we loved the hostel experience! the people were super respectful and quiet in the night! the room was ok , very simple . we loved having a pool! the hostel was well equipped . There was a full kitchen and there was enough space for everyone!

The place seemed lovely, very neat, just as indicated in the photos. The hostess welcomed us very well, the premises were clean and beautiful. The apartment had all the amenities we occupied. Highly recommended. From us very grateful to the host and we hope to return in the near future.

Best location; walk to everything in town/beach. Loved the pool area and Destiny cafe was the icing on the cake. Amazingggg food/smoothies/ staff. Would absolutely recommend this spot and stay here again. The hotel staff was so friendly and accommodating as well.

The place is awesome! It’s got a great vide, love the pool, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The room is super clean, and comfortable. The place has a great laid back vibe. Ryan is an awesome host! He’s a big surfer and has a bunch of surfboards to rent at a great rate. He also has a quad to rent too. He’s super responsive with anything I need. A lot of the people have come back year after year here. And I am definitely coming back next year! I couldn’t recommended enough.

I stayed at TamaHostel for a week and liked it a lot. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. The dorms, bathrooms/showers, and kitchen were clean and well maintained. Highly recommend!

Everything was excellent 👌 from attention at the time of arrival, breakfast and the staff are extremely nice and friendly! We had a great time, we will definitely come back and recommend it to others who want to visit this area 👍

My family and I stayed at La Palapa in January. The location is right on the beach with a private area for guests and each room has it's own outdoor sitting area. Sleeping to the sound of the ocean and waking up with that view was wonderful. The location is also a short walk to everything in town. The staff was very helpful. There are many beach restaurants around the hotel, all play loud music, which we didn't mind at all, but if you are looking for a quiet area, this is not it. We stayed in 2 different rooms. #6 had 2 large beds, comfortable for 4 people, but the room itself was very small. Room #3 is a larger room but the loft only had a smaller bed, which made it hard for 4 people. The bathrooms could use some remodeling. The breakfast that was included was terrible at the beach restaurant, but the little Italian place was good. I would stay here again.

beautiful setting. lots of nature around the place. the food at the restaurant within the hotel was really good and the people were really friendly. there are a few nature trails on site. lots of birds to see. The place was quiet and quite clean and the pool was beautiful. great restaurant/bar on site while we were there, we hired a local guide to take us through the Rincon National Park. it was really great and quite affordable as well We would highly recommend this guide. Very nice place, rich breakfast

One of the best parts of travel is discovering new places through getting to know the people. Jeisha and Marcos are wonderful hosts, gracious and welcoming, and they felt like friends when we left. The property is perfect--I can hardly think of a more beautiful Airbnb experience. The attention to natural details is paramount; it feels like a real respite. Here we woke to birdsong, and saw howler monkeys having breakfast in the trees while we made ours in the kitchen. Too many details to list--best pool in the world, great bed/linens, impeccably clean, great security, private outdoor space, uncrowded shared spaces, stylish details everywhere. Jeisha and Marcos tend the place with loving care, offering local tips and lots of info about the animals and plants. For nature lovers, it's perfect. I am grateful we could spend 5 days in the place they so generously offer. Thank you, we can't wait to come back!

We had a great stay at the White Palms Nosara. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We didn't realize that breakfast was included and it was amazing! The pools, common area and landscaping are all really beautiful and we enjoyed just hanging out by the pools. There is a 10-15 minute walk to the beach which we often saw lots of birds and howlers monkeys on. It is right next to Bodhi Tree Yoga if you want to take yoga classes. There was a house being built next door so there was construction noise on most days but that is pretty common for the area. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others!

We had the best stay at this airbnb. The cleaners did an amazing job and had everything looking pristine everyday. The host was also very friendly and super responsive whenever we needed anything. The house itself was amazing and had anything we may have needed the whole stay with so much room to spread out. The outdoor bathroom made the stay 10 times better and such a unique feature. If you are wanting a quiet and private vacation this spot is perfect with a 4 minute uber or 20 minute walk to the town. I would 100% recommend and would definitely stay here again.

A cozy place to enjoy as a family. Everything was very clean and tidy.

This was the perfect place for two families of five totaling four adults and six kids ranging in age 4-10. The checkin process was seamless and renting out an entire bed and breakfast that includes 10 rooms is pretty awesome! We were able to split all the kids appropriately and still have rooms to spare. The kitchen is awesome and fully stocked (as you'd expect from a bed and breakfast). Excellent communication start to finish was a great touch! Even during our stay we were able to turn on and off the housekeeping as required to ensure we had a comfortable stay. Walking distance (even for our 4 year old) to Ocotal beach. It can be a little rough for little ones, but my 8 year old LOVED the waves. You can easily access many beaches such as Playa Hermosa (our favorite), Playa Panama, and Playa Coco. Coco has all you'll need including Costa Rican and more North American style grocery stores, restaurants, and retail stores. Make sure to check out Deep Blue Diving!

This was a really cool place to stay. There's only a few cabins available so if you're thinking of going, book quickly. Very private, clean, and peaceful. Service with a smile (even if you lock yourself out of your room in the evening 😊). They have a great restaurant onsite with a delicious brunch menu. The beach is a good 15 -25 min walk (depending on the path chosen), but it's a nice walk, between the mangroves, howling monkeys, iguanas, and the rest of the ecosystem Costa Rica has to offer, it'll only feel like a couple of minutes. Btw, you'll get to see most of it from your cabin too. Restaurants are also 15min walk on average. Avellana is up and coming, and if you're looking for a 5 star all inclusive hotel with all you can eat buffet, party around the pool, and bottomless margaritas, this isn't the place for you... it might open your eyes to a new way of traveling and experiences though. (if you know, you know!) I highly recommend Soul Shine! Super friendly host & staff!!!!

Excellent private place, with everything you need, perfect for relaxing, for sure.

Carlos and his mother Ruth are very nice people. We had a good time chatting with them and they told us interesting things about the country. The accommodation is beautiful, the ideal room, the fully equipped kitchen and has an outdoor area that we loved, full of fruit trees, hammocks and tables with LED lights for breakfast or dinner quietly. Highly recommended!

Very nice place to stay with kitchen, great bathroom, nice pool and terrace. The place is not so accessible yet and therefore less busy, even on the beach which is beautiful! Overall, it's a very warm climate in Avellanas. But overall very nice and Justin is a great host! I would definitely come back!!!

Best little boutique in Tamarindo!! close to everything and wonderful staff!!

This is a great place and very private for either one person or a couple. It has a small fridge, bathroom and bedroom. That is about it. For me it was exactly what I needed for a diving day. Bear in mind that you will need to park outside of the property. However, I had no issues with the car.

Our hostess was very kind and helpful as we arrived late due to airplane cancellation. She also helped us search for a lost item.

Totally safe and relaxing accommodation super quiet place, privacy at 100, Doña Julia was always very attentive, Not recommended for cars as the street is ballast and a little in poor condition
