We stayed at Hidebehind for our honeymoon, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, Scott made us feel so special by preparing sparkling wine and a balloon to celebrate. The house was spotless, and they even plowed the driveway for us! Scott went above and beyond by offering us a late checkout so we could enjoy a more relaxed morning. Honestly, we didn't even feel the need to leave the cabin—it was the perfect place to unwind. We absolutely can't wait to return!

This place is a GEM. We chose this spot based on my husband's request for a quiet cabin with a hot tub for his birthday, Matt and Leslie's home more than delivered. The house is beautifully decorated and extremely cozy. It has absolutely EVERYTHING you would ever need - whether it be kitchen utensils, extra blankets, books, toiletries, etc. Directions are easy to read and follow and very straightforward. Leslie was extremely quick to respond to anything, and offered excellent suggestions as to where to go and what to do around the area (we highly suggest visiting Harry's Hardware & Den in Cabot!). Don't be deterred by the additional paperwork and deposit that is requested prior to booking. I can assure you, this was a very easy and painless process. It is extremely clear as to why this would be required once you step into the cabin. Leslie and Matt have obviously put in a huge amount of work, detail, and love into this space, and care for it as well as those who choose to stay here!

We stayed at Jennifer's cabin for our annual ski trip. The location is right next to Sugarbush and close to Mad River Glen, which meant we could get right on the slopes in the morning. The cabin was clean and cozy, with all the amenities you would want in a ski cabin. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after coming off the hill. Also, there were plenty of local restaurants to eat at close by. We would definitely stay here again!

We appreciated how pet friendly this place was! Fenced in yard. Blankets to cover the furniture to allow dogs on them. Close enough to many different ski mountains. Perfect to come home to the wood stove and hot tub.

We had a lovely and relaxing stay. The cabin and surrounding property are beautiful, and Evangelyn was a wonderful host. If you’re looking for a peaceful, “home away from home” getaway, this is just the place.

This home and neighborhood was picturesque- exactly what we expected and wanted for our extended family vacation. My niece fell in love with the area on this trip and now wants to move to Stowe. I especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, linens and easy access firewood for the fire pit. My kids saw snow for the first time on the deck of this home. It was magical. We will never forget this house.

I decided to explore New England during a weekend and needed a place to spend a night. Not many options in the region. Tracy quickly responded to my request. The Tiny Cabin is a nice and simple option, in a very quiet place. Thanks for experience, Tracy!

This is an ideal spot for a winter getaway, and Matt goes above and beyond to provide guests with the best possible experience. During the day, we enjoyed snowshoeing and sledding on the property. At night, the stars truly amazed us. We also enjoyed the cozy fire in the wood stove…a very nice thing for the cold temps we were having. The house is well stocked and beds are comfortable. We are so grateful for the few days we spent recharging at Skip’s Place.

My group had a wonderful stay. Maude provided all the info you could need before arriving. The cabin had plenty of cookware and supplies to last our stay. Everything was clean, easy to use, and Maude was very responsive to any inquiries. I would stay here again!

We had an absolutely spectacular time staying with Gerette! Her beautiful cabin was everything we hoped for and more. Our golden retriever had the time of her life bounding through all of the snow!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Owl's Head Cabin for a long weekend skiing at Jay. The cabin is small and cozy, very warm, and the right size for two people for a weekend. In addition to the main bed, there's a loft with a sleeping area, but you'd have to be very small to get into it and enjoy it; I'd guess the cabin would be a bit small for a couple with children but maybe if you're out all day it'd be okay. Cooking appliances worked well. The one note of caution is that you have to drive on a somewhat rough, uphill dirt road for at least 3 or 4 miles to reach the cabin. We fortunately did not have to drive during a time when there was actively snow falling on the road, but the 2wd sedan we rented definitely would not have made it in those conditions; it was a little harrowing even with just the slush and ruts left after plowing. So be careful if your trip coincides with nastier weather! Jason was very communicative and left clear instructions. Overall, we had a lovely stay.

We’d stayed at Will & Patti’s place before, prior to the pandemic, and were so pleased to see not much had changed - it’s still as beautiful and peaceful as we remember. The perfect place to get away for a weekend to hike and unplug from everything. We hope to stay longer next time!

Cosy, stylish cabin with cool hunting- and fishing-themed decor. Clean. Comfortable bed. Views of snowy hills and mountains. Host had plowed a good path through three feet of snow to the door. We hope to return in the spring and enjoy the views while sitting on the porch.

Sweet little cozy camp, very clean and comfortable. I would certainly stay again.

Tom was very responsive, he graciously offered us late check out upon request, lovely spot to bring the dogs and have them romp around the yard. Cozy.

We loved our time at this cozy cabin. It is very private and secluded. It had everything we needed for our stay. The wood stove heats things up quick and was easy to use. We were able to snowshoe right from the porch, as it snowed every day and there was plenty of property to explore. The cabin is close to alot of things we enjoyed. It is very bright and peaceful inside. The steps to the loft bedroom are steep, but we expected such. The road to the cabin can be sketchy with a fresh snow, but our AWD with all weather tires was more than capable. We did take it extra slow coming back down the hill to the main road as it had not been plowed. We would recommend to anyone wanting a private getaway and would definitely stay again!

No Notes! Everything was just perfect! Couldn’t ask for anything else. Pictures truly don’t do the views justice! Can’t wait to come back

My stay at Riddhi’s place was exquisitely pleasant. The house has an incredible natural vibe to it. It’s well decorated. Views were immaculate. The parking is easy. Check in & out was seamless. Perfect way to spend a weekend away in the mountains. In regard to her communication and accommodation, it was perfect. She responds fast. She is easy to talk to. And she accommodates for little needs that make a big difference. Because of her, my birthday snowboarding trip with my friends was everything I could ask for. I would 10000000% stay there again next time I go to Killington Ski Resort.

Dwayna was a phenomenal host; her cabin was clean and exceeded its description. We especially loved the surrounding trails. I highly recommend this stay to others and hope to be back next time we make the trip to Vermont!!

We celebrated my father’s 69th birthday in this winter oasis (I bet it’s an oasis any time of year). Snow plow came by every morning at 7:30. I’ve never experienced snowfall on a daily basis - it was beautiful. The home was clean and cozy. We hope the next folks who stay enjoy our stout little snowman in the back :) The only thing that could’ve made this experience better would’ve been a fireplace!

Highly recommend for any couple trying to get away for a few days! Wonderful private cabin with a few trails and a beautiful creek/river within walking distance from the cabin. Hosts were friendly and responsive. Not a lot of food options in Roxbury but there are several within 20-25 minutes of the place.

Great place to stay for a single person or a couple seeking a quiet setting, walks in the woods, or skiing at Stowe. No other houses in sight. Excellent value for money. Some details we loved: The lighted address sign, so when arriving after a long trip at night we knew we were in the right place. The wood stove was easy to use and the radiant heat was great after a winter day outdoors. The cabin is cozy, but that is not a euphemism for claustrophobic: it has lots of windows, two skylights, and plenty of space. Very communicative and hospitable host, Stephanie. We only dealt with her remotely, but she has a caretaker nearby. She made us feel welcome and was alway there to help. Our stay had more of a personal, than a corporate feel, which we appreciated. We were glad we had 4-wheel drive and snow tires. . guests should be sure to have one of those and, ideally, both, especially when snow is expected, as Stephanie will tell you. We would be happy to return to this home away from home.
