What a peaceful place to be - we didn’t want to leave. We had a wonderful time here with whānau from Germany and our 16 months old toddler. We all loved it, so much space to run around, so much time to watch the waves crushing in, go for walks along the beach or read books. Or have a snooze on one of the comfy beds. It’s a simple typical Kiwi bach that has everything you’d possibly need to create the most beautiful memories. Thank you for having us. We hope to be back.

Bill and Jan are hospitable hosts who made us feel welcome and left lovely home baking and fresh flowers for our arrival and plenty of food for breakfast. A very interesting place to stay. Quite unique. However, it is an historic building so the furniture and decor is old fashioned and cluttered. Feels a bit like a museum or your great granny’s house, which maybe what you’re after. Decent showers but the bathrooms are straight out of the 50s, as is the kitchen and food prep area. Having said that, there is a good fridge/freezer. There is some early morning traffic noise as the Post Office is on SH 35.

We loved our stay in Tim's paradise! The studio is beautiful and well equipped. The garden-views and sounds of birds were amazing. It's a peaceful place. We enjoyed our trips to Oniwa Harbour, Ohope Beach, Hukutaia Domain and on the East Coast Highway very much. Best airbnb ever!

Wonderful place to stay with lovely host, delicious fresh baked bread for breakfast, very comfortable accommodation with everything you would need. Thank you for chatting with us and showing us round your bountiful property. We loved seeing the chickens roost in the trees, feeding them our scraps and enjoying their eggs!

We had a splendid time at Hayley's lovely spot. It is the perfect place to relax in a quiet and beautiful part of Aotearoa. The horses were friendly (particularly the white one!) Hayley is an excellent host; friendly, knowledgeable and a good communicator, we couldn't have been happier with our stay.

Cute little cottage nicely redone on the inside. A little hard to get inside, the door, needed a good push. Great shower and everything we needed. Mahanga met us in Gisborne and suggested places to see. The church in Tikitiki was definitely worth it. Unfortunately the weather didn’t help and we didn’t see Hikurangi

Great location across road from driftwood strewn beach. Lovely beach to walk along. Easy access to the Lodge nearby for dinner-fresh local fish. Could have cooked at Jan’s-great selection of cooking gear. Lovely to sleep with sound of the waves.
