I needed a home away from home to base my cooking & baking help for Hurricane Helene recovery, and this cozy little cabin was just perfect. The setting and drive was beautiful, the neighborhood doggies were friendly, and the accommodations were comfortable and clean. My family joined me for the last few days of my nearly month-long stay, so it was tight for all of us, but definitely do-able. I appreciated the quick communication on my questions, and proactive care with an incoming winter storm. Would definitely stay again!

This place was absolutely beautiful, Mary Kay and Clark were very helpful with helping us find places to visit or eat, even with simple requests they were able to help. The view from the house was breathtaking, even walking along the river was fun! Definitely would love to see this place is a warmer weather! Very accurate to the description in the listing! Very kind and helpful host, this place is a must!

I stayed here with my family of 4 and our dog. We absolutely loved the cabin! The location and aesthetic of it was exactly everything we were looking for. Arion & Wendy we’re very accommodating and responded back in a timely manner. The cabin is just how it looks! It’s a nice getaway from the city! We’d love to come here again for sure!

A nice small cabin that sleeps quite a bit if need be, lots of outdoor activities to do, whilst the area is still recovering from the floods earlier some places aren’t as easily accessible but not much you can do about Mother Nature. Loved the movie selections they have laid out reminded me of my childhood going to blockbuster and picking out a family movie to watch (we watched the LOTR trilogy) easily laid out instructions for everything in the cabin and would definitely stay again come lookin for the opportunity.

The Grove is absolutely beautiful. perfectly secluded for a winter getaway. It was warm and inviting with views and wildlife around the cabin. Scott kept us updated with weather and a power outage before we arrived.

I chose this cabin specifically to celebrate my mother’s birthday, just one week to the day before the WNC floods. She was just awe struck the whole weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect! Nestled beside a tranquil brook, this cozy cabin is the perfect retreat for those looking to unplug and unwind… or use as a home base as you see all the sights around it! Surrounded by lush greenery, it offers a serene escape with the soothing sound of running water that beckons you to relax. It has two patios overlooking the beautiful river below so you can sit and enjoy. The cabin's rustic charm is complemented by modern amenities, making it a seamless blend of comfort and nature. This hidden gem is a sanctuary of peace! The only con I can imagine is the master bathroom is very petite, but there is a second, larger bathroom.

The airstream was the perfect getaway. A ton of privacy while still only being about 15 min from everything we wanted to do in Boone. The heated floors are such a bonus and made it so cozy. The sauna and hot tub were also huge perks. We’re already considering a second trip! Nicole was also super helpful and readily available with any questions or concerns we had. :)

Overall, a cozy warm cabin with decor that felt welcoming and comfortable. Bed was comfortable-a major issue for us. Everything was super clean A couple of issues, but Robert and Janelle responded quickly and did their best to help. Perfect for a couple. Deer ran through the yard.😊 Even with the snow, the heaters worked well and were easy to control.

After settling home from our trip to sugar grove NC it is time to write a review. Our stay on the property was outstanding! It is the perfect remote location to relax and unwind whether you’re traveling solo, as a family or a couple. Our stay in the airstream was top notch with an immaculate view of the stars from the hot tub every night and plenty to do on the property during the day. We loved looking at the art throughout the woods and going on walks during the day and at dusk. As two childless adults we had a blast on the water slide and feeding the animals, as well as visiting the town of Boone for shopping and “trashcan falls” right up the road. The only pointer id give to the next guest is to bring a few tupperware containers if you decide to cook so that you can save what is leftover. Other than that the airstream was equipped with everything we needed and then some! I will highly recommend a stay on magic mountain and look forward to visiting again.

First and foremost, the host responded promptly to all of my inquiries before and during rental dates! The rental, itself, is a whole lot of extras in a little bit of space! Absolutely perfect for a Christmas getaway for me and my husband. It is all that the description states and the pictures portray. As noted, the driveway can be tricky, but presented no issue for us considering that my husband has a 4x4 and a great wife that stands in the cold and directs him (haha). Also, if the second bedroom is needed, the stairs are narrow and steep; yet manageable! Overall, it’s in a great location! It’s close to many things but private enough to not realize it!

Kirsten's cabin was cozy and clean. The host was extremely helpful and very responsive. We stayed with our 15m child which I would not recommend for this home (no crib space, lots of beautiful breakable artwork), but I would 10/10 come back for an adult only trip. The cabin was halfway between downtown and the skiing locations.

Loved staying at the house. Not a secluded location so if you are looking for privacy and quiet, this won’t allow for that. However , we stayed during a non busy weekday so it was nice.

The birdhouse was very peaceful with beautiful views. It was exactly what my wife and I were looking for. The hosts (Juliet, Matt and Mandy) are very responsive and will make sure your stay is exactly what you are looking for. I highly recommend this place for any couples looking to have some peaceful time together with plenty of activities to have fun together in the area.

Diane‘s place was such a welcome vacation. She was communicative and helpful from the start and even went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. The tiny home is immaculate, and very comfortable. You’re surrounded by nature and the location is private. Every detail has been thought out and has great amenities. We enjoyed the backyard deck, the fire pit, and the hot tub is amazing. There are also lots of lovely treats, like hot cocoa and s’mores kits for you to enjoy. The bathroom has extras like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hairdryer, which was great. The loft was surprisingly comfortable and not hard to get up to. The bed and linens were perfect and the mattress was extremely comfortable. Our host was very helpful if we needed her and it’s obvious she takes pride in her listings. This Airbnb is a great spot and it would be hard not to relax there. It is very close to Boone and easy to get to App State. We will definitely be coming back.

This was the perfect space to relax and rewind. The private balcony, cozy fireplace, and view of the mountain made us want to stay forever. Eric was extremely helpful and friendly. He responded asap - couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Beautiful, cozy cottage with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Buck greeted me and let me know a few things about the historic one room cabin. Easy access to Boone and Blowing Rock. Loved, loved, loved!!

Cozy space, with great amenities and extremely clean. I would recommend a vehicle with four-wheel-drive to get up to the cottage, but worth every penny once you get there.

We really enjoyed our stay. We planned a ski trip to Beech mountain and it was only about a quarter mile from driveway to parking lot of the resort. There was everything we needed nearby like restaurants, a coffee shop, and a grocery store. The house was clean and the views from the back porch were beautiful. We also brought our dog and we appreciate any trip that can include him too. We will definitely be staying again!

We loved our stay!! Perfect location and beautiful view. The fireplace wasn’t working and she sent out someone to look at it super quick and when it was unable to be fixed during our stay, provided us some money back on our stay. Couldn’t have loved it more!

Such a cute space! Not as tiny as I thought it would be! Plenty of room, and super cozy. I love all the little details! My best friend and I stayed a night to enjoy some snow tubing on Saturday morning at Hawks Nest. It was only 15 minutes away from the house. There is a convenient store right across the street to pick up whatever you might have forgotten. Thank you, Shelly for hosting us! We love your place!
