Family-friendly vacation rentals in Stanislaus River

Thanks Fred for a great stay. The apartment was well stocked for a few days stay. Large living space, patio, and bathroom. The location had a nice view as well. We would be happy to stay again.

The place is great, better than the photos actually! It has everything you’ll ever need, such as pots, cooking utensils, and cleaning supplies, and everything is very clean. However, one little con is that the internet is a bit unstable, no matter if we’re using cellular service or the purchased wifi.

Really enjoyed our quick overnight stay at Fred's place. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings. We saw a family of deer the moment we pulled up. We would come back and stay longer to really enjoy the amenities.

This is a wonderful spot. Top floor end unit with really lovely views(might be the best there) and very quiet. There were deer outside, hummingbirds, dragonflies and lots of sweet birds. Pool and games are close. And the people that work there were helpful and kind. There are a few spices in the cabinet but anything else you need to cook with you'd have to get at the grocery store or bring with you. Definitely equipped with all of the necessary utensils and linens. Having a grill was really nice. We would definitely stay again if we go back. Made for a fun and comfortable first night in Cali. We had a great time. Wonderful place and such a peaceful setting. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook a fantastic meal. So thankful Debbie and Steve shared there home and property with us.

Great property, beautiful views, loved that each room had its own bathroom, spacious lounge and kitchen. We ate a meal at the golf course restaurant which was good. Also visited Murphy’s, Angels Camp, the Calaveras State Forest and the New Melonies Marina…. Lots to see and do. Would happily recommend this property.

We had a great time staying at the house! It was a beautiful space and we all slept well. The only thing that I wish we had known beforehand was that the indoor living room fireplace wasn’t working. Otherwise everything was wonderful!

My second stay here and it does not disappoint. This place is quiet and secluded but near anything you might want to jaunt to in either Lodi or Stockton. My trip was for relaxation, sleep, and just personal downtime. There is some freeway noise, but only if you are outside. Inside, quiet as a mouse. On this trip, the lights in the kitchen were out. Gary was prompt to respond, came to fix them (a darn breaker flipped) which took no time at all, and was extremely aware and respectful of me in the space. Top notch service, in deed. I camped in front of the fireplace my entire stay. I picked up groceries from Raleys in Stockton, and was able to cook all my meals and dined with the very pretty stoneware that nicely matches the cottage vibe. I did not go outside much as this was a peace-and-quiet kind of trip, but the yards (front and back) are quite inviting. Even a stroll in the vineyard is nice. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home with plenty of room and every amenity needed.

This was a beautiful home and nehiborhood. The house was warm, clean, and smelled great whan we came in. There was a bit of a plumbing issue. We found that the sewer had backed up into the tub a bit when we arrived. I contacted the host and she was quick to respond that she had already called a plumber and they would be there soon to check out both sides of the duplex. The people in the other side of the duplex had contacted her earlier about the issue. We were impressed with her proactive and prompt response to this. Something for potential guests to know is that the street is very narrow and the driveway is tight. It is accessible but it may be difficult with a larger vehicle. We greatly enjoyed this neat home, quiet neighborhood and the host's hospitality. We felt safe and comfortable. My only concern is that one of the bed's metal frames is broken. The bed slid a little and the frame stuck out a bit after sleeping on it a couple nights. I look forward to staying here again!

Beautifully appointed and updated Craftsman-style home on a tree-lined block of 20s and 30s era houses. Lovely hardwood floors, large dining room with beautiful mahogany table like my grandparents had, with other period pieces integrated throughout the house. Working double-hung windows in all rooms. Comfortable bedrooms and very clean bathroom, all of which maximize space. Same for well-equipped kitchen. Plenty of room for a few cooks in the kitchen and an outdoor grill for a stay-in dinner. Indoor laundry/mudroom, perfect to clean dogs’ feet when they came in from the cute and completely fenced backyard. We walked to shops, restaurants, and historic public buildings. Mimi was a wonderful host. We will return to this cute little place!

This place was beautiful. Really close to Sonora and Columbia. Really cozy place.

We stayed here for about 2.5 months. Todd is an extremely helpful and friendly host who was sincerely concerned with the well being of our family. He was always available to assist with any issues we had. The house itself has a world class view of Lake Tulloch from the deck that youll never forget. We certainly had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend this place.

Great place to relax with the family. We cooked great meals in the well equipped kitchen, played fun games in the spacious yard with kids and dog, and enjoyed the easy walk to downtown Murphys for great wine bars and restaurants. The house had lots of special touches that made us feel right at home!

Our stay was amazing! There were seven of us, plenty of room for everyone. The outdoor spaces are incredible. We ate dinner around the pool our first night with the sound of the Calaveras River rushing in the background. The gas grill was perfect for cooking steaks. Mornings were spent drinking coffee on the kitchen deck watching the deer and fox that passed through. The bed were comfy, plenty of towel were provided as well as pool towels. Soap and shampoo provided as well! The only drawback was that we were there for only two nights. Jp and Maria were very responsive to the few question I had. We would most definitely recommend a stay there!

This was my second time staying here. Always a nice time. Made great memories with my family.
