Vacation rentals in Smoky Lake County

James and I were working in the Smoky Lake County and came across this gem. Patrick & Debbie's place was a true home away from home for us during our two weeks stay. It's a beautiful woodsy back yard, lots of trees and privacy. We enjoyed hanging by the fire pit after a long day at work. Our walks around the lake and neighbourhood were tranquil. Their home was well equipped with everything we needed. The bed was comfy, nice big thick towels. They were quick to respond to us and easy to communicate with. It is quiet and peaceful location and we highly recommend staying here.

This cabin was just what I was looking for - an escape away from the city for a few days! It was handy that town was just a three minute drive away in case I needed anything. However, returning to the cabin felt like I was a world away from everything! You need to be prepared for any kind of weather scenario when staying here so make sure to bring everything you can think of that you may want for comfort.

We visited Ruger Ridge for a mother-daughter weekend getaway and were so glad for the opportunity to stay at this lovely, one-of-a-kind property. From the large, graceful pine which stands in the front yard to the superabundance of stars which we could view from the cabin at night, our stay here felt like something out of a fairy tale. The cabin is surrounded by an abundance of forest and trails which have been mapped out for guests. This immaculate cabin offered us everything we needed as guests, a very handy sink, a modern cooler/fridge inside, a smart tv and a classic wood fireplace which kept us completely toasty the whole stay. Theron made sure that we had plenty of wood and kindling and it was so convenient to pop outside the door and grab whatever we needed. Comfy, soft linens. Our hosts were generous and kind; we felt very welcome here. The cat and dogs added a special ambience. We wish that we had booked more days to enjoy here. It was a memorable stay from beginning to end.

We had an amazing Family Day weekend! The cabin was even better in person than in the pictures. We felt right at home with a well appointed kitchen with everything you could ask for, plenty of room for 6 adults, 2 toddlers and our dogs, very large bedrooms with really comfortable beds, 2 bathrooms, 1 with a bathtub which was so convenient to bath the little ones. The outdoor property is beautiful and private, unfortunately the weekend was extremely cold so we were not able to spend much time outside but we were so grateful to have the 2 working wood fireplaces to keep us all warm and cozy. The hosts were very quick to respond and accommodating when we asked for a little bit of a late check out. We highly recommend this property and would be very happy to return.
