Cottage vacation rentals in Scandinavia

The cabin had everything you need just to feel at home. All the basic things were very well thought, no extra charges for linen, towels, wood or electricity. Great communication with Johnny but all the instructions were so clear that we did t need to bother him all the time with questions. The surroundings are so well kept and the hot tub was very popular for the whole family. It is very private and peaceful even thought there are 3 cabins of the same owner. We love that we could see the lake from the cabin. Extremely recommend this stay and it is mark as one of our favorites.

We spent a week over New Year's in Lene's cozy and hygge cottage in Rude Strand. We had a wonderful week despite the poor weather. The sauna definitely helped. :-) The sandy beach is just across the street and was perfect to walk along and dip (winter bathing). Aarhus is a 30 minutes drive away and an awesome city to explore. Many nice shops, museums, cafes and restaurants. There is a very nice bakery with a small store in walking distance (2km) and nice supermarkets in Odder. We will come back if in the area...

3 wonderful days with my family in beautiful and quiet surroundings. Day trips by car to Silkeborg and Aarhus, where we took a route on Himmelbjerget and visited Aros. Cozy mornings and evenings in the lovely countryside home with games, tea, and candles. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to try the wilderness bath, which was right out on the terrace.

Perfect weekend as group of 6. Clean, very nice houses with a lot to do. You will never regret renting this place, and the host is very helpful & always responsive! We will definetly go there again!

We stayed here with 6 adults in this beautiful house and felt very comfortable from the first moment! It was all prepared for us and we felt very welcome! The house has a quiet, beautiful location with beautiful views of the water! It's great equipped and we didn't miss anything! Great hosts and we highly recommend the house!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Lihna's cabin. Really worth a visit. There was firewood available and lots of calm. With a really nice fire pit and really beautiful surroundings. However, we had issues with the hot tub, which was green when we arrived. But we let Lihna know and got a really quick response. She then came and cleaned the bath. Great communication. All in all, really nice days. We would love to come back another time!

The second time at Lissie's place and we felt at home from the time we arrived. Lovely annex. Lovely warm upon arrival and even with beautiful tulips on the table. We'd love to come again

The cottage was wonderfully cozy and well-equipped. We felt very welcome, the baby who was in the cottage with us, and the dog was included in the stay. 😊 The location was peaceful and beautiful. The accommodation is very cozy and furnished with a lot of love for detail. We felt right at home. There is definitely everything you need and also for children there are plenty of toys available. The garden is large and fenced. Here, even smaller children can just be free and play without having to worry. However, you should check for ticks daily. Please be sure to pack a pair of tweezers. The surroundings are beautiful, picturesque and quiet. There are many hiking trails and also the sea is within easy walking distance. There is also a lot to offer here for the angler. Either roam from the in-house rowing boat in the archipelago, or buy a license at the Muskan/Fjättern. Catch guarantee! Emelie is quick to respond to questions and is very accommodating. A broken bike was repaired in the yard the next day! Thank you! One evening we could even watch the northern lights, we will never forget it!😍

Great place for the whole family to get out of the everyday struggle. Recommend!

Frederic’s cottage by the lake was a perfect getaway - spacious for two plus our dog, well-equipped for cooking, and surrounded by beautiful forests. The highlight was a fantastic Finnish sauna, perfect for unwinding after a day in Savonlinna. Frederic was a friendly and thoughtful host, making our stay seamless. Highly recommended!

This place is very special. Cute little cottage in the woods with perfect simple, tasteful decor. It feels personal and cosy and is not a sterile unlived-in rental - it is homely and idiosyncratic rather than generic. We loved that! It has a wonderful private beach and a very user friendly sauna - what more could you ask for? We did it all without a car and that worked well, getting a taxi for arrival and departure and then just all done on buses. 15mins walk to supermarket, pizza joint and the bus stop. Transport very simple with the Östergötland travel app. 10 mins on bus to Motala and then also easy to Vadstena (which is amazing and well worth a trip - takes an hour door to door). Daily swims in the (refreshing!) lake and we even saw the northern lights!

No words for how wonderful this place was, but I’ll try. The cabin has its own sweet little beach and is extremely private without being cut off from people should you require it. It is a peaceful, quiet, serene paradise. The main cabin has everything you need for sleeping, cooking and hanging out. Wood fire is great. Lots of staple food stuff in the pantry. Comfy bed and couch. Sauna/chill out cabin nicely done. Roomy sauna. Hot water. Comfy chairs. Outhouse toilet very easy to use, and so quaintly decorated. It’s adorable. Malin was a fabulous host. She even took us hunting for mushrooms so we would know what to eat and where to find good ones. Excellent hints also about how to view the northern lights. The setting is idyllic. We spent 4 days relaxing here and thought it was heaven. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Definitely highly recommended and thanks so much Malin for your thoughtful touches and for being such a great host.

The cottage was nice and warm on arrival. Very cozy cottage and very beautiful area. For questions, we were able to contact Asbjørn and we were well helped. Everything is great!!

This is where we want to go again! Fantastic cozy cottage that has everything you need to have a lovely stay. We celebrated New Year's Eve here with a dog and it was absolutely perfect! So cosy and homely!
