Vacation rentals with a firepit in St. Tammany Parish

Whispering Oaks was not quite as advertised. From the moment we walked in, it was obvious the photos did not fully capture the beauty and spirit of the space. Surrounded by nature, well stocked, comfortably furnished and lovingly decorated, Whispering Oaks was the perfect setting for our girl's weekend getaway. We enjoyed Carrie's thorough yet completely unintrusive communication and quick response times. She was friendly and gracious and simply blew us away when she invited us to return to the property after checking out to search for a lost ear bud. On finding the offending device, she offered a tour of another of her listings that sparked our interest during our stay. Very Highly recommended.

This was our second stay at this location and loved it. We will stay again on all future visits. Jenna is so easy to work with and very quick to respond to any questions or concerns.

Needed a house in this area and it fit our needs perfect. Quiet and nothing fancy but clean with comfy beds and that's the most important thing. Would stay again for sure. TK

The outside pulling up at night is straight from a scary movie. But once you’re inside it’s perfect. Even the outside is perfect during the DAY. But night time! Yeah it looks very scary.

Perfect place for a guy weekend. Nothing over the top but plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the country life.

We had a great two night stay at Claire’s cottage. It was a great retreat at the end of the long days. Best art I’ve seen in an Airbnb; wonderfully curated!

Super cute area, lots of fun trails and close to town. Very helpful with last minute booking and responsive! Will be looking to book with again.

This cabin had everything we needed plus more! The beautiful hiking trails were a hit for my family. The canoes and the Cyprus pond were amazing! We loved sitting on the porch at all times of the day and night, watching and listening to the river and the many animals. The cabin has tons of things for kids to do that don’t involve electronics. We loved that Marvin met us at the cabin upon arrival to walk us through the cabin and show us everything down to the light switches. We had some chilly weather but this cabin was nice and cozy! Great place!

Super peaceful! Would be a wonderful place to get away from the noise and pace of a city! She was helpful whenever we had any questions!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this beautiful cabin! It was warm, homey, had a very comfortable bed and couch. We had plenty of beautiful sights to go see around the cabin within walking distance. Our pup really enjoyed getting to meet Beau and play with him. David was a wonderful host and made sure we were satisfied with our stay and asked if we needed anything at all. I appreciate a host that goes above and beyond with checking on their guests. We will absolutely stay here next time for our next event in this area!

Very private. Walking area with pond. Stars were very visible. If you want homey and quiet, this is the best place. About 30 minutes from town but nice drive. Terry was the best to rent from.

You can tell Krista really cares. She is responsive and had everything in place at the camp.

What a great find! Amazing location, quick 7-10 minute drive to all the shopping and restaurants you could hope for BUT the house itself is in its own little private world in the forest. We sat out on the porch in the rocking chairs every evening and in the morning drinking coffee. The "beach" is a real white sand beach with some of the clearest, cleanest water. I took a lovely walk on the trails every day. The cottage itself is so pretty and chic and the beds and pillows were excellent. We will be back in the Fall and plan to stay here again.

if you like camping, but you want running water a toilet and a shower and a comfortable bed. This is a place for you. You’re still going to be bothered by your regular pest that you would have outside but not nearly as much and there is Internet, but it’s out in the country so I hope you would enjoy the surroundings instead of trying to be online!

Our stay in the Bromeliad cabin was fun and cozy for our young family. The boys loved exploring the woods and creek behind the house and the campfire made for good memories as well. There is plentiful indoor and outdoor space to enjoy. The house is well-stocked which enabled us to make a delicious dinner, and while we stayed during a cold snap, the provided heaters kept us nice and toasty. Communication with the hosts was always quick and easy! We hope to be back in the spring to explore some more. Would recommend to anyone seeking a quiet, peaceful getaway.
