Beautiful and very roomy and spacious house. Warm and comfortable. Well equipped.Particularly for the two dogs - utility room and nice secure garden and park very close. Great to have 4 x bathrooms/shower rooms. Great walking distance into town. Thouroughly enjoyed our stay.

A little gem of a place. Lovely local pubs. We felt right at home straight away, the cottage is well equipped, warm and comfortable. Molly was a really helpful, responsive host. We would definitely recommend this lovely cottage.

Terry was very helpful and responsive. The Forge is very quaint, its clean but not pristine (decor is aging) but homely and comfortable. My parents found it a little difficult as the sofas are very low., and the downstairs bedroom option is only a sofa bed so wasn't suitable for them as I had hoped. But there was room for everyone and it was lovely and warm. Kitchen well stocked for Christmas cooking, although there are no numbers left on the cooker dials so that was a bit of guess work. The parking was a bit irritating as only one space at the cottage so loading and unloading of multiple cars was messy. Chinley is a fantastic location with lovely views, ample shops and pubs for all the basics and a nature reserve where you can let the dogs off lead. A great place for large families to come together to cook and eat together, various comfort levels for the beds which were basic, bathroom facilities very basic/dated. This large house was a Christmas Blessing to our family

Absolutely loved our time at Grace’s. We had everything we needed and more at the house, including a huge DVD collection!. The kitchen was lovely and has everything you would need. The decor is lovely and the whole place felt very homely. Grace has thought of everything. Thank you for having us!

We had a amazing weekend really didn’t want to leave , host were always helpful if message when coming home they put heating which was fantastic, son lived the garden with the trampoline and slide would definitely visit again thanks Robbie

Beautiful little cottage, well appointed and very cosy. All the little extra's Mark left were really thoughtful and much appreciated. For two of us and our Dippy Dally this was perfect. Mark could not have been more helpful with the odd queries we had. Would highly recommend and would definitely come back. Thank you Mark!

We had a wonderful stay at Barn Cottage. Jackie and Mark have gone to great lengths to ensure guests have everything they could possibly need. Jackie was incredibly helpful in the run up to, and for the duration of our stay. Youlgreave is a lovely, peaceful little village. After spending our days exploring and walking around neighbouring towns and villages, there was nothing better than returning to the home comforts of Barn Cottage! We highly recommend staying here and would happily return.

Bethan was really great before we even arrived reaching out and offering us both earlier check in and later departure, which were both hugely appreciated. The house was great. The bedrooms are all really spacious and comfy. The living room was really cosy with an open fireplace. Secure garden to let the dogs have a wee. The kitchen was well equipped and clean and the bathroom was really lovely too with a free standing bath. The house was just everything we could have asked for and more, and Bethan was really easy to reach, responsive and understanding when I broke a glass washing up. Penistone has all the amenities you could want, pubs, cafes, bars, takeaways, and a few options for groceries including a big Tesco all within walking distance of the house. On top of that, incredible moorland and woodland was just a short trip away so what more could you want?

Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.

We loved our stay at the cottage. Festively decorated and we had a nice welcome surprise on arrival. Check-in was super easy and we had quick replies with any queries we had. Comfy beds and vintage decor and furniture. Only negative was that I thought the radiator in the double room wasn’t working, until check out day when I realised it was just turned down to zero! So I was chilly most nights! 🤣. The swimming pool was great and we had it all to ourselves which was a bonus. I didn’t see the games room but friends kids that visited had a great time there. I would recommend and I would stay again for sure!

We had a wonderful stay at Annabel’s and will definitely be going back asap! It was perfectly peaceful with gorgeous surroundings and was even better than the pictures! The pool was much bigger than we thought and was such a joy to have, the decking area was huge with stunning views and the garden truly magical! This was great value for money! Annabel was a fantastic host and very helpful and friendly and the animals were all very friendly too! The cats didn’t come to close though as we had our dog, who had a dream just roaming free! Thanks Annabel, be back soon !

Amazing stay at Steven’s farm with my son. The cottage/apartment had everything you could possibly need, was spotless clean and cosy. The pool was also spotless and nice and warm. We had a great time, just wish we stayed longer! Will definitely be back to try out the other accommodations on site!

Lovely night away, just wished we had booked for longer! Great facilities at the house. Scott was great when responding to any queries in the lead up to our stay and was really helpful. Will definitely be booking again.

Instructions to get there were very clear and easy to follow. Although it became a hassle in the end to have to open 3 gates (one with a padlock) every time you arrive or leave. Gates aren’t super well lit either which makes it a bit harder later at night or when it got really foggy. The place is described as “remote” note it’s really really remote. Nothing super close to the house. The house is super clean, even though dogs are allowed. No weird smells at all! The only sad part for us was the lack of Christmas tree/decor over the holidays. So we had to figure something out to still make it feel Christmassy for the kids. We’ve met the farmer, he was super nice. Beds, sheets and towels were spotless.

Our party of 3 couples really enjoyed our stay in this lovely, comfortable cottage. The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped and the lounge very cosy, with enough comfy seating for us all. Youlgreave is a beautiful village with many options for walks directly from the house. Communication with Simon and Jen was excellent and we would definitely recommend their cottage as a great base from which to explore this beautiful area.

We had a wonderful stay at Sam and Annie’s place. The cottage is so spacious for two people, and was very comfortable. Lots of hot water and plenty of firewood to keep the fire going. Just down the road from the Monsal Trail, we enjoyed walking into Bakewell and exploring the area. The local pub does great food too! We would happily return. Sam and Annie were always reachable and willing to help with whatever we needed. Thanks again!!

This is a very comfortable, cosy cottage with the most amazing views. It is in a quiet and rural setting with footpaths right from the door up onto the moors or to the reservoirs. A short drive and you can access many more walks. The cottage is spacious and well furnished.

We had a gorgeous weekend at this cottage. As we stayed in Feb, it did take a while to warm up the cottage - but it was an exceptionally cold weekend outside (as confirmed by the locals!) and we ended up very cosy. The village is beautiful, lots of great walks and a lovely pub. Would definitely stay again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful countryside getaway :)

Lovely February weekend stay at this Shepherd’s hut, two of us and our golden retriever. Was very clean and well equipped. It was nice and warm thanks to the underfloor heating and Sharon also provided an extra heater in case we needed it. Great location and easy to find using what3words. Longnor was only a short walk away, we stopped at the Cheshire cheese inn for a couple drinks after our walk - a welcoming pub with a lovely fire. Would stay again!

Our stay was lovely. Property was beautiful perfect location for our plans and the communication before and after was great. Wish we could have stayed longer!
