A Perfect Family Getaway at the Buzzard Yurt Our recent stay at the Buzzard Yurt was nothing short of fantastic! My wife, two children, and two dogs had a wonderful time in this beautiful location. The yurt itself was incredibly comfortable and well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need for a cozy stay. The attention to detail was impressive, and it’s clear that the hosts have thought of everything to make guests feel at home. The facilities were top-notch, with the showers being particularly fab – a real treat after a day of exploring the stunning surroundings. The setting is both peaceful and picturesque, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing break. A special mention must go to the hosts, who went above and beyond to accommodate us. I had an interview scheduled during our stay, and they kindly allowed me to use the office in their house, which was a huge help. Their hospitality truly made our stay even more enjoy

We had a lovely stay in Willow yurt, as a family of four. The yurt and the site facilities are excellent. We loved the open space around the yurt and really appreciated the dedicated fridge and bathroom facilities in the barn. The evening bat walk with Katie was an added bonus which we all enjoyed.

Great place to stay. as said above what 3 words for some of the directions could help when travelling in the dark. what a place when we found it though. hosts had the wood burner toastie for our arrival. would deffo stay again

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Mongolian yurt. We had a 2 year old who just loved being able to run around and visit the Alpacas and goats, as well as being visited by Noodle the dog who was also a big hit! Nick and Tracy had thought of everything in the yurt as well as in the kitchen, toilet and bathrooms. We were lovely and warm and enjoyed cooking and eating in the outside space! Thank you both!

Had a fantastic stay at the yurt. Wendy and Larry were wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. Its a beautiful location, secluded and immersed in nature. Some highlights were seeing a mole trying to find a way back in to the earth, incredible dragon flies and a breathtaking clear starry nights! The kids had the best time, and were able to be free to roam which they loved. Thanks so much, would highly reccomend.

A lovely slice of heaven. The perfect location for time away from the hustle and bustle of life. The kids loved it and my daughter and her friend especially loved the treehouse. Plenty of space to run around and be free. We booked both yurts and it was great having the space to ourselves. We did the hot tub experience too which was amazing. Hosts were fabulous. So lovely living off grid but having everything you need! 100% recommend.

our llittle family get away, last minute was amazing Phil and sera are amazing hosts from start to finish, nothing was every to much. The beds are so comfortable 😀 I need to know where the double bed mattress is from.🫠 would definitely be back. thank you from the Roberts

What a place this is. I always spend a while on air b&b trying to find somewhere good to stay at a reasonable price…. This surpasses that! The yurts are way bigger than expected, the communal area is awesome and has everything you need, shower room is great. The kids absolutely loved every minute of it, we had some real, money can’t buy quality family time. (Amazing what 2 days of no screens can do!) We will , 110% be back for a longer stay again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The yurts are gorgeous. A really great step up from camping and much more affordable than a holiday cottage. The wood burning stove was lovely in the evening to warm the yurt up and made it feel so homely, along with the cosy decor and the fairy lights! The compost loos do need a bit of getting used to. The shower was always hot and the yurt campers only kitchen area was clean and functional. Destination is remote. We were going to take public transport to get there but having a car there was really needed if you’re going with kids.

A real gem in South Devon. Such an interesting and beautiful site within walking distance of a wonderful beach and the small foot passenger ferry over to Salcombe. The yurt stay was magical and the convenience and relative luxury of the fully kitted-out kitchen cabin really made the glamping experience. We are seasoned campers but wanted glamping to mark a birthday weekend - and this really delivered. It’s clear Cat has put a lot of effort and passion into High Nature; the privacy of each yurt area and yet the community feel of the site as a whole is expertly curated.

Excellent mini break in a Yurt for a family of camping novices. 2 adults and 2 kids under 10 were well accommodated. We had fun to switch off from gadgets and tv and immerse ourselves in nature. Fresh sweetest plums and eggs every morning laid by friendly hens. The kids really loved it. Ellie and Ian are good hosts and we enjoyed a glass of wine with them in their beautiful main house. Good access to towns and beaches in South Hams. Happy to recommend and especially for star gazers the Yurt is in a dark spot to spot the Milky Way.

We stayed in one of the Earth which was absolutely lush. Plenty of space, a big wood burner, a very comfy bed, armchairs, quiet and peaceful and a short walk to Devon is best beaches.

Cats yurt ‘Bluebell’ was lovely. It was clean and spacious with a beautiful log burner. Such and wonderful place to stay - half way to camping without having to pitch a tent or sleep on an air bed! The outdoor camp kitchen was fabulous and we managed to do our cooking and morning coffee on the gas hobs here. The kids loved it and spent time on the trampoline and in the kids play area inside a poly tunnel - such a great idea! I was able to get wifi near the reception to send a work email so thank you Cat! I highly recommend and would have loved to stay longer.

Will return to this gem of a place, probably in the spring. It’s a unique experience that was lovely and private and peaceful. A decent size space inside the yurt with everything you need. Lovely showers,and handy kitchen area just a few steps from the yurt. Perfect, lovely hosts. Look forward to returning!

We have stayed here twice now and find it a perfect peaceful getaway spot. Well thought out facilities for those up for an off grid experience in a wonderful setting. Washing facilities are limited to a bucket and fresh water but I found that fine when in your own private field adding to the immersion into nature experience. The yurt is well thought out and comfortable.

We managed to book Badger Yurt , for a late summer holiday. We have never stayed in a Yurt before but we were supplied perfect information by Katie on what to expect and what we would need to bring with us so were well prepared in advance! Our arrival was made very easy by well written directions and instruction and I have to say WOW ! What an amazing setting, nestled in the countryside it’s such a beautiful and quiet place, the yurts are clean, tidy and very cosy and comfortable. The facilities are amazing, not only do you have your own compost toilet, fire pit, kitchen and BBQ. But you can also make the most of the very cosy and fully equipped barn which provides comfy sofas and kitchen, with hot showers and a toilet for each yurt just next door. All of this is well maintained and clean. Outside the yurts is so peaceful and beautiful, with a huge and safe open space for children to run and play. And the stars at night are amazing ! Will definitely be coming back thank you !

This was our second stay in the yurts and we had an amazing time again. The updates to the site were really appreciated (wooden doors on the yurts made the sleeping areas warmer over night and the gas powered fridge made it easier to store food and drink). There was always instant hot water in the bathroom. The site is peaceful and there is a lot of space for children and dogs to have fun. Thank you again for a lovely weekend.
