Why not bring your bikes to explore the surrounding area. Dog friendly None of our B&Bs have WiFi TV only plays DVDs. We supply 1 bucket of firewood. Charcoal/extra wood must be brought by guests. It is a short walk from your vehicle, so not suitable for people with mobility issues. There is parking for 2 Cars.

1750's cottage with open fire and beams

Take it easy at this unique and cosy cottage with a real open fire and original beams. The cottage was constructed in approximately 1750 during the reign of George II. The cottage is constructed from wood and stone and there is not a straight wall, ceiling or door casing in the house! You learn very fast (after banging your head once or twice) to duck under the low door frames and beams. The cottage is small, quirky and very cosy but with a suprisingly large master bedroom and bathroom.

As you approach the hobbit house you'll be greeted by a charming small green door hidden within a developing garden. Complete with a stream and weir and fragrant herbs in the summer. Step inside and you'll find yourself in a cozy and inviting space, filled with natural light and earthy tones. We converted the Old Piggery 20 years ago, and have recently done a full refurbishment. It now has a cosy snug with sofa as well as a lounge with far-reaching views. There is an ensuite bathroom and downstairs, a shower and toilet. The bedroom is on a mezzanine floor with a king-sized, chunky farmhouse bed with an extremely comfortable mattress. The lounge area has a Laura Ashley sofa and snuggle chair positioned to take in a far-reaching views and 43 inch TV if you prefer!
