Let’s start with the fact that the staff are incredible. Esperanza is a gift to this world, she was incredible and very sweet. She was an incredible cook and made us feel right at home. Fidel was very helpful and checked in each morning. He was always ready to support us with any questions or needs. The rest of the staff were fabulous! The house was wonderful and had everything we needed. Not my first time in PV, and this house was my favorite spot. Everything is walkable just be ready for the stairs! Proper hiking shoes to make it up and down the hill! We had massages and facials in the house which was perfect to provide us what we needed to relax. Breakfast each morning is highly morning! The food was 10/10! We rented a car and Ubered for smaller groups to get around, loved this spot.

The place is wonderful for a few relaxing days with excellent ocean views, very different from most hotels that the ocean view is distant here you are relatively glued to the sea. The apartment is super spacious as shown in the images and we find it very clean. The pool area was very clean and always available. We would definitely stay in this place again. The only problem we had was to find the location as there is not a very good signal but as soon as we had the response from the Hosts it was immediate. Highly recommended to enjoy a good vacation and very central and close to beautiful beaches.

This is an amazing place to stay right in the middle of the most vibrant area of Vallarta. All the best restaurants, shops, the beach, water taxis, cafes are within a 2-3 minute walk, and although you are in the heart of the "party" you could hear a pin drop inside of the apartment. Incredible rooftop pool and view, and everything you need for a quick stay or even a 2 week vacation.

What an amazing property! It was great to have the bedrooms and space needed for our group. The property looked just like the pictures. Pros -Private pool (can be heated) -Full kitchen -Beautiful, local decor -Friendly staff -Excellent host -Multiple rooms / beds. Lots of space to spread out Cons -Lots of stairs. This was not a deal breaker for our group, but may be difficult for some -Need an uber for most activities, but easy to get and a short 5-10 min drive to everything I would absolutely stay at this property again!

Absolutely stunning place. It's a perfect getaway I 100% recommend this place. The staff were all very helpful checking was easy they come and greet you. The pool the beach everything is amazing. Not overcrowded either just perfect. Perfect getway regardless if you're single, with family or just you're partner. The sunsets from this place are incredible.

This was my second time staying here, so that should let you know I loved it! My friend and I like having separate bedrooms. We really love the large patio, with hammock and sitting area. The rooftop lounge area is also wonderful, with a view. It’s a short walk to restaurants etc one way and to the beach the other way. Highly recommend!

Michael was an amazing host, providing us with many recommendations and suggestions around the area. The included pickup from the airport was a lifesaver, and there were also several amenities that were provided that are not even on the listing. Michael provided us with drinking water and ice, which saved us many grocery trips as we were a big group. The home itself was immaculate, exactly as described in the listing. Everything was very clean and felt comfortable, with all necessities provided (towels, toilet paper, cooking utensils, cutlery, etc). I would certainly recommend Casa Mateo to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta. The view is absolutely breathtaking from either floor of the house. Thank you Michael!!
