Our stay at the fifth Amaro was to remember. This is a very special fifth located in downtown Angra. When you arrive at the door, you can't imagine the oasis inside, a cottage full of banana trees and other fruit trees. The house is rural and simple, but nice. Our room was a little small and the kitchen was not fully equipped (for example, the toaster was not working, there was no coffee maker, or a few pans), but the place and its hosts, Maria Serafina and her husband João, make the experience worthwhile. Maria Serafina is a very close and open woman. She welcomed us with a delicious maracuyá pudding. Also the first day her husband João gave us a guided tour of the cottage explaining all the trees they have and stocked us with bananas and tomatoes throughout the stay. She's always been very attentive to us. They are very close people and we share many afternoons to chat with them. It has been a great blessing to meet Terceira staying in this villa with Maria Serafina and her whole family. If you are staying in 5th Amaro, a 100% local experience awaits you with a wonderful Azorean family. We are very grateful:)

We love the stay! The place is nice and was clean and tidy. Communication with the hostess was always impeccable! The location is quite central and it is possible to walk around Angra de Heroísmo.

We very much enjoyed our stay. We traveled for the Sanjoaninas celebration and had a number of questions and concerns. Ms. Eliana thoroughly and promptly addressed all questions and concerns. The apartment was very clean... we were also concerned about noise. However, the apartment was very quite, even though it is closely located to a number of activities. I would have liked to see darker shades on the windows... and we also suggest advising neighbors in the same complete to turn off their outdoor lights. Other than this, it was a wonderful staty.

Very cozy and convenient location! Maria is friendly, helpful and available for a nice chat or for any questions. I enjoyed my stay and was within walking distance to two pools for some excellent swimming. I would recommend this location if you’d like more of a local type of experience in Terceira , which is very charming.

We had a wonderful stay at Carmo’s Adega do Porto. It was such a charming home with an old world feel in a beautiful location. It’s a short walk to the pools and we walked to the Biscoitos pools daily to swim. You really can’t beat the views and the area for your stay. Francisco and Carmo were very welcoming and a great hosts during our stay. The Adega felt like home after spending three weeks there. We were there during the cultural festival so we had access to entertainment and food daily for one of the weeks we were there. We definitely recommend the Adega for its location to the water and walking distance to the pools to swim and for its lovely hosts. We can’t wait until our next visit. Adega do Porto will always hold a special place in our hearts❤️

Great find. Jose and Luisa were very responsive and helpful. The house was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay here immensely and Jose was friendly and had lots of suggestions for local restaurants and activities. I would highly recommend any group to stay here.

Vitor was a great host. Very responsive and provided great local information in his welcome book. He also left us some local treats for our arrival which was such a sweet touch. Great home, lovely kitchen and the wine barrel shower was truly a delight. Its not right in the main part of town which made it nice and quiet and peaceful but not a very long walk to get everywhere by foot. Would highly recommend staying here!

What a nice surprise! The accommodation is very well equipped and tastefully decorated, very comfortable. I particularly liked the vine on the terrace (excellent grape) and the big TV screen. I was alone in the space, but frankly, between the two double beds and the two sofas, you can stay there for 6. 2 couples and 2 children, for example. I still struggled to find the place, my GPS didn't recognize the street name, and the listing agent providing me with unclear instructions, but all this was forgotten once I was in it. Oh yes, the beach is right next door and it was not at all busy and the water is almost hot!

Cory is such a friendly and helpful host. We immediately felt welcomed and at home. The house is spacious, bright, clean and cozy. We really enjoyed our stay-the location near the gardens is perfect for exploring Angra.
