Waterfront vacation rentals in Vila Verde

Extremely welcoming host with a lot of kind attention to us (flowers, fruits, etc.). Communication facilitated because she speaks French very well as several other languages. Very flexible on schedules and giving good recommendations. Accommodation with a peaceful exposed stone setting with a fireplace (very nice in February). Both bathrooms are convenient for a family. Very good location for sightseeing. Complicated access because steep roads but reward at check-in.

I loved the cottage; it was quaint, clean and private with lots of friendly cats who welcomed us. The only real issue I had was the bed was very hard. Maybe a mattress topper? Marie is outstanding as a hostess.

if you are in ponte de lima this is the best place to stay. a beautiful apartment with amazing views. clean and very well equiped. we wad a wonderful and comfortable stay. if you ever considered owning an airbnb, you should learn from agostinho how to do it right. we will definitly return!

Unfortunately there were only 2 nights, house and location 5*.. Mr. Antonio was spectacular with us making it easy at check in/check out leaving us completely at will, D. Olivia e o Sr. Secundino were impeccable with us making us feel like we were part of the family, some loves we came with a full heart and very eager to return soon but this time with more time because Gerês is beautiful and mt was left to explore.. until soon and mt thank you for all kindness and availability 🥰

We stayed 4 nights in the apartment and it more than covers all expectations. Very quiet place (with restaurants on the same street) and close to Peneda-Gerês National Park Carlos and Alía are always very attentive to answer any questions

Cozy and well located place to experience Gerês. The apartment was very clean. Only thing we missed are a little more kitchen appliances.

We have already stayed on several occasions in this apartment and it was always perfect.

We had a lovely stay in the house, located in a peaceful area with beautiful views. The house is comfortable and has everything you need. The host Pedro was very welcoming and friendly.

Great for a family, we had a wonderful weekend. Nice to have 3 full bathrooms, never a wait even with many adults getting ready! Beautiful view of the river, bridges, landscape of the area. Super convenient with good restaurants and a supermarket in walking distance. Would love to stay here again on our next vacation to Gerês.

Five stars to Casa de Cardido and to Rui and Alexandra for being wonderful hosts. We were a little late checking in, but Rui greeted us with a smile and a very generous tabua of local cheeses and meats. The hosts go above anything expected, with a sound system at the pool, exercise equipment, and fresh bread delivered daily. The house is a traditional Portuguese home - and it feels like a “home” not a rental. We spent two weeks here and it felt like staying with family. I noticed that one review commented on how close the highway is. Please know this is not a problem. You can see the highway when approaching the home from the road, but you cannot hear it and it does not interfere with the experience. This is very high quality stay with caring and involved hosts that will make sure you have all you need. I highly recommend.

We loved our short stay at Cesar’s mill house. The house was just as described, very cosy and quiet. We loved being surrounded by the small waterfall and stream. Felt like a fairy tale house.

Nice quiet place. It’s a suite in the bottom floor of their house. The interior of it and the patio area felt a bit like a peaceful oasis. In terms of location, you will probably need a car to get there and to get to anything (there is quite a bit to do within 15-30 minutes of driving). It’s not especially walkable. There is a little cafe and a small grocery store just up the street, which was great for evening snack runs :) They are very friendly people and clearly put a lot of effort into making their space welcoming 💜

The space is very good, provided exactly what we wanted, a good family break. The house has all the conditions and is very well equipped with everything we need. Pool is spectacular. The host and wife are very friendly and available people. We liked everything.
