The Bothy

SkyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our getaway to Kersmains bothy. It felt very luxurious, with plenty of space for two! The sunroom/ kitchen is a lovely space to cook and the living room is so cosy and atmospheric in the evenings. We loved the hot tub under the stars as there is very little light pollution. Perfect for a country escape to the borders.

A Scandi style vibe & hot tub.

Thank you so much for such a lovely stay. The accommodation was really lovely, warm and comfortable with amazing views. We enjoyed the walks from the door and Melrose was wonderful. The lemon drizzle cake, wine, flowers and milk were very kind.

5 Bed in Melrose (79418)

AlanRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Had a lovely stay in this property and location met our needs perfectly . Hot tub was worth paying a bit extra for . Flat would be ideal for a larger group as the rooms are very spacious and well equipped . Only comment would be that some information on car parking would be helpful for those not familiar with the area . We were unaware of the existence of a garage until after check in . I knew where to park without charge in Melrose but it would be helpful to provide this information to other guests . Thank you for our stay . I would definitely recommend to others .

Self contained cottage private garden and hot tub

AshleyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our stay at The Stables was heaven. Paul welcomed us and showed us around and had even set up the hot tub for us arriving. The house was immaculate with everything you could possibly need and beautifully decorated too. We loved the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom. The garden was beautiful and so peaceful and our two dogs loved it, it was completely secure for them which meant we could relax. The view from the garden and the location were wonderful, it was just what we needed. We didn’t want to leave and would love to come back sometime soon. Thank you for being wonderful hosts and for our cheeseboard and Prosecco it was such a thoughtful touch.

Pentland Hills cottage hideaway

CarolineRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Wonderful stay. The location is absolutely superb. What amazing views and so peaceful and remote. Sitting in the hot tub looking out over the hills was pure bliss!! And the stars you could see on a clear night, wow. Despite being so remote it’s close enough to Edinburgh that you can drive in and do all the attractions. So just perfect. Kylie was a fab host too, leaving Easter eggs for the kids and letting the kids feed her kunekune pig one day! The animals are great, especially Karen then hen, although she will come inside if allowed haha! All in all, we had a fantastic stay. Thank you Kylie

Samieston Lodge

KateRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Wow! We had a fantastic stay here. The house is really well thought out. The rooms are all great sizes. The secure garden is huge and perfect for the dog to run around in either the kids. I loved the little stream running past the front of the house. It was really clean and had everything we could possibly need. Sarah and Scott were really kind and very helpful when we couldn’t get the hot water to work fixing it really quickly. It really is the perfect place to get away from it all. I hope we will be back again soon.

The Hemmel, Old Town Farm

AlexRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The Hemmel was a really nice cottage to stay in. It's probably one of the best airbnb's we've been to. Kate was very nice and helpful. The photos don't do it justice as it's even better in the flesh. We were a family of 4 including a baby and it was super comfortable. The cottage is very private and peaceful. The lambs were out when we were there and we saw the red squirrel in garden each day. We'd would definitely return.

Foulbog Shepherds Cottage

BethRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We had another wonderful stay at Lindsay’s cottage. Lindsay was extremely helpful and quick to respond. We enjoyed cosying up when the weather was bad and just appreciated the peace and quiet. The girls and the dogs loved running around the secure garden and we had the added bonus of seeing some lambs on the hill. We’ll hopefully be back again soon.

Estate cottage in extensive gardens.

AnnaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This is our fourth time at the Bothy and it didn't disappoint. very comfortable and homely, set in beautiful surroundings. Lots of good places for dog walks and a useful base for visiting other places. This time we went to Hadrian's Wall. Just a short drive to Moffat so lots of amenities close at hand when needed. Karen is a great host - friendly, quick to respond and has lots of suggestions for licalmplaces local places. Our young dog also enjoyed a run around with her two dogs.

The Steadings Cottage

ClaireRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Perfect cosy bolthole on way south from Moray. After a long, wet and tiring 8 hours in the car it was a lovely cosy welcome. Beds were super comfy and everything spotless. The dogs enjoyed running around the field and Ros’s pub recommendations were great. We ate at the Capon Tree in Jedburgh which was tasty and great value. Shame not to spend longer in this part of the world but will definitely keep in mind if we return. Thanks!

Cosy, Romantic Bolthole for 2 - Coveyheugh Lodge

FionaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a lovely stay in Catriona's place. We enjoyed everything about the cottage, but especially the treat of having a log burner on chilly evenings. Easy access to the coast at Coldingham was an added bonus - walking a part of the coastal path and a picnic at the beach were highlights of our stay. A few reviews mentioned the proximity of the railway, but we didn't find it a problem at all. The cottage was very peaceful and restful. Overall we had a wonderful weekend and would definitely love to return in the future

Off grid rural escape in Selkirkshire

HelenRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Highly Recommend! Beautiful, well equipped cottage. It has been renovated to a very high standard. Kate, was an excellent host and very responsive. In the middle of a working sheep farm, sheep everywhere, so you must be able to control your dogs at all times. A beautiful break away from Wifi, phones and people. All shops about 16/18 miles away. A lovely place to reconnect and recharge. Thank you for having us, would love to come back soon ☺️

Northern Hideaways, Sunnyside

PaulRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Lovely spot that was perfect for our family. Views from nearly every side over rolling hills (very peaceful), easy walk to town and nearby trails to hike. Wasn’t far at all to places like Kielder Forest, Hadrians Wall or even Newcastle. As we stayed over Christmas, the hosts decorated the house to really make us feel at home! Would definitely stay again.

Luxury Scottish Cottage with Stunning Sea View

DanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Great few days at the cottage, sitting out on the balcony listening to sky larks and watching deer and hare run about was lovely. Very comfortable and well equipped with plenty of space for two families. We enjoyed some great walks and explored the coastline up to St Abbs and south to Eyemouth, Coldingham Bay was great for the kids with it's beach, cafe and surf shop. Coldingham itself is a lovely village with pubs, cafe and a quality butcher. All in all, a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

A fantastic stay at a fantastic property. Lois was very helpful and friendly in allowing us to reschedule our visit due to severe weather. The property is lovely and we felt immediately at home, with both the interior and expansive gardens exceeding our expectations. The village is tranquil and picturesque and we look forward to returning in the future.

Rustic Renovated Cottage, Sunset Views, Pets

LaurenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We’ve just arrived home from another amazing stay at the beautiful Border View cottage. Lucy is a fantastic host: super responsive, friendly and makes you right feel at home. Border View is a wonderfully charming cottage with spacious, airy rooms and amazing views. It is a very private and peaceful location and offers an array of nature walks which my little miniature schnauzer loved! You feel out of the way of the hustle and bustle, but still just a short car ride away from the busier villages in the area. To the rear of the property is a large garden with views across the pretty field and beyond - my favourite part was watching the stars at night as the sky is so clear here - beautiful! Lucy’s cottage is beautiful and has everything you need for a cosy stay including a log fire with logs kindly provided, a large kitchen and dining area and the beds are very comfortable. An absolute gem and we will definitely be back. Thanks Lucy! Best wishes, Lauren, Tracy, David and River x

Lovely, roomy accommodation in beautiful peaceful surroundings. We were only stopping over for a couple of nights on our way to Scotland, however, this accommodation would be ideal for a longer stay in the Borders.
