House vacation rentals in Shaftesbury

We had a lovely family time, despite some dodgy weather. Great space for the two young grandchildren (and the dog!) Katie was an excellent communicator with very quick and helpful responses to any query. Really appreciated that she could be flexibie with check in/out. If you like pizzas I'd recommend La Pergola (stone baked pizzas) which is a five minute drive away and they do take away pizzas to collect. Looks very good place to eat in as well.

We had 3 adults and 6 kids under 4 in the caravan and we had an amazing time. We didnt actually spend that much time in the air b and b as there is so much to do in the local area and the facilities are so good. This is especially good considering it is February! The hosts were so responsive and understanding. We are hoping to come again and recreate a magical stay. We had reservations about so many toddlers in such a small space but it was a great set up. We were a group of 15 friends and family - adults, teenagers and children - celebrating new year together. The property suited us perfectly and had everything we needed for a great few days. The location is excellent for the Jurassic coast beaches and Lyme Regis.

We had a wonderful stay with all our family to celebrate a special birthday - we loved the house, all able to eat together around the table was wonderful, enjoying chatting and drinking in the beautiful lounge and the younger ones loved the hot tub and braver ones the swimming pool. Great position for all the lovely New Forest areas and walks

Gill and George made us feel welcome from the start. The property is perfect for the family get together which grew after booking. Gill was extremely accommodating with the changes we made last minute and made our stay at the house really enjoyable. The house was spotless with all the bedrooms set up perfectly and the layout of the property also allows for some quiet time if you have 16 staying! The kids (and adults) had plenty to entertain themselves with from Pool, Table tennis, table football, board games and hot tub. I would highly recommend the house to any family wanting a house to celebrate or holiday together. 3-4 excellent local pubs for great food and a farm shop next door selling the basics and great breakfast sandwiches!

My family and I have just returned from a 4 night stay at The Oaks and we all wished we could have stayed longer. The house is well equipped, clean and tidy. There was plenty of room for 7 adults and 1 infant. The bedrooms were comfortable with fresh linen. I particularly booked this accommodation for the outside pool and this didn't disappoint. A perfect size pool for us and we enjoyed sitting around the garden and pool area. Beautiful Sobo beach is walking distance from the house and there are many good places to eat and drink nearby. We enjoyed a birthday celebration lunch at The Captains club restaurant which we would highly recommend, great food and attentive staff. A big thank you to Maggie And Peter for a great airbnb property.

My friends and I visited the property over a weekend to catch up as we all live far away from each other these days. the house was a perfect for our needs and the town centre location meant we didn't need to use our cars for the entirety of our stay. restaurants, pubs and supermarkets were all within waking distance, and yet within 10 minutes walk you can be out in the countryside enjoying the fresh air. The host was really helpful and responsive and the house was spacious and clean. The kitchen was really well stocked with utencils and cooking implements etc, and having things like dishwasher tablets and coffee pods available made our stay really easy. Would definitely recommend and would use the property again if I was staying in the area.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay. The town centre is a perfect distance away that you can walk in in about 10-15mins but far enough away to not feel like you're staying in a busy town centre. Louise sorted us parking permits out and we easily parked 3 cars in the local streets, not right outside but this wasn't an issue. The house is great, 4 good sized clean bedrooms, a lounge, dining area and kitchen. Louise had left us a few goodies and some milk as a welcome gift, Tesco is a short walk away to grab any other bits you need and we had a lovely meal out locally too, plus lots of recommendations of good places to go. Thank you for a very lovely weekend.

Lovely little place in an ideal location. Beautiful decoration & appliances. Gorgeous little terrace/decking. Excellent communication with host. Nice & clean. Very comfortable bed. Sofa would benefit from a throw or cover as it looks a bit tired, but is also v comfy.

A lovely house that more than adequately accommodated our family of 8, with room for more if needed. It is on quite a main road, so traffic can be heard from the front bedroom, but this didn’t ruin the experience for us. Great space for relaxing, dining and playing games with the family over the New Year break. The kitchen is pretty well equipped for most self catering requirements. There are a number of beautiful beaches, towns and scenic spots within minutes away from the house, so something for everyone within reach. Katie was easily available for any enquiries and not far away if needed. She is a very hospitable host! We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again!

We loved Tony and Marie's place. A real 5 star place. A beautifully formed two bedroomed semi detached property at the end of a small row of houses. Place had everything and more for a short and long stay, and no clutter. Perfect for us who wanted to visit Bath and Bristol. Hope to return again. Thank you Marie and Tony.

Tom’s place is so lovely. Our family had a great stay at his place. It was a short walk to the beach, which was an added bonus. Plenty of room, very clean and just as described. We would definitely stay again!

Excellent host, really good and clear communication. We booked this the day before so didn't get time to read all the instructions so had a few questions and got the answers from the host. House is very clean and plenty of beds so ideal for big groups. Main reason we booked this place was the hot tub, hot tub was great we used a it a couple of times, its in the garden and has a cover so even if its raining you can use it. Over all good place, value for money.

Angus was really helpful and proactive in ensuring our stay met our needs. He was really easy to contact in the build up and made sure he met us all on arrival.

We really enjoyed our stay over Christmas. The house was beautifully decorated and very accommodating for our family of 10. Lesley was a very attentive host and we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Lesley and John.

We had a lovely long family weekend in this beautiful house. Lots of character and there was space for 10 of us and a dog! Hot tub was a piece of luxury and there was a lovely (although, warning very muddy!) 2 hour circular walk on the doorstep. Although we didn't visit, the pub looked great and we'd definitely make a point of visiting it if we were to return!

Victoria’s house was beautiful, and perfect for our 2 families (8 people in total!) The wood burner was a lovely addition in the cold evenings. Bedrooms were an ideal layout for us and having 3 bathrooms was great and extremely helpful. The kitchen was stunning with fully equipped cupboards with everything needed. Very detailed information on house rules and expectations. Victoria was a perfect host and was very responsive to any questions. I didn’t have any issues for her to resolve as the house was perfect. The location was great for us as all the outings we had planned were a car drive away, we did go on a walk that was detailed in the information folder that was in the house, it was a lovely 2hrs in the countryside and something we wouldn’t have known had Victoria not put it in there. The local pub which is as 1 min walk did a lovely meal and Sunday roast. I would highly recommend this property, and Victoria as a host was amazing.

My band was playing a show at Chaplin's and we needed a place to stay the night that could accommodate 5 of us to avoid a very late night drive back to Southampton. Sarah Jane's home was perfect - space to park, a quick walk with all our gear, and SUPER comfortable beds! It was leaps and bounds a better space and value than the hotels we usually stay at for out of town gigs. We will definitely be looking to stay here again next time we're in town if it's available!
