bags off and get in early which was so helpful so we could get on with our day. The flat is in a great location easy for walking around the city. The flat was clean and cosy and we would definitely stay again and recommend to our friends.

Absolutely fantastic stay at Ross’s place. Extremely comfortable, and fantastic location.

This place is wonderful! A little hard to locate initially (entrance is on the Royal Mile between the Heritage of Scotland store, Google maps takes you to the back of the building.) But once located, it is lovely! Clean, cozy, well appointed and right in the middle of all the local attractions. The fireplace is wonderful, the beds are comfortable, shower is good. Would definitely stay again!

We liked everything, the price is good

we have just left Howford house after a lovely 3 night weekend stay to celebrate my husbands 40th. we were a family of 14 adults, 2 children and a newborn baby and we had the most peaceful comfortable stay. the house is fantastic, it has everything you need and the location although super private and peaceful, it was near restaurants, the coop supermarket, Traquair House and land which we got discounted because we were house guests, and lots of walks and hikes. the surrounding acres were stunning with the frost and autumn leaves. we all loved our stay, the kids (and the adults) didn't want to leave. special thanks to Elaine the housekeeper who was brilliant with her communication and help. we will recommend and be back in the future.

Great location and it was easy to get to town centre as there is bus stop around the corner. Bedroom was spacious and the bathroom was very clean. Suzanne recommended some great cafes and restaurants

This house was exactly as advertised. Spacious and beautiful. Perfect for two families. Check in was easy and Jacki was very responsive.
