Vacation rentals with beach access in Waipu

If you are looking to stay in a beautiful home with spectacular views, you have just found the place! As soon as we arrived, Lynne greeted us with a big smile and a bouquet of fresh picked flowers. She was so warm and welcoming along with little dog Lexie, who was so friendly. Lynne’s place is very spacious, clean and tidy. The rooms are tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture. The bedding and linens were also top notch. The kitchenette was surprisingly stocked with fresh fruit, home made muffins, milk, water, cheese and crackers….and even a very nice bottle of wine! We stayed for two nights and enjoyed eating many of our meals on the deck, which overlooks the beach, which is less than a five minute walk away! Lynne’s small touches made our stay so relaxing that we hope to return again next year!

We so loved our time here. The view from the property is amazing and so close to the main beach that we love. We enjoyed swimming at Picnic Bay which is but a few steps from the accomodation. Everything we needed was there. Paul was so helpful and friendly. We cannot wait to return.

Lovely stay, highly recommend Lil's place. The location is awesome, so relaxing, comfortable bed, everything you need for a great stay is provided, love there is a full size fridge, BBQ, washing machine and dryer amongst other essentials. Lil is very helpful and there is plenty of information about walks, where to go and what to see. Being able to walk across the road to the water each day was a bonus and the views from the unit are forever changing as the tides come and go and the sun rises and sets. Some days there are cattle next door at the fence. I highly recommend staying and will return in the near future.

Leanne was a wonderful host; excellent with communication and very helpful. The accomodation has a stunning view and is beautifully kept - comfortable, clean and just right for our stay (a two-nighter). The location was excellent; close to the city which has wonderful restaurants - of note The Quay. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely stay here and the views are amazing as you have the choice of making dinner on the barbecue, and enjoy the restful and peaceful surroundings and el fresco dining:-) Easy to stroll down and walk along the beach also.

We had friends around the corner in Torbay. Browns Bay is bigger and only a short (steep) walk down. The Bark and Brew was our fave coffee place. I swam the bay every day. Safe beech. Spacious accommodation with a proper lounge and separate bedroom. Great bed. I think the telly is Sky but we never turned it on! Good wifi. Loads of stuff in the kitchen. It’s all just great!

This was a return visit to Julies as we love the area, the property and our own space. Once again we enjoyed our stay, with well stocked kitchen, super clean, and lovely touches with fresh flowers etc. We will be back.

Lisa was so lovely, and we loved staying at her place. It was even better than the photos! An amazing kitchen for cooking, a pool, a spa, and spacious comfortable areas throughout made for the perfect getaway. Lisa was super friendly and helpful throughout, we would absolutely stay here again.

House was close to everything and Julie was extremely helpful. Would definately book again.

We had such a great time at Chloe and Ben's. It was clean and spacious, 1 min walk (if that) to the estuary and five minutes to the lovely surf beach so you could visit several times a day. It didn't need to be a big complicated affair as it was so easy to nip back to the house for food etc. The shower was awesome - very strong pressure. Everything was provided - linen, blankets, pillows, glasses, cutlery etc and all in great condition - and the kitchen was well equipped, including dishwasher and lots of good pans. Loved that we could eat outside on the deck, there was a fenced yard for the dog to run (he was in heaven), plus a trampoline, barbecue and fire pit. The view from the deck was stunning, and the overall vibe of the place was so friendly - from other holidaymakers with kids to the people working at the campsite. Would definitely book again.

This is a great spot in Orewa. A gorgeous upstairs patio/balcony off the living room has an uplifting view with the sun all day and the sunset. The house is on two levels - spacious and well-stocked. Amanda is super-friendly - and she gave us lots of good local recommendations - and responsive. The beach is a short walk, and Orewa town is a bit further, so we drove most days - 5 minutes max by car. Highly recommend.

Amazing host, great communication and super clean and tidy house.

This is the most outstanding home we’ve ever stayed in and we’ve stayed in a lot of amazing homes. The well thought out design, perfectly equipped house (kitchen to joyfully cook meals, luxurious linens, extras for beach visits, really absolutely everything you’d want), and a gorgeous interior. The house is situated perfectly with privacy from the unit next door. The whole backside of the home is glass with giant sliders to open, catch the breeze and watch the ocean. The moonrise over the ocean and the sunrise over the ocean from bed is the cherry on top. This peaceful quiet space is number one on our list! Reserve it!

I think this was a fairly priced accomodation with straight forward advice for easy enough entry. I’m very thankful for our visit

It was a lovely relaxing spot to spend a week in a rural setting with sea views out to the Poor Knights islands. A large property, accessed off a private road so very secluded and peaceful. Handy location half way between Matapouri Bay and Tutukaka, although you do need a car to go anywhere. Kitchen was very well equipped including basic supplies. Access to an indoor swimming pool, ability to charge the EV, and use of the laundry was a bonus. The hosts were very welcoming on arrival and explained the facilities and beach access path. Special touches were a bottle of wine and locally made nut brittle on arrival, and acknowledgement of our wedding anniversary which was during our stay. Annette and Bianca were super helpful and responded promptly to any questions.

We had a wonderful 3 days stay at Vicki's house. Spotlessly clean, comfy bed and lounge. Kitchen had everything you need. Vicki was great to deal with, so lovely and helpful. awesome views, very private. Would highly recommended Vicki's place. Kind Regards Mike and Shaz WA

Darren & Sarah are wonderful and the location could not be better!

We loved staying here! We were able to communicate with the hosts with ease. The Airbnb is within walking distance of restaurants, grocery stores and everything in between. Irene is really accomodating and had come down to check on us to see if we needed anything which was nice. The facilities were great. Personally, the pictures don’t do the property justice! We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious and homely it was. Most definitely would stay here again if I’m in the area next time😊

Loved how child friendly the accomodation was with all the things you’d need for a baby. So grateful to use the car charger too. Crystal was a great host as well!
